Elements 4 Download (Yes, it's very old :))

Hi, all. Hoping someone has a suggestion for me. I purchased Elements 4 on 11/28/2005 (Order #
0110923543), and had been using it successfully across several versions of Windows, up until this weekend when my Windows 7 installation had to be rebuilt. In the process I lost the original downloaded setup file for Elements 4. The Order History page still lists my order, and contains a download link. However, that link addresses a page titled "Your Downloads" that simply states "You have no downloads."
I chatted with customer support this afternoon and they told me they could not provide a link or any other consideration in respect of the $90 I previously paid for the product. The stated reason was that the product is out of support. This is understandable, but I am not really asking for support.
Is there any solution other than either spending $70 for the current version or migrating to GIMP? PSE4 worked fine for all the light web graphics stuff that I do, and I don't really feel inclined to spend additional funds to replace it.
Appreciate any suggestions.

None that I know of.
$70 for PSE12 after 8 years of using PSE4 still seems like a pretty good deal.
Whichever route you take, I suggest you keep your own backup(s) (DVDs, Dropbox, flash drive etc) of the installation files so you don't have to rely on links to remote servers which could disappear at any time.

    Hi,
It could be a change in the email display settings, as the actual emails, email settings etc. are all stored at the email provider's end and Firefox only displays it. You may have to change the email settings or contact the email provider support.

I have a very old Ipod probably 12 years old. It could be the first or second generation. I have music on it that I would like to put on my new one. I have not updated this Ipod since I purchased several computers ago. How do I put the music from this Ipod into my library. It is music from CDs I own. I really don't want to have to take all that time to redo that again. Can anyone tell me how to do this. I would like to update my library with this music and update this old Ipod with new music for use in my car. It works great and does what I need it to do so I can't see tying up my new Ipod or Iphone when I want to use it in my car. I appreciate any suggestions you can give me. Thanks

Restore them to the new computer using the bakcup of the old one. If you don't have a backup of the old computer, you can re-download music purchased from the iTunes store. If they were imported from CD's, etc. You will either have to re-rip them or purchase third party software to extract them from the phone. The iPhone is not a backup or data transfer device.

Make sure you read the system requirements. Also install Rosetta if you want Power PC applications to run.
    Snow Leopard Purchase
Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn’t compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion.

  • ITunes downloading very old podcasts

I have my preferences set to download only the latest podcast. iTunes is downloading podcasts that are months old. This is a real pain!!!

This happens when the podcaster changes the file location of an old podcast. iTunes sees this as a "new" podcast and obediently downloads it for your listening enjoyment!
Podcasters often relocate old podcasts to a slower (& cheaper) file server.

Yes, it will do no harm, but it is meant for trouble shooting and you should not have to use it all the time.

  • My iPod touch is downloading and updating apps very slow more than an hour.

My iPod touch 4th gen 32gb verson 4.3.1 is downloading and updating apps very slow more than an hour. I just got it a day ago and I backed up all my apps music and pictures and videos from iTunes. Few months ago I had an iPod touch but I lost it and it was working fine. Luckily before I lost it i backed up everything to iTunes so now everything that was in my old iPod is now in my new iPod. Anyways, When I first bought it I straight away backed up everything and saw that i had many updates on my apps. I started updating it all at once but even the first one was not loading at all and mty ipod was hanging many times during the updates so i cancelled all the updates. i even tried it on my computer and it was taking forever but my laptop does updating and downloading apps slower than my ipod so that doesnt matter. Even when I download an app on my iPod now its take more that an hour. So i was wondering, is my iPod slow cause I backed up too many things when i just got it . I have about 120 apps 150 plus photos and 70 videos and I backed it up all in one night on the day i got my ipod. So now I'm restoring my iPod and updating it to IOS 5 and see what happens. Hopefully it will be faster then but I still need to know what is main problem of m iPod hanging and slow updating/downloading. Need a reply ASAP. Thanks

Still you can switch it off while syncing.
You can also do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

