Elements 6.0 apdproxy.exe commapi.dll missing

On system startup the error message reports that apdproxy.exe cannot start because commapi.dll is missing. The exe is related to the starter album in PS Elements 6.0.
Lots of people are offering a free download of commapi.dll allong with some registry scanning/cleanup product which I do not want to mess with.
I found about 3 registry entries involving apdproxy.exe. It would be fine with me to disable the program but I do not want to cause any system problems.
Please point me to the correct procedure for disabling apdproxy.exe.
TIA

  • Ubd.exe generationalstorage.dll missing - How to fix?

I just installed the latest iTunes and iCloud control panel on my son's Windows 7 laptop. Now we get an error message on startup relating to ubd.exe, stating that the GenerationalStorage.dll file is missing. There is very little information on the net about this, but it seems to relate to iCloud. The only "solution" I've found is a blog that advises that I turn off automatic Windows updates, though I may have also run across one in a previous search that suggested deleting and reinstalling all Apple software. Has anyone run into this problem and, if so, found a solution?

It sounds like your computer might be infected with a Virus ([http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic446165.html http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic446165.html] )
    I suggest the following resources:
[[Is my Firefox problem a result of malware |Is my Firefox problem a Result of Malware]] is a Mozilla Support article with some good tips on avoiding and fighting malware.
To double check your system is clean, do the following (Not official Mozilla advice, just good practice from personal experience)
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]
Download and Run TDSSKiller [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363]
Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials] (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)
Double check for all Windows Updates.
If you are still having problems with Malware after that, I would recommend either [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/ http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/], or having your computer cleaned by a professional.

  • Installing FireFox5 causes winlogin.exe mozsqlite3.dll missing popup

After I installed FireFox 5 I am getting a winlogin.exe popup on reboot with the message "An application has failed to start because mozsqlite3.dll was not found".
Previously I used FF3 and all was well. I know mozsqlite3.dll was introduced in FF4.
Uninstalling FF5 and rebooting results in no popup. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF5 including deleting the Mozilla program files directory. Still the same issue.
    For now I uninstalled FF5.

Sorry I do not know anything about the details of this issue. mozsqlite3.dll may store preferences or something. I have no idea why winlogin.exe is involved but surmise it may relate to Firefox being the default browser.
I have checked my machine and fx 3.6 does not use this .dll fx4 to 7 do use it.
Firefox 5 itself could be considered a dot release of Firefox 4. I am using 6.0a2 right now, they have changed to a rapid release cycle with four concurrent channels.
If the result is only an error message on login it should not prevent Firefox being used, and hopefully has only a minor impact on other use of the computer, but it should not happen. I have XP and do not recall this problem occurring.
Maybe someone else can throw light on this, or sees the same or a similar problem.

  • After iTunes update, iTunes.exe System Error - msvcr80.dll missing  & icudt49.dll missing.

After iTunes update, iTunes.exe System Error - msvcr80.dll missing. Followed the support suggestion & uninstalled then re-installed iTunes 5 times & still no good so followed Apples advice & uninstalled again then went into programme files & manually deleted the files re-installed again & now getting iTunes.exe System Error - icudt49.dll missing. I give up, anyone out there help ?

I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet:http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376   it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time! The main purpose of this is to remove any trace of the old version of iTunes from your computer...
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
    Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck!

How do I correct Install failed "APS DAEMON.EXE error. MSVCR80.dll missing" and "iTunes not installed correctly. Error 7

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Elements 12 organizer has stopped working and premiere elements 12 get msvcr80.dll missing errors

elements 12 organizer has stopped working and premiere elements 12 gets msvcr80.dll missing errors

First deactivate the product(s) and then uninstall it from the machine using the procedure specifically for your OS.  If in Windows and I suspect it is then uninstall from the Control Panel.
To deactivate the product you need to go Editor and then:
    Help >> Deactivate
Please also make sure that you have your original CDs and /or DVDs handy including the necessary serial number as you will need them to install the product(s) again.
After uninstalling the products, you need to restart the machine before you start to install again.
You have created the backups of your sentimental photos, right?  You need to just in case the machine causes more problems down the line.

