Elements 12 not reading files as raw on MAC

Today is day one of my use with a new Macbook Pro! I am having a hard time with Elements 12. So far it is not reading my Nikon's raw image files as raw but just calling them jpeg. So when I open in camera raw it won't allow me to change all the settings like it does on raw files, but treats them like jpeg and has limited editing options. How can I get it to read them as raw? My macbook pro is showing them as raw files. I have a converter for NEF to DNG but that won't read them as NEF (raw) files either so therefore won't convert to DNG which I know on my Windows would then read them as raw. I hope this makes sense and someone can help!!

Camera Raw w Nikon D810-PS6 not reading files

Recently purchased Nikon D810, my PS6 not reading files. Tried downloading Adobe DNG Converter (8.6) as a work around, (but doesn't that reduce your original NEF file to about half?) and that didn't seem to work...Then I tried downloading the PS CC, (which I really didn't want to to do bc I just recently purchased PS 6, but I can't seem to get through the credit card screen... What am I doing wrong and once I do get the subscription, is PS CC now up to speed with these new RAW files for the Nikon?

Which operating system are you using?
Photoshop cs6 should be able to open the Nikon D810 files.
If in photoshop cs6 you go to Help>About Plug-In (windows) or Photoshop>About Plug-In (mac) and click on the words Camera Raw, what version does it say?
Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get camera raw 8.6?
Also, how are you transferring the nikon nef files to your computer?
I ask because older versions of nikon transfer can corrupt the nef files in such a way that the photoshop camera raw plugin will not open them.

FtpAdapter not reading files consistently

I'm using Ftp Adapter to read files from ftps server. It is not reading files consistently. All of a sudden it stops reading the files. Once I restart the run time instance, it starts reading again. There are no errors in logs.
The wsdl configurations and oc4j-ra.xml is given below. Is there any configurations to be done for clustered environment? There are 2 run time instances trying to read files from same directory in the same ftps server.

The fact that two instances are reading the same directory doesn't look that good to me. In parallel, the DB Adapter, polling for new records must not have two instances polling for the same table! Another issue could be problems on the FTP server itself. FTP connections are in Passive mode. It could be that the FTP server runs into portnumbers that are blocked in the firewall. This can be read from FTP logging on the FTP server itself.

Hi All,
I have been observing the webgate installed on a webserver giving me a warning "Could not read file filename E:\Apps\NetPoint\Webgate\access//oblix/apps/common/bin/globalparams.lst".
It generally happens early in the morning, probably it happens after a server re-cycle.
I am just wondering what could be the reason for it.
Is there any significance of double forward slash (//oblix/) in the path given?
Any help will be appreciated..

Check with support or check the metalink bug database - I'm sure this is a bug and you can ignore the message, but you should verify.

Adobe Indesign & Illustrator CS6 will not open files off server after Mac Maverick update.

I updated to Mac OS X Maverick and all the sudden my InDesign and Illustrator will not open files off of my works network. I read somewhere about installing the new Java update may help fix it, but I tried it and it did not. I have restarted my computer and reset the connection to the server multiple times, but it does nothing.
The exact message I get is: "Cannot open the files "xxxx.indd" Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file may be missing, or the file may be open in another application" I know for a fact that it is not open in another application so it is not that. I have tried multiple files on the server as well.
For Illustrator, I try to open a file from the server and it just freezes and does not respond so I have to force quit.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

If you had asked before you did this I would have told you not to move to Mavericks unless you were prepared for problems. I’m not a proponent of upgrade installations for operating systems and there’s no way to eliminate that as the cause.
That said, before you start erasing the whole machine, try uninstalling CS6 and then reinstalling it. You might want to run the cleaner tool after the uninstallation.

Can not read file from URL

I have this code for loadbitmap() function:

And the file is a .bmp file, so I go on decoding this etc. It works fine within VisualCafe.
When I created a virtual directory in IIS and run this applet from

I get in 1.3.1 Plug-in this error:
codeBase is=http://localhost/ImageApplet/duke/some1.BMP

If a type this as address in browser, it shows the image.
Could any one tell me what I am doing wrong here?

I could understand a SecurityException but a FileNotFoundException... A FileNotFoundException... You are reading from a stream originating from a URL, not a file!!!

