Elements 12 unable to install

I have successfully downloaded a purchased version of elements 12 but when I click on the set up file and agree 'for changes to be made' nothing further happens. I have also tried installing the trial version but this does not work either. My operating system is Windows 8.1 and i have Norton Internet security. Any suggestions?

I downloaded the file, but it will not open. It has a .dmg extension, and apparently I don't have the necessary app to unpack it.Help please.

Hello. I received Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13 for Christmas. It was purchased from Amazon (Amazon inc., not a third-party vendor). I have a MAC, running OS 10.9.5, which aligns with system requirements. I have been unable to install the software at all. One time I received a message that the software was not legitimately Adobe software. Otherwise, the disc is ejected automatically. Everything indicates it is Adobe software (serial number, packaging, etc.) Any ideas? Thank you, Melissa
Correcting Title

Thanks. I downloaded Elements, and started to install, but can't get past the serial number screen.
There are several numbers on the back of the DVD box. I assumed the serial number was the long number above the bar code on the right - < removed > - but that doesn't fill the spaces and I don't get the 'NEXT' button.
The instructions say that the serial number will start with 1057 - so I tried added that to the beginning of the number above. Didn't work.
There is also a PN number on the back of the box, and a shorter number under a bar code on the left - < removed >
Can you tell me what I need to enter to install?
I haven't downloaded Premiere yet...

Unable to install Elements 12 on Windows 8.1

When I try to install Elements 12 on Windows 8.1, the install fails. It says it needs DirectPlay, but according to Microsoft, that has been depricated. I'm caught in a vicious loop trying to get Elements 12 installed on my PC. What's up with that?

After inputing the serial number, I get partway through the install process and then I see that everything is being backed out. Id it possible that I have a defective CD? Please advise a telephone for Adobe Technical support.

I found a doc Install rollback | Photoshop Elements | Windows that provides information on installation rollback. I'd suggest that you use the doc before calling up customer support. If your problem is still not addressed, share the installation log file (information available in the suggested document) when you contact customer support (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/).

Unable ti install elements 11 on Win 8

I've been unable to install Elements 11 on Windows 8 Pro. I upgraded from Win 7 Pro. It says my Product key is invalid.

The serial number you’ve sent is not an Adobe serial number. Please double check the serial number. It should be a 24 digit serial key and all numeric.

I have premiere elements 4.0 and have installed it on 2 PC's, which I have upgraded and am unable to install it onto my new PC.

Please help, I bought Premiere Elements 4.0 about 7 years ago and have upgraded my PC for a 3rd time and am unable to install it onto my new machine. Please can someone tell me how I can get it installed without having to buy a new version.

Several considerations.
Adobe allows you to use the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. If you want to install that same purchased activated serial
number on a 3rd computer, then you are going to have to remove Premiere Elements 4 from one of those other computers. There is no Deactivation option within the opened 4 program, so I suspect the regular uninstall the Control Panel way will do the job. (There may be a deactivation message in the uninstall dialogs when you are uninstalling the program.)
What computer operating system does your new computer use? I have found Premiere Elements 4 to work on Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 8.1 64 bit. But, I have not been
using it a lot lately except for troubleshooting for others here.

Unable to install Elements

I recently purchased a camera bundle and included in this was Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 (2 discs only). So far I have been unable to install this on my pc (all system requirements are met). What am I missing/doing wrong?

I am trying to reinstall Elements 10 on Win 7. I have a new hard drive. I can install Organizer but not Editor. It rolls back after trying to install Editor. I do not have the exact error message handy.
I have done an exhaustive review of the symptoms and applied the suggestions in every thread but no luck .
I downloaded a trial of Elements 13 which worked. Then I tried to install Elements 11 but without success.

Hi,
If you are unable to sign in then something on your system is blocking the access. Elements uses a different port than normal which is why you can sign in using your browser but not the application.
You can try disabling your firewall to see if that is blocking you.

Recently, an add on has been found to block the Adobe access - please see this thread.
How do I get past the required "sign in" requirement on Elements 12 EDITOR after entering my password?

How can i get elements 10 to install?

i've been having issues for weeks trying to get elements 10 to install. i got it with my intuos 4 tablet, downloaded it, and i have the serials ready to go.
however, everytime i try to install, it stops around 30% into it and says there were errors. exit code 7???
so i look it up online and do the many, many suggestions it says to offer a fix to the problem, but none of them worked. i emailed waccom about the issue, but have yet to recieve a reply yet. figured it might be better to come here and ask. and i did try the adobe support software thing. even that won't install on my computer. wondering if my computer just hates adobe products. anyways, this is what i get when trying to install:

Exit Code 6 and 7 are generic failures. Could you have a look at this document and run through the first 2 solutions and let us know if it helps.
