Elements 3 + RAW 3.6 - unable to view NEF

Im unable to view my REW (NEF) file from my Nikon D50 + D100 after installing a copy of elements 3 and downloading & installing the RAW 3.6 plug-in as per the instructions.
Can anyone help me?

Then you have not installed Camera Raw correctly. If you had, it would be listed in the About Plug-ins. Check your installation, there are specific instructions on the download page. Incidentally, you might as well get Camera Raw 3.7 and it is the most recent and last version that will be compatible with your Photoshop Elements.
Another thing to be aware of is that Nikon installs a plug-in that is supposed to work with Photoshop (I'm not sure about Photoshop Elements, I'm not a Nikon user). But that plug-in interferes with Camera Raw and will not allow it to run. Sorry I cannot be more specific. That's just information I have gathered from following the discussions.

Photoshop Elements 8 - unable to view RAW files

I have been using Adobe Elements 8 since it came on to the market. I use Canon Cameras and my latest one being a 1Dmkiv.
When I got the Canon 1D I down loaded the appropriate RAW file I think it was 5.6 and followed the instructions and changed the Camera Raw.8bi file and it worked perfect and I was able to view and edit Raw files.
Last week my computer failed and I have had a new hard drive and hence have had to upload all my software. I installed Elements 8 back onto the computer and reinstalled the photograph catalogues I had backed up within Elements 8 before the computer crash.
When the photographs in the catalogues were viewed only JPEG files were visible, the raw files are shown as a a grey negative with a zig zag across them. I thought that I would have to upload again the lates RAW update, which I did and went through all the instructions as given by Adobe. I changed the Raw.8bi file within Elements 8 and I still am unable to view any Raw files within Elements 8. I desperately need access to these files. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks so much for your reply. My problem appeared to be that most of the thumb
nails had lost their links and I had to individually update the thumbnails from within the program. It wasn't a problem
with the RAW file not being updated.

Which Canon camera model? Elements 7 is probably just too old to use the required Camera Raw plugin for your camera.

Camera Raw (the plugin used to read Raw files) is constantly updated to support new cameras as they come on to the market.

Unable to View .mod files in Photoshop Elements 11, can see they are there but no picture, I import them into Premiere and all OK ?

I have hundreds of .mod files which are supported but I am unable to view them on my Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I cant see the picture icons as pictures or see the vision when i select them? I am running the latest Windows 8.1 PC with heaps of Ram and memory. If I import the files into Premiere they play fine?

I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.

Unable to view camera RAW files on Windows 7 and CS4 - Have tried updates

All working OK until 8 days ago, then bridge just disappeared completely. Looked like it had opened but would disappear when I clicked on the icon. Re-installed, Bride now visable but unable to view .CR2 files in camrea RAW or in Photoshop, comes up as "unable to open". Have tried to install the 5.7 camera raw update, extract files, click on application, then photoshop opens and advises "invalid file type". Not sure what to do now and have a large number of weddin files slowly building up .... PLEASE HELP!!

When something works one day, but not the next, then something has changed. The task is to find out what that is.
Have you installed new hardware?
Have you installed new software?
Have you had any major updates installed?
Those are but a few things to ponder.
You might want to create a new System Restore Point (on a PC) for today, and then boot to Safe Mode, choosing System Restore, and choose a point, from at least 8 days before. Reboot, when prompted, and test. At the least, you have only lost a few minutes, as you can Restore to today's System Restore Point. The Mac has something called Time Machine, and I would think that it could do similar, but just do not know, as I am a PC-only guy.

Unable to view Raw Photos in Bridge CS4

I'm using CS4 and Canon 50D with Windows 7 64Bit. I cannot view the Raw photos in the Bridge viewer. They open in Photoshop OK but just not able to view in Bridge.

Thanks for your suggestions - I made sure I had only one camera raw file and that the latest plu-in were installed. After reading the support sites I finally was able to get it working very simply - going to View and then Show Hidden Files; that worked!

