Elements 13 installer saying it's for 32bit OS. Error 6 during install.

Hi I have bought elements and premiere 13 bundle to replace my elements 11. It has down loaded from Adobe but won't install on my machine. It sys its for a 32 bit machine and mine is a 64 bit. Any idea what I con do about it.

Sorry you're having some trouble getting Elements 13 installed. Elements 13 is 64-bit on both Mac and Win so you shouldn't be seeing this. Perhaps you're starting the incorrect installer?
Try downloading the Elements 13 installers located at this page: www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html

SMART is a technology that monitors the drive for signs of impending failure. You can verify that SMART is indicating a problem in Disk Utility. Select the hard drive and look at the bottom of the window. It should look like this:
If the SMART status is not "Verified" then you should back up your drive and start shopping for a new one.

When I'm looking for problems like that nothing beats a good trace file. Also don't dismiss the idea of programmer stupidity (of the one that developed the app), I've ran across code where exceptions where caught and nothing done about it, just let thing run merrily along again. If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.

OS X 10.10.1 installer says the requirement for the update does not meet

Greetings.
I noticed the auto update setting of my MacBook Air had been not working for a month or so today.
So I tried to manually update OS X 10.10.1 (released Nov 17, 2014) and got this message from the installer: "OS X Update can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
But the thing is, my mac already meet the requirement, as description of the update.
My mac is on OS X 10.10 and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 Update states the system requirement as "OS X Yosemite 10.10"
How can I update my mac? What can be the source of this problem?
FYI, once I participated in Public Beta of Yosemite and clean-installed 10.10 from 10.9 with disk formatting.
Tried solution: rebooting, and repairing permission and repairing OS disk using Disk Utility.

Never knew the version number could be clicked, and now it says 10.10 (14A379b).
I googled the build number and it's Public Beta 4. Now it is clear that my mac still have old beta version AND the OS X showed a message to me when I tried to download a copy of Yosemite from the App Store:
Maybe the OS thinks itself as a full release of 10.10 for some reason. It explains why it did not auto download and install the system updates, regardless of the auto update System Preference of App Store.
Now I am going to download and re-install 10.10 rather than updating the OS.

Dowloand 64-Bit Version of iTunes but Installer Says it Isn't 64-Bit and Won't Install

I download the latest, 64-bit version of iTunes. When I try to install it, at the end of the installation process, I get a message saying that I it cannot install because I need the 64-bit version. I just DOWNLOADED the 64-bit version, for Pete's sake.
I have down this four or five times now, and am getting tired of it. What am I doing wrong? I know I am downloading from the proper Web site - it is the Apple, iTunes site.

Download a fresh copy of the installer from this direct link:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe
It is a 64-bit installer for mostly 32-bit components which is why parts go into both program files folders.

If you bought by downloading, you will have received an email containing your serial number
If you bought by download directly from Adobe, go to your Adobe account and check your purchase history
Nobody in this user to user forum will be able to give you a serial number... you need to find your disc case or check your download order

Error during install for a deskjet printer x64 software key is not for state

I have a deskjet all in one printer 2542 I get an error saying wrong key for the region or state when installing the software. I am running windows vista 32 bit, Laptop is Toshiba satelite. HP cannot tell me whats the problem is other than something is wrong with my laptop.

I saw your post about how you're seeing an error message about a 64 bit software key, when installing the printer on Windows Vista 32bit.
Here is the link to the driver download. Please try running through the installation and please save a screen shot of the error and post it back to me if possible. I would like to have a look at the error and research this some more for you.

No error occurs during Flash installation, but it still doesn't work

I have installed the latest version of Flash using the installer on the Adobe website and no errors occur during installation. However, when installation is complete, I still can't use websites that require Flash (I am prompted to go install Flash). Even the troubleshooter on the Adobe site says that I don't have Flash installed when I check it in the first step. I am running Windows 7 (64-bit) and Internet Explorer 11 (I downloaded and tried Firefox and got the same results). Please help. Thanks.

That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess thay've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

The software for communicating with ipod is not installed correctly..

Everything used to work fine on my laptop. I'm fairly sure it was after I had uninstalled Zune crap from my laptop when my iTunes started messing up and saying "the software for communicating with ipod is not installed correctly".
I've searched the whole internet front to back about this error and most things I find are from 2005'ish. I've tried changing the registry permissions, reinstalling itunes, clearing out everything that has to do with itunes, doing all the msconfig things, manually starting the ipodservice.exe.
I still cannot figure it out and I've had this error for like 3 months. Only thing that I notice that MIGHT be odd is that I'll have ipodservice.exe running (from System) and when I open iTunes another ipodservice.exe will open (from my username) and then close after a few seconds and then I plug my ipod up and bam, the error from above comes up. Anyone have any clue? Like I said everything worked fine at one point!

Another thing is that iPod Touch shows up fine...I've tried every other ipod from older 4gig Nanos to 120gb Classics and none of them work..this is really annoying!

Export PDF as JPEG fails with Adobe Save for Web AI Error

We have an Illustrator Javascript program to convert a PDF file to a JPEG. It does some adjustments along the way, but I have boiled the script down so it just opens the PDF file, then uses the export method to export it to a JPEG file. The problem is the JPEG conversion is failing. When I run with user interaction layer set to DONTDISPLAYALERTS, as I normally do, it silently fails and continues; I do not get an exception, and the export method does not have another way to return an error. When I do display alerts, I get a dialog box saying:

What's weird is if I open the same PDF file in Illustrator and select File / Export it works fine. I do get this error though if I select File / Save for Web & Devices. I'm not sure why the export method would do a Save for Web though.
The code looks basically like this:

I have not tested exporting without passing any options. You have however created a variable to an empty options object but not passed it.
did you also try…
app.activeDocument.exportFile( fileSpec, type, exportOptions );

Which I get. But clicking on that link you provided does not give you the option of choosing between 32 and 64 bit installers.
Yeah, that was certainly a 32-bit installer file being referred to in the other message, too. (The 64-bit installer file is called iTunes64Setup.exe.)
Just in case it's an issue with your normal browser not working properly with the system-detection equipment on the page (there's a javascript control that checks for operating system specifics, and is supposed to deliver the correct Mac or Windows installers), let's try a different web browser for the download. If you use Firefox instead of IE (or vice versa), do you get offered an iTunes64Setup.exe instead of an iTunesSetup.exe?