Re: "MSVCR80.dll Missing" Thanks to mspanner and others for you help. Followed your advice, which worked.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
See also HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP or HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

  • Error while startup: msvcrt.dll missing

    Hi,
on some boxes (maybe windows 2000 ) we get a error while startup: msvcrt71.dll missing ...
    what´s the problem ?

    Andre,
since this is difficult to answer without a detailed description of the use
case, could you please post information about the how and what you are
trying to start, i.e. the command line, the operating system and what
version of JRockit you are using and have installed.
The file msvcr71.dll is needed by a few launchers and libraries inside the
JRockit JDK but those cases should be covered if launching using e.g.
java.exe. The only case that comes to mind is if you are trying to load the
jvm.dll directly, if that is the case you should copy
    <jrockit-jdk>/jre/bin/msvcr71.dll to
<jrockit-jdk>/jre/bin/jrockit/msvcr71.dll to see if it helps.
    Best Regards
    /Robert

  • Vulcancontrol.dll missing? Please help me out!

    Hello,
Since a week i have updated my Adobe Cloud programs, such as Photoshop and After Effects. Eversince i get an error called: CEPServiceManager.exe error: Vulcancontrol.dll missing.
I have tried re-installing my compleet Adobe Cloud (with all the programs included), but still... the same error!
I have no idea on how to fix this. Can someone help me out? I could not find anything about this online.
    Thanks.

    Hi
I have been having this problem.
I have talked with Adobe and tried all sorts to solve it. They told me it is Microsoft and to contact them. I also got nowhere with Microsoft.
I tried the solutions on the link Adobe sent me. No joy!!
This is what I found and did.
I found no workable answers so.
I reinstalled a backed up version of my operating system that worked and was before the up dates to CC 2014.May this year.
All worked fine again including Extension manager.
I then removed my CC programs and checked after each removal.
As soon as Illustrator CC was removed the problem was there again.
I installed Illustrator CC 2014 still the same problem.
I did it all again, as using a windows restore point resulted in a mess. I was now back with my May CC installation.
I then deinstalled and reinstalled from CC to CC2014 all except Illustrator.
I have left Illustrator CC installed. Made a system back up.
    Installed Illustrator CC 2014
    All works well now.
The problem seems to be connected to Illustrator!
I have now brought all my software up to date again, but left Illustrator CC alone and made a system back up. All works well, but it had costed a few days work.
Hope this helps with this very frustrating problem that nobody seems to own!

  • Help! AfterFX won't start because .dll missing

As the title says, out of the blue after fx stopped working. I tried installing it and re installing it, but it won't work.
What can I do? Is there a .dll missing from my OS? By the way I use, windows 7 64bit.
Thank you very much in advanced!
    K.

    Thanx for helping.
    I have a windows 7 64-bit OS. With intel core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 Ghz and 16 GB (ram)
I have an adobe cs6 master collection. Since I can't access AE, I can't say what version it is, but the file number is: 6.0.335.0
It has always worked. I never had a problem before. I work often with Photoshop, and less with after fx, and premiere, still those 3 are the ones I use the most, from the entire suite. A few days ago out of the blue, AE stopped working. I had it installed 3 weeks before and by then it did worked. Since I newly bought a bigger hard drive, I had to format/ re install everything. After that, the only program from the cs I can really say it worked was photoshop.
Now when I open AE all I get is the following message:
    AfterFX.exe - System Error
The program can't start because .DLL is missing from your computer.
Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I tried formatting the pc and reinstalling windows 7 with all updates, and with out any. With and without internet connection. And so far nothing. The only thing completely different now, is that I have a bigger non ssd hard drive.
