Elements 12 Organizer won't let me Rate my Photos

In Elements 12 Orginizer it won't let me rate my photos. I am trying to go through them to rate them from 1-5, but when I click on a photo it says that " The requested operation could not be completed because the catalog is currently locked by another process" Then when this pops up I see little red locks at the top left corner of my photos. What's going on? It's important that I cull my photos. Please help!!!

Anyone out there can help me with this?

A window opened indicating that many of the photos had tags, and asking if I wanted to add the tags. I said yes, and the process began. When it reached 60% a window opened indicating that "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working", with the only option being to "Close program."
I've since tried to open organizer several times, but it goes immediately to "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working". I was able to open Editor, and tried opening Organizer from Editor, but encountered the same problem.
FYI, I have an open case (#0214505556), but have not received the help I need.

Premiere Elements 9 Won't Let Me Export Video. What's Wrong?

So I have been trying to edit a recent Let's Play video for my Youtube channel, but there is a huge problem. The program won't let me export my video. I tried to export it as a .mpg; but it will never finish rendering. I've tried other formats and the same thing happens. I tried making a new project file and the same thing happened. It will usually get to 1% or 47% and then the estimated time will start increasing and the video won't save any further. I've edited videos with these type of files before (.M2TS, .MP4, .WAV, & .PNG) and it has rendered just fine. Please help me because I have people who are asking for this video. My computer runs Windows 7 Professional and has 2GB of RAM.

You've got a couple of issues to be concerned with, Cwood.
First -- are you really running a Windows 7 Professional computer with 2 gig of RAM! If so, it's surprising you can even run Premiere Elements. I highly recommend you upgrade to 4 gigs of RAM at the minimum -- and, if your OS is Windows 7 64-bit, possibly 6 or 8 gigs. RAM is your computer's lungs. Without adequate RAM, your computer can barely breathe!
Also, make sure that you have adequate free space on your hard drive (I'd recommend at least 100 gigs) and that you have run Disk Cleanup and the Defragmenter so that Premiere Elements has adequate free space to use for temp and render files.
Second, editing video from recording software like Let's Play can have a number of inherent problems. What format is Let's Play recording your video as? If you open the video file in Media Info or G Spot, what frame rate, resolution and codec is displayed?
Finally, I would very much recommend AGAINST using an MPEG output for your YouTube output. MPEGs, like DV-AVIs, are interlaced videos, and they are really not going to look good at all when you post them online?
Have you tried using Premiere Elements 9's Share/Online/YouTube to output your video?

Adobe Premiere Elements 9 Won't let me sign into Youtube.

I got Adobe Premiere Elements 9 about a year ago from my brother's college and suddenly it won't let me sign into Youtube on 1 account. When I go to share>online>Youtube it takes me to a sign in and all of my logins work except 1. The password hasn't been changed and no one has been on my account but it says incorrect username and password so it won't let me sign in. I'm pretty sure this has only been happening since APE 10 came out.

I just got this email from Google. The troubleshooting steps only apply to a mail client. I'm pretty sure the unauthorised attempt, which contained the correct user naem and password, was Premiere Elements. I think Google has made me a victim of its ubiquity. As though managing passwrods were not already difficult enough.

I just transfered a lot of mini DV to my harddrive using a roxio transfer which transfered fine and it plays in my media but after importing it to the premier elements organizer it wont let me play it because it says the my system does not have right comp

2. What did you do - DV or HDV capture firewire? For DV AVI, what did you produce DV AVI type 1 or DV AVI type 2?
If HDV, what do you have MPEG2.mpg or something else, like MPEG2.m2t?
3. Please download and install the free codec utility named GSpot

Premiere Elements 7 Won't Let me place video on same track

I'm editing a project, so far, I'm putting all the video on track 1. For some reason, it won't let me add another clip to track one. Premiere creates a new track, and puts the video there, even though there are 2 other empty tracks available. I tried to work around it, but putting the previous clip on the newly created track 4, but Premiere won't let me do that either. It creates yet another track.
The video clips are in the same format, shot from the same camera. I would be fine leaving the video on the new video track, except that I need to put a transition in between the clips. Why is this happening?

You are right. Although the video was shot with the same Sony AVCHD camera,(in 5.1 Dolby) the clip that won't go where I need it to be was shot with the camera in a waterproof housing, which only has stereo mics. It must deactivate the Dolby on the camera. (Looking at the clip properties, I see that the audio is different) I unlinked the video and audio, and was able to put the video on track 1, while leaving it's audio on the new track.