I discovered how to enter the track titles onto my newer MacBook Pro, and was so pleased!  But when I tried to do the same with the other laptop, it failed.
What I did, basically, was what the Apple Help suggested--choose iTunes General Preferences, etc.etc.  And yes, I did upgrade the old laptop to the newest iTunes version.
Am I just wasting my time here? Is there some reason why an older Mac Pro will not do what the newer one will, with regard to iTunes?
My older laptop is a 2.6 GHz Core Duo; it has 36 GB of "memory available."  The newer one  a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. It has 284 GB of memory available.
Both are using the same version of Snow Leopard--10.6.8.

  • Adobe premier elements 11 downloaded but will not install

adobe premier elements 11 downloaded but will not install?

    Hunt
What you just wrote may have revealed the Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integration consideration. If you have Premiere Elements 11, you need Photoshop Elements 11 for the integration between the programs to produce the DVD version of the Photoshop Elements Slideshow.
All along I was picturing Meyerswalter already in Premiere Elements 11/Publish+Share/Disc/DVD and being told to install Premiere Elements to get the burn to disc accomplished.
But, if Meyerswalter is using Premiere Elements 11 and a non integrated version of Photoshop Elements for this matter, that could very well fit.
So, Meyeswalter, so that we can dispel those thoughts
    a. What versions of Photoshop Elements are you using with Premiere Elements 11? And, are you in the Photoshop Elements Slideslide Show Editor using the Output of Burn to Disc DVD or Edit with Premiere Elements Editor and getting the load software message somewhere along the line?
    b. To prove this point, if you have not already, what happens if you take Photoshop Elements out of the equation. Import some media into Premiere Elements 11 and try to burn to disc from there Publish+Share/Disc/DVD?
If that is the core of the issue, I will post a list of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integrated combos as a guideline for you.
If this is the core of the issue, you could always keep the non Photoshop Elements 11 version that you have, output the slideshow to a wmv file sized for DVD and then import that into Premiere Elements 11 via its Add Media. More on that later if necessary since right now I am speculating on an explanation for what you are encountering.
    Thanks.

  • Premiere elements 12 download

Have downloaded PRE 12 zip 7. when I click link and run for PRE 12 64 exe, I get the following warning message:
<The file archive part of Adobe Premiere Elements 12 is missing.
You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Premiere Elements 12.
    Please download all parts.>
    This happened last time.
    What's the problem?

    Romano,
    Thanks for reply.
    Have installed ok.
But your reply is of interest.
    Yes, downloaded from Adobe.
    Win 64 bit x64.
    8.1 64
Yes, understand 2 file requirement. Both in same folder, I understand.
In the Akamai download page, they are in this order:
    http://esd.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/PRE/12/win64/PremiereElements_12_LS26_win64.7z
    http://esd.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/PRE/12/win64/PremiereElements_12_LS26_win64.exe
With request to download in order given.
You advise the reverse order for download.
    To further explain my posting:
Using Akamai page, with file links in order given above:
I clicked 7z link and opted for "open", rather than "save".
It downloaded in 40 minutes; about 1.17 Gb.
A security scan ran. Adobe reader opened to say it couldn't open file. I closed reader.
Then, I clicked exe link and opted for "run", rather than "save".
exe wasn't looking like running, and got the warning message:
Understand that downloads can be found in download folder, and extraction default is to desktop.
Even if exe wasn't acting, expected the 7z file in download folder, or extracted folder on desktop (prior experience).
But there was no sign of a large file, or folder (~ 1.17 Gb) anywhere on computer.
    Went to Adobe chat.
Could give info on links and file types associated, but, obviously, couldn't identify on computer target location, or give path, or destination of 2 required files.
exe wasn't downloading, and 7z, though went through download, using about a gig of data, was nowhere to be seen.
Chat techs came and went, asking for 2 files in a destination folder, file names, and path.
Obviously, in circumstances, none of this existed.
Techs seemed busy, and think, maybe, the situation didn't conform to the questions they asked on it, so went to community, and posted.
    You replied.
At that point was downloading again, on Akamai page, with the above link order, but using "save" for both 7z and exe.
In turn, each completed, a security check ran briefly, Adobe reader didn't open, and both files were found in download folder.
On Akamai page, option, then, given to "run" exe, and was taken.
Extraction to desktop followed, and installation, serial number entered, was to C:Program files.
With tech chat on Premiere elements, and previously, Photoshop elements, no one mentioned to turn off antivirus, or firewall.
I do acknowledge that there are instances where this is recommended. I'm new to 8.1 and still sussing procedures.
Here, I didn't disable antivirus and firewall.
Download-extract-install seemed to be, and seems, ok. Still to thoroughly check program through though.
The disappearance of the first 7z download is still puzzling.

