Elements 6.0 inserting antique rectangle frame

I have a photo that I wanted to send off to have developed but I would like it to have the antique rectangle 2 frame around it. I can select that frame when I choose print multiple but can't save the file. Is there a way to easily re-create this frame with the tools in Adobe Elements 6.0 or do I have to print it, scan it and then send off somewhere to be printed?

You need to open the Editor, and then open the Artwork and Effects pallet. Find the Frames and you can put the antique on your photo. I don't have PSE 6 handy to tell you the exact steps... First, create a new document the size you want your print. Then choose the frame from the Artwork and Effects pallet. Size the frame to the size of your document. Then, double click in the middle of the frame and select your photo. Then do a File->Save As to save the file as a jpeg.

I am afraid PSE11 has just one theme, ie. Basic.
However you can go to Expert mode, and then create a new image of the size you want, and then insert frames from the Graphics panel. You can insert as many frames as you want.
But Photo Collage will offer you just one theme.

How many elements can I insert into a form?

When creating my form I received a notice that I had reached the maximum number of elements for my form! I was near the end stages of my design, Ouch!
What can I do? Is it possible to cut and past sections of my form to create a new form(s) and link it all together?

I am limited to the amount of check box elements I can insert into a form by Adobe Forms Central.
I would like to insert another 200-250 more check box elements to complete my form.
Will upgrading to the next package (Unlimited Forms) help me in completing this task or should I look for another solution?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone resize images to fit InDesign Rectangle Frame tool?

My question is based on some booklets that we have created in the past. We have some very large images all 300 ppi, but when shrunk down they tend to have an effective ppi of 500 or greater. Part of me feels that when the effective dpi is large, that I should go back into photoshop and resize those images, hopefully saving the size of the PDF file after exporting. So, my questions are one, does anyone even resize images anymore to fit the rectangle frame to keep ppi around 300 or two, do they not do this anymore and let InDesign handle this process when exporting to PDF?

Better quality is to resize in Photoshop and sharpen there, because InDesign has no choice of the method of sharpening. But to be honest, in the majority o cases I do resampling in InDesign when exporting to PDF.

Rectangle frames are missing the frame inside

Hello everyone
I was making a design comp for a website and the Rectangle Frame Tool suddenly stopped displaying the X-shaped frame inside the bounding boxes as shown in the capture below:
I first thought the disappearance of the inside frame may be due to the undefined solid colour, but then setting the solid car would not bring back the frame.
Please someone help me restore the frame.

Indesign CC crashes when I select the rectangle frame tool?? Its a custom page, tabloid with guides set.

My indesign crashes when I select the rectangle frame tool. Does it matter if its a custom doc set as a tabloid and guide lines? I have a project due and all I'm trying to do is add a picture I took.

Aligning borders on rectangle frames

Hi,
Did a quick search but did not come up with the answer. I use adobe indesign occasionally so this is probably a fairly stupid question. I am trying to align some rectangle frames to some guides. (Assume I am using "Align Stroke to Center".)
If I have a stroke of zero on the frames and then do my aligning to the guides, everything is fine. The problem occurs when I change the stroke to something else (ie 6) BEFORE aligning. The snap settings will no longer use the edge of the rectangle frame but instead use the outside of the stroke to align to. This results in boxes that are now out by half a stroke width. Am I missing something here? - Is there a way to change the snap settings? Is it common practice to wait until the very end to apply strokes?

Thanks for the reply but that will not work. If you are simply placing a smaller box in a larger then it will but not if you are placing a box next to another by aligning to a guide. Now the stroke width will essentially be twice what you wanted where the two boxes are aligned.
Any other ideas?

Insert Edit adds Frames of Black -- HELP!

We have to fix some simple video problems before our show is broadcasted on Tuesday. We are doing an Insert Edit from our Sequence Line onto our master tape.
The clips that we insert lay down perfectly at the In Point marker BUT, at the Out Point the Insert Edit adds 2 frames of black.
These black frames do not exist on the Sequence line, so we know that it only happens when we Insert Edit the clip onto the tape. The end result? Our master tape becomes further damaged.
I have done a search here, but have not found an answer. What stupid silly button am I not pressing?