Iphoto won't let me import my photos because it has a problem downloading an image

I need to backup my phone because i'm getting a new one, but it won't let me back it up because i've no space left so since i have over 3000 photos in my photo library, i was going to import it to iphotos, but once i try to import it, i get a notification that it couldn't download an image. WHAT IMAGE? It won't tell me!

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Photos won't let me edit my photos. The adjustment controls black out when I click on "Edit".

deleting them may be what gave you the mess.. I am torn- if I give bad advice at this point, going into the realms o knowledge where I am a newcomer might get me yelled at.
If it were me, and I was impatient for a cure, I would open iPhoto, connect the memory, open two finder windows- and from the window showing the memory with the saved pics on the external, drag to the finder window showing iPhoto, the pieces you had deleted, and see if they can get back into place and act like they were never moved.
The only other thing I can think of would be make a back up of all of iPhoto, then delete it completely and download a replacment, and never mess with the library again. HOWEVER: I do not know if apple condones or allows that- so you maybe need to get to a genius appointment at an apple store near you, or try to do the phone help.
Like I said- I have seen many warnings to not mess with the memory of iPhoto.... I guess this is an example of WHY.
I apologize that I do not have an easy way out of your nightmare.

Photoshop Elements Organizer won't launch

In Photoshop Elements 8.0 I attempted to order photo prints through Shutterfly. The transfer never completed. Now when I open Photoshop Elements and click on Organize, the Organizer never launches. I would like to retrieve all the folders of photos I have organized, captioned, made into CDs, etc. with Photoshop, but I cannot get the Organizer to open. I have tried to use all suggestions found to date on the forums with no success. Can anyone help me get my Organizer opened?

Photoshop Elements Organizer Won't Install

I just purchased Photoshop Elements 10 and have installed it but the organizer isn't installed. I have tried installing from the DVD and also copied all install files to a directory and installed from there with the same result--no organizer!
I'm running Windows 7 on a new HP computer so that shouldn't be a problem. I registered the program.
The main reason I wanted this program was for the organizer and I'm very disappointed that it isn't there!
Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same problem. The editor works fine, but when I click on the organizer, nothing happens and I can tell from the install files that the organizer did not install properly. So far the only response I've gotten is inquiry about my OS.
If you got it resolved, would you mind sharing the procedures?

Premiere Elements 11 won't let me upload large youTube file?

I have a macbook pro, running OS X (version 10.8.5) w/ 8G. of memory and a 1TB HD. The video I'm trying to upload from elements is 1hr and 7 min and yes, I know the default is 15 min, but I noticed some vid's on youtube almost 2hrs or more. So I went to youtube and discovered you have to authorize your account in order to upload larger files. Did that successfully but elements 11 still will not let me upload my video? I keep getting the error message that I have exceeded the max upload limit for youtube. Is that a default message that can't be change? At the present, I'm saving my video to a file on my mac and will try to upload it to youtube directly w/out using premiere. My question, is there a way to bypass this default setting or will I only be able to upload a 15 min video? I tried all settings to upload it from premeire, from the youtube flash video (lowest setting) to the 1080p HD setting. Stil, it keeps telling me it's too big.

Just in case mention...this is not Adobe. Rather user to user forum. The Premiere Elements' built in YouTube feature limit has never gone over 15 minutes. So, I see no rationale in you moving to any other version to gain an extended time advantage for the Premiere Elements feature. When you go to set up the YouTube feature in Premiere Elements, you see the limits posted and the setup fails if you use an extended time account previously setup at YouTube.
The situation has been such for years. And, it is my understanding that, even at YouTube web site, the limit is 15 minutes unless you have an extended time account there.
If you want to address this matter to Adobe, you could file one of those Adobe Feature Request Bug Report Forum.

Actually I found the problem after searching through the forum list - it was the solution to reset the organizer's online-services state.
Right, that was the step 7 I referred to.
Is there a known problem with this feature? I definitely am leery of ordering prints through the organizer field again.
Yes, it's been a known problem in the Organizer since at least PSE 6 (2007), with an Adobe tech note describing the problem and the workaround:

Like most bugs in the Organizer, Adobe has explicitly chosen not to fix it.
The problem appears to occur when an upload to a service is interrupted or fails. The workaround, deleting those files, seems pretty reliable.