"Could not read from source" exporting on Mac with CS4

I'm using Premiere CS4 on a MacBook Pro, trying to export a film and getting the "could not read from source" message. I did not have CS3, and I'm not on a pc, so the Windows KB articles and posts don't apply. I've read all the posts I can find on the forums but none of these solutions is helping to date.
Are there any troubleshooting steps someone can recommend to figure out what I need to do here?

I have been having the same issue on my desktop and laptop, although I have Windows XP Professional. Originally had CS3 and then installed CS4. The problem was fixed by uninstalling everything Adobe (even Reader), using the wincs3sclean, and reinstalling the CS4 products. The first time it did't work on my laptop, so I did it a second time and it worked. I don't have Creative Suite, but this still works. Here is the link to wincs3clean:

PI sender communication channel not reading files from NFS directory

Hello,
I have a sender communication channel configured to read file from NFS directory which is on ECC server. A program in ECC generates the file and puts it on the ECC server in the output directory. PI sender communication channel is supposed to pickup this file and process it. If I give the NFS path as the source directory, I am getting error: Configured source directory '//Server/DIR/OUT' does not exist. I tried putting '
Server\DIR\OUT' too but same error. Do I have to add the NFS path of ECC into PI as logical path?
Any suggestions?

Your ECC server is an external system, therefore you need to activate FTP service in that system and use the transport protocol FTP:

You can use NFS protocol when you have a local directory in XI server.

FILE ADAPTER NOT READING FILE.

HI, GUYS.
I'M USING A FILE ADAPTER TO READ A FILE THAT HAVE 4 REGISTERS AND EACH REGISTER ONLY HAS ONE FIELD THAT IS NUMBER TYPE.
I CREATE THE FILE ADAPTER, AND I LET BPEL TO CREATE THE SCHEMA. THE IDE CALLS THES FIELD "C1". I ALSO CONFIGURE THAT THE FILE THAT MUST RAD IS THE PATTERN "*.TXT" AND EVERY 5 SECONDS.
THEN A CREATE A RECEIVE ACTIVITY THAT RECEIVES WHAT WAS READ FROM THE FILE ADAPTER IN A VARIABLE.
THEN I CREATE AN ASSIGN ACTIVITY AND I ASSIGN THE VALUE FROM THE RECEIVE ACTIVITY VARIABLE TO A NUMBER VARIABLE THAT IS THE INPUT OF A WEB SERVICE.
THEN I DEPLOY THE BPEL, AND I INITIATE IT, BUT I GOT AN ERROR THAT SAYS THAT THE FIELD "C1" IS EMPTY. SO LOOKS LIKE THE FILE ADAPTER IS NOT READING THE FILE. I WOULD THANK ANY HELP THAT YOU CAN BRING ME.

File adapter not reading file suddenly

My File to IDOC scenario was working properly. Suddenly the file adapter is not picking the file from the location. I have not changed any code. I checked all users, are in unlocked mode only. The log file throws error. Let me know any solution to resolve this

File Content Conversion : Recordset Structure with * not reading file

Hallo all,
we have the following problem.
we implemented a scenario as sown in this blog
/people/venkat.donela/blog/2005/06/08/how-to-send-a-flat-file-with-various-field-lengths-and-variable-substructures-to-xi-30
but there is a problem.
If the file structure is declared as :
Header,1,Items,*
then the adapter does not even read the file from the directory (so I assume that for some reason the file structure is not as expected).
If on the other had the structured is declared as :
Header,1,Items,3
everything works.
Obviously though, this is not satisfying since we need variable cardinalities.
Here is an example :
I have a specific file in a standard directory, called xi_input.
The file is edited straight into that directory, so there can't be filename errors etc.
If the file is left empty :
Nothing happens . No message of any kind in sxmb_moni/monitoring xml messages .
If the file contains the following (data is random) , where 'H' is the key for the header and 'I' is the key for the items :
H 20060403 16 3 316001 kapou lalla morellala 20060403 F3 23
I 277101010 2
I 277101011 3
I 277101012 4
There are to cases :
if the file structure is declared as :
Header,1,Items,*
Then nothing happens .

Only that they don't look very helpful. From this I only understand that the data in my input.dat file is not in the format expexced.

What can be wrong....

My current version adobe reader is not reading pdf's on my mac

Why would my adobe reader not "read" my pdf's on my mac? It just stopped a couple of days ago. It works on my PC, and on adobe online, so it's not the documents.