Where are you downloading Premiere Elements 12 from...Adobe or some place else?
And, what is your computer operating system, Windows 32 bit or 64 bit or Mac 64 bit Processor?
Let us start assuming that your computer operating system is Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Then you need 2 files for the installation
First, File, PremiereElements_12_LS25_win64.exe (about 1.5 MB)
    and then
Second File, PremiereElements_12_LS26.win64.7z (about 1.2 GB)
And, you should be doing these downloads with antivirus and firewalls disabled.
Do you click on the lst file first and then on the 2nd one?
Do you have a purchased serial number or are you trying to obtain the Premiere Elements 12 Windows tryout
    at this time?

  • HT2589 I have a very old Itunes library list; ho?w do I transfer it onto my new IPAD mini

I have a very old Itunes playlist from my CDs; how do I transfer into my new Ipad mini and new Itunes account?

That's correct. Media sync is one way. The iPad is not a backup or data transfer device.
Purchased media can be re-downloaded from the iTunes store using the same ID originally used to purchase it.
Other media had to come from iTunes on your computer to begin with.

    Hello, do you mean Download?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.

  • Very old printer installation in Windows8

I have a very old (circa 1997?) printer which came with a 3.5" floppy disk for installation.  Relatively new computer Windows8, 64 bit, does not have a floppy drive.  Is it still possible to get this printer to work?  I tried the manual installation instructions for Windows8 found on HP website, but cannot get any printers to show up in the "list" I am supposed to select from.  So wonder if there is another way?

    Hi, Brian.
It's a bit hard to find the real question in your long post.
I suggest you try the advice in "Mac OS X 10.4: About the Reset Printing System feature." That should put you back to "sqaure one" re: printers on the affected Mac(s).
Note that while Mac OS X includes quite a few printer drivers for third-party printers, this may not obviate the need to download specific or updated printer drivers from the printer manufacturers' Web sites. Lists of printer drivers included with Mac OS X 10.4 are as follows:
    • For your PowerPC-based Macs, see "Mac OS X 10.4: Included printer drivers and PostScript PPD files."
    • For your Intel-based Macs, see "Mac OS X 10.4.4: Included printer drivers and PostScript PPD files for Intel-based Macs".
    Good luck!

  • Email - New downloaded files do not replace old ones. Thoughts?

Email - New Downloads do not replace the old versions even though it says it will.
Not a "feature" I can live with. If I run an old version of an ad it costs me money.
Making each have a new name creates issues with automatic updates in inDesign --

    This issue still exists.
It asks if I want to repalce the old file with a new one -- I say yes -- and presto chango -- old file stays and new files disappears!!!
This is NOT acceptable and will cost me money if ads do not update.
I hate that I have to change my working because it does not do what it says it does.

My iTunes downloads were made using my old gmail address.  I had to quit using this address  as it got hacked.  How do I get my iTunes downloads into my new iTunes account that was created with a new gmail address?  In my old iTunes account (with the old gmail address,  I can't 'update' my email address or even 'add an alternate address' as I had already created this gmail account and inputting the new address into iTunes gives me the 'pop-up' that 'this account is already in use.'   Advice please!

Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.