Unable to view purchased history in Mac App Store

I am unable to view my purchased history in the mac app store.
I just purchased a new macbook air and went to the app store in the hopes of downloading the apps I purchased onto this new this new device. I am unable to view them on this device although I have been able to view them on my macbook pro.
Is there a way to restore the list of apps onto this new device?
I have gone to the individual apps and re-bought them. Once I try to buy I get a message informing me that I have already purchased this app in the past and it starts to download. But it still does not appear in the purchased list once the download is complete.
Moreover, I have purchased adobe elements 9 and I am unable to re-buy it since adobe has released elements 10.
Please help.

Launch iTunes on the MBAir.
From the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer
Now back to the menu bar again click Store > Sign Out
Now follow the instructions here > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Make sure you are using the same Apple ID and password that you used on the MBPro.

Photoshop Elements 6 Raw Plug IN

I import all my photos into IPhoto 09 and edit in Elements 6. I have started taking photo's in raw but am unable to open the raw photo in elements from IPhoto 09. I had seen a previous fix for this (raw plug in) but cannot find anymore. Can someone help me?

Adobe Camera Raw 5.7 is the latest for Photoshop CS4 Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
The problem is that your new camera is supported by ACR 8.7 and only Photoshop CS6 and up supports this version.
So if you do not want to buy CS6 or subscribe to the $10/month Photography Program, you have to convert the CR2 files to DNG to work on them. Your original CR2s are untouched in the process, you just can't directly edit them in CS4, only the DNGs.
Maybe Canon offers editing software for their CR2s, but CS4 is not going to be updated and there is no way around that.
It's not what you want to hear, but that's the situation so far.
Maybe Elements or Lightroom has updated raw support for your camera, so I encourage you to visit those forums and ask.

I have photoshop elements 13 and am unable to view edited jpeg photos on a Panasonic TX-42DT50B TV; however unedited photos are OK. These photos also display correctly elsewhere. Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

On import, iPhoto copies photos into its library, which is proprietary to itself and should never be poked and prodded from outside iphoto or you run a strong risk of corrupting the library and losing your photos. So you eventually need to choose between iphoto and organizer.
If you want to use iphoto, then you have two choices:
1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto to PSE, edit them, then save without changing the name or format (you may need to adjust the pse preferences>saving files>on first save), and iphoto will remember your last edits and the orginal. However, you must to lose the edited version to use the original again, and this method doesn't work well with raw files.
2. Export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, user File>Open in the editor, edit the photos, make all the changes to name and format that you like, save the photos and import them back to iphoto as new files.
Or if you decide you prefer organizer, set the this iphoto preference to No Application and you can call up the photo downloader from within organizer, or just drag the photo with the images in it from the card to wherever you want to keept them:
and of course you don't need to user either iphoto or organizer unless you want.

Unable to view geometry applets

Greetings to all, I have a Windows 7 64--bit OS.I am unable to view the geometry applets at aleph0.clarku.edu/djoyce/java/elements/using/applet.html. I have communicated with my security software vendor and the personnel the problem was not with their software.The response I get after I click on activate Java platform se 7 U is that, security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running. Why is that ? How can I correct this ? Thank you Ldxrunner

Stack - Unable to view or unstack PSE 13

Hello,
In Photoshop Elements Organizer 13, I am able to stack photos but, I m unable to unstuck or view the photos stacked.
On the top photo (stack) when selected the option in the menu 'stack' is grayed out. Also I am unable to view each photo in the stack.. normally in 12 the photos would have a button to slide to the right.
Does anyone know if i am doing something wrong or if this is a bug in PSE Organizer 13?

Unable To View Thumbnail NEF Image

I just purchased a new laptop using Windows 7. Unable to view thumbnail image in Pictures once folder is open. Installed CS2, changed nearly all defaults to open images from Windows to CS2. Bridge works fine, Suggestions please.

What camera(s) produced the NEF images?
You need the appropriate Adobe Camera Raw plug in to view them.

I don't think you can view raw images in the Picture viewer, you need Bridge.
And if the camera is newer than CS2 you will need the DNG converter.