First, make a backup copy of your master tape! Even if it's a dub to DVD, make it. Heck, make two!
The likely culprit is a simple mismatch between your timecode standards as Jim asked, drop and non-drop, but that should be easily discerned by your techs if you're using high end gear. The mismatch in code types often manifests as a frame or two.
Figuring out where the black is coming from is all about deciding if the insert is two frames longer than your sequence or your deck is messing it up.

Blue X in Rectangle Frame

Question: When I draw a shape using the Rectangle Frame Tool it shows the blue X across the frame in the pages bar to the left but not in the document. I would like for it to show in the document so I would be reminded that there is a Rectangle Frame there. Is there a way to turn this on?

CS4 auto page insert: master page frame or not

In CS4 the preferences for auto page insert allow to turn off 'limit to master pages'.
However, don't see much difference wether it is on or off. The Help file states that if you do NOT use master text frames, a new textframe should be inserted, one column between the margins.
Can not get this to work when limit to master pages is off. What am I misreading...?
(It is funny sometimes: I have 'delete empty pages' checked (it is on). Now make a document 3 pages long. OK, now draw a empty text frame on page one. Do the same on page 2.
Now connect both text frames: page 2 disappears. This is to be expected but be aware of this.
Now insert text in the textframe on page one that does not fit totally in this textframe: overset symbol appears.
Now where is page 2 that was 'auto deleted' and had the threaded text frame?

Yes, I know. But maybe my point came over the wrong way. If you have auto page delete on, you have three pages and a textframe that spans page 1 and 2, but not yet text in it, and you connect the empty text frames, page 2 will disappear. Now fill page one with overset, page 2 won't do anything because it needs two pages.
Disable auto page delete and it will work.
Just wondering why it was designed this way, that's all ;-)

Pass form element value after insert

I have a page with an insert behaivor, it inserts all form
elements BUT one,
I need to pass the value of this form element to the next
page.
If I apply the 'insert' behaivor, it does the insert well,
but the value of
the form element is not passed to the next page, how can this
be accomplised

I can't because the value is entered in the form and there is
no value until
it is posted. Remember this is an 'insert page' that then
redirects to the
next page.
I used redirection as:

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Video Freezes After One Frame

Hi, so my Adobe product worked PERFECT for about a year now, then all of a sudden it just broke, When I put a file into it, it shows the First Frame and Freezes, the Audio plays as if the Video was showing, but the Video is just frozen. I don't know how to fix it, I've uninstalled and re-installed it, but nothing is helping.

Jewel Case Insert from Menu frame grab. Any Ideas?

I am trying to figure out how to grab a frame off an iDVD project menu theme so I can use it to print a DVD label and jewel case insert. I've created the theme automatically in iDVD, and I just want to be able to freeze-frame and grab the menu image so I can print it out.
It is so easy to print jewel cases from iTunes, is there some simple process I am missing in iDVD?

If you are talking about grabing a menu out of iDVD as a screen shot, just use Grab in your Applications/Utilities folder.
If you are taking about grabbing a menu frame out of a DVD as it is playing with Apple's DVD Player application you will need something like SnapzPro X.

Can I "globally" insert some time/frames?

I'm working on this demo where it moves along at its own pace
(the user has no control). So I'm trying to make sure each portion
is on screen long enough for the average person to read. (They can
always replay the section later). I have a lot of layers and assets
(say about 20 or so per scene). It's becoming very tedious to add a
second of time here and there. I have to move all kinds of keys
over - especially if I make an adjustment in the middle of the
scene, I have to adjust everything afterward.
I think this would be alleviated if I could just select say
frame 100 and insert X frames "globally" or across all layers. If I
could do that, the stuff to the right would be automatically pushed
over and I wouldn't have to adjust anything, plus I could add the
frames in the middle of a section and not have to touch keyframes.
So far though, I cannot seem to find a way to add frames/time
like this. Is this possible?

you can 'drag' the cursor at a frame position across (down
really ... or up) multiple layers to select them, goto a
non-selected frame, click and drag to see.
Then with a column of frames selected, right-click, and use
'insert frame' to add one frame to all selected layers. just keep
the selection in the same position and repeat.
