Elements 13 upgrade

I have purchased Elements 13 and I keep getting this notice that it wants to install an update from 13 to 13.1 and camera raw but it will not install. It gets to 50% and stops. Every time I start Elements 3 this thing pops up and it is getting really annoying, If it will not install then will someone please tell how to get it to install or tell me how to stop the update notice from poping up. I didn't pay 80.00 bucks for this. Thank you

Hi,
You can often get good deals at places like Amazon. The pricing has always been about the same - often the full version can be found cheaper than the upgrade version. They are really both the same once installed.
If you have a Windows 7 or 8 64-bit system, then Photoshop Elements 13 is the first version to run in 64-bit mode. If you have more than 4Gb or RAM then elements can now use it.

I am trying to download my paid for Elements 13 upgrade. When I click on the "download" button, I receive this message: 413  Header Length too Large.  Help?

You can download using direct download link , which I had provided.
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10
During installation , when prompted enter serial number and proceed with the installation .
If you had purchased upgrade serial number.
First enter Photoshop Elements 13 serial number .
Then it will ask for previous qualifying version serial number.
From the drop down list , select Photoshop Elements 12 and then enter Photoshop Elements 12 serial number

  • Can't download Photoshop Elements 10 upgrade

I have a brand new Windows 7 computer with 4GB RAM. Firefox is my browser. I purhcased the downloadable upgrade for Photoshop Elements 10 on the Adobe web site. When I clicked on the Akami Download Manager to download the product, I saw a flashing box in my browser that my computer was trying to connect to the Akamai downoload manager. I waited 5 or so minutes but the connection was never made and I could not donwload my product. I exited my browser and then restarted it but I had the same problem. I still couldn't download the Photoshop Elements 10 upgrade.
Could you please tell me what is causing this problem and how I can download Photoshop Elements 10.
    Thanks.
    Richard

You can download PSE 10 from the below link but make sure to read the "Very Important Instructions", mentioned on the website, properly before downloading it.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Upgrade Edition

Just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10/Premiere Elements 10 upgrade edition from Amazon.  Installed both and no where did it ask to confirm I had the older versions.   I previously have had Adobe Photoshop Elements 9,8,7,6 and Adobe Photoshop Preimiere Elements 4.
When I logged into my account did it automatically validate I owned an older version?  I just want to make sure it registered correctly.

Yes it will be automatic. If you click on My Adobe at the top of this forum you should be able to see all of your registered products and serial numbers.

  • Installing Premiere Elements 12 Upgrade

When I install the Premiere Elements 12 upgrade, it installs as a stand-alone. It doesn't recognize that I have Premiere Elements 10 already on my system.  It never asks for the Elements 10 serial number. What do I do to make this work?

You may need to uninstall and reinstall again. On Windows uninstall via the control panel or use the installer on Mac.
If you installed from a disk or a purchased download, I suggest using a different source. Click the link below to download the free trial, and then make it permanent with your product serial number.
As far as I know you don’t need the previous product serial number for Elements as you do with Lightroom and the other Adobe professional products.

    Hi Grif80128,

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Upgrade Version

I hope this isn't a silly question, but I've been unable to find an answer elsewhere.
I've never owned any Photoshop products at all before, and my wife bought me PS Elements 10 Upgrade version yesterday.
Our belief was that PSE10 UV was just the most recent version of Elements, but when the package arrived it says on it 'to install this upgrade successfully you will need a licenced copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements' which of course, we don't have.
Is it just me being daft or is that worded slightly ambiguously?
I just don't know whether the box contains PS E 10 that' can work as a new standalone new product or as an upgrade on previous versions' or whether it can only be used as an upgrade to a previous version of Elements..?
I don't want to open the packaging in case I end up having to send it back and replace with different version...
Can any kind soul enlighten me please?

An upgrade version of a product is the full product, but it's license requires a previous version. The idea is that you already own a previous version, so you can buy an "upgrade" version at a reduced cost. When you install, the full product is installed, it does not piggy-back on a previous installation. However, when you license the product, by entering your serial number, an upgrade verification will take place. It will automatically check your computer for a qualifying product already installed. If that cannot be found, it will ask you to enter the serial number from your previous version.
As you do not have a previous version, you will not be able to pass the upgrade verification, which means you will not be able to license your copy of Photoshop Elements for use on this computer. You will have access to a 30-day free trial, but after that your product would cease to operate.
You should return this product for a full retail copy rather than an upgrade version.

  • Mac OSX Photoshop Elements 11 upgrade will not install

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 11 (upgrade)  after purchase, and then tried to install.
I get the Agree to License page OK,
Enter Serial No - I get a green check mark,
I enter Adobe ID and Password, and it authenticates,
then the Option Page.  Product "Photoshop Elements ..." is shown with an icon and a grayed out check mark in the left column.
"Adobe Photoshop Elements ..." is in the column to the right, but the "All Components" is grayed out and cannot be clicked.
I have tried to click on the "Photoshop Elements ..." but nothing happens
The Install button is NOT grayed out
If I click the Install button, nothing happens - I mean nothing - no error indication,,,, nothing - it clicks in but nothing happens.
Is there a logfile somewhere which can tell me why it is not installing?
BTW, it is an upgrade but it never asks me for a previous full version serial number. Perhaps that is only done at activation?
    Thanks.

Thanks Jeff, but it only asks for the current serial number - Which I know is not right.
I did get it to install, however, by manually going in and deleteing all references to Adobe from my system.  The Installer is not handling an exception properly and is failing.  Sorry, that's a bug.  The offending file apparently was in /library/application support/Adobe.   For my purposes, I only have to re-install one additional product to insure that everything still works.  The fact that it installed an update without asking for a previous serial number is also a bug - perhaps the same bug not completely cleaned up.   My opinion is that they either have to fix the installer or offer a cleaner - maybe there is a cleaner but I did not know about it.  I am marking this as complete but the developers clearly have some work here.  Perhaps it is not possible to handle every exception - I can accept that also.

  • I just installed Photoshop Elements 12 upgrade [from Elements 9]. Can I uninstall Elements 9?

I just installed Photoshop Elements 12 upgrade [from Elements 9]. Can I uninstall Elements 9 without any negative effects?

yes, you can deactivate (help>deactivate) and uninstall.
you do/did not even need to have pse 9 installed before installing your ps12 upgrade.  if it's not installed you will be prompted for the pse 9 serial number.

  • I have elements 11 on my mac and want to upgrade to elements 13 but it seems that the elements 13 upgrade is only for windows.  Is there a mac edition to this upgrade?

I have elements 11 on my mac and want to upgrade to elements 13 but it seems that the elements 13 upgrade is only for windows.  Is there a mac edition to this upgrade?

Yes, certainly, but if you're in the US I would just download the trial and use that for now, since there will be plenty of deals on the full version come the start of the holiday shopping season, especially at places like amazon and big box stores. Usually for much less than adobe's upgrade price.
