Elements 6 Printer Profile not showing up on Elements 10 when I go to Print
A third party created a printer profile that I successfully used on Elements 6. However that Printer Profile is not functioning with Elements 10. I would definitely like that Printer Profile to operate when I print on Elements 10. What to do to accomplish that goal? That's the overview. Here's the details: In Elements 10, I press Print. then Change Settings. Then Print Quality (Listed as default 720dpi,terrible print quality). Press Change. That takes me to Epson Stylus 3800 Properties. That box has the right Printer Profile I used in Elements 6. I press OK to get it embedded in Elements 10, but it won't embed and I'm stuck with the 720dpi default. Can someone help with this enigma? HP printer does not show up as part of the neighborhood in printer utility
Hi Everybody -- I am trying to connect to a shared HP printer connected on my XP machine. It works fine when trying to connect to it from other pc's, however, when ever i try to connect to it from my MAC, the pc name and printer does not show up as part of the neighborhood in the printer setup utility (which is weird).
I do have the drivers installed for that particular printer and it works fine with USB connection (HP6110). I know this is not a firewall issue becuase I tried connecting to the printer while disabling the firewall.
Appreciate any help on this matter.Look over the printer sharing articles on iFelix Tech Notes.
In addition, check the Mac's System Preferences> Sharing> Firewall tab> Advanced button and uncheck 'block unwanted UDP traffic' and "enable stealth mode". On the WinXP computer, go to Control Panels> Administrative Tools> Services and set 'Computer Browser' to manual from automatic. -
Printer Profiles not showing in Print Dialog
I cannot seem to see the custom Printer Profiles I have for certain papersin the Print Dialog.
I have added the Print Profiles to Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Profiles (and also in Recommended)
But in the Print Dialog under Colour Management > Photoshop Handles Colour > Print Profile - they are not showing. I have done things like restarting Photoshop and converting the image to CMYK from RGB.
I can see the profiles in the Proofing menu and am able to select them.
Any ideas as without using the profiles my colour management is completely off kilter.
Also, can I confirm that I am putting the printer profiles in the correct folder?Thanks for your response JJMack. I've just found out the problem. It seems that by putting the profiles in the > Recommended folder as well as in the > Profiles folder this seems to have disabled the profiles from displaying in the print dialog.
I'm not sure why but they are displaying fine now.
I'm new to this forum and I wonder if you know if there is a right place or method for sharing this information as I have spent the best part of two hours this afternoon wrestling with this? -
Epson 3800 printer profiles not showing up in Photoshop 3 and 5
When I try to print to my Epson PRO 3800, asking Photoshop to handle colors, this printer profiles are not available. I have this printer for years and have always used PS CS3 to print (and handle colors). Now I have PS CS5 but continue to use 3 for printing to the 3800, because the Epson profiles disppeared from CS5. Now they have disappeared from CS3 too. Any advices?

Custom printer profiles not showing up
Has anyone found a resolution to this.
The RGB Spyder Print custom profile is installed in the correct directory and is associated with my Epson R2400.> I now got one profile that won't show up, the one for a Tecco PPG250

Sorted out!
In my personal case, that is only THE LAST PROFILE, by internal name / alphabetical order, that doesn't show up in the "other..." dialog - always one at a time hidden.
So, I edited an old minilab profile I won't use in LR to show internal name as "ZZ Frontier ...".
I now see all the profiles I want in LR - only the (long forgotten) frontier profile is missing. -

why does adobe photoshop elements 6.0 not show up for a download choice of putting my photos into my computer, I'm on windows7. I'm sure it did when I first got my computer. Could it be that I have lots of other photo software that may be interfering?@@
If you open the Organizer and go to Edit>Preferences>Camera or Card Reader, do you have Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect checked?

ICM paper profile not showing up when I go to the print modual and select icm check the box show all
The icm profile that I installed shows up in the printer profile. I select it then enter the print button at the bottem select my printer open the propertied and when I select icm in the mode window advanced check the box show all profiles, The only profiles that show are the one that came with the printer not the one that I installed and did show back in the printer profile.
What am I doing wrong?To see all profiles in Lr you have to click on the two small triangles besides the profile selected in the Print Job panel.

Then a list of profiles will appear. If you don't see the profile you are looking for in this list, click on <Other> at the bottom of the list. This will take you to the folder where al profiles are installed, and if your profile is in this folder you should see it there.
If you still don't see it then it's a CMYK profile. CMYK profiles show up in Photoshop but not in Lr.
BTW: If you want Lr to manage colors you have to select a profile where it says <Profile> in the Print Job panel and not by clicking on <Print>. -
Printer does not show in Printer & Fax
My printer had a fit and in the attempts to fix it I managed to delete the drivers. After reinstalling the drivers from disc the printer would not show in the Printer & Fax ADD window.
In fact the only place the printer does show up is in the System Profiler.
The printer is a HP Officejey 6110 all-in-one and worked fine as a printer up to now.
It is connected to my IMac via USB the connections have been checked and the printer and computer have been shut down several times.
The printer will print the HP Utilities tests and shows in the system profiler so it cannot be a connection problem, the drivers have been reinstalled so that should not be a problem?
Does anyone know what I can do short of getting a new printer?
The system is an IMAC OS X Version 10.5.8 fully updated
Processor 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

thanks for the prompt reply I used the drivers fromthe OSX disc and reset the printing system 3 times even going to the extent of doing the reset and closing down the computer and the restasting from scratch. No luck at all for some reason the printer could not be found by the add printer function.
The wife dragged me out to the shops today and we ended up getting getting the HP Officjet 6700 Premium it and the MAC work fine together.

Newly added printer is not showing up in printer list in Acrobat 11.0.3

We are using Acrobat Pro 11.0.3. We recently added a new printer and that printer does not show up for one user of the machine in Acrobat. It shows up in other applications and under Printers. Other users who log into the machine can see the printer in Acrobat. I have uninstalled Acrobat, rebooted, reinstalled. I have also removed referenced to Adobe under HKEY_CURRENT_USER as well as APPDATA to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ECP CI Start and Instance Profile not showing in RZ10
Hi,
I am not able to access or view our ECP Central Instance Start and
Instnace profile for ECP CI Instance in RZ10 , I do not see the start
and instance profile for ECP CI Instance. However, I do see start and
instance profiles for APP1 and APP2 instance, but just not CI instance.
So, when I try to re-import the profiles I get the below error message.
I wanted to check if it is access related, so, I logged on the the ECP
CI Server physicall and had tried to accessed the ECP
CI Server and try to access the below path from start --> run -->
SAPGRPPRD\sapmnt\ECP\SYS\profile\ECP_DVEBMGS02_ECC-Prod-CIS and

Up photos mart c7100 series wireless printer does not show up as a printer. Anyone found a fix for for use with ipad3?
It sounds like the features are working through the USB connection rather than the wireless connection since it is still not seeing the networks.
Everything points to a hardware failure since the steps provided through the private message did not work and the wireless test showed it had failed. Sorry.
You do have some options at this point.
If it is under warranty, either standard or extended, you can contact HP support at 1-800-474-6836 to have it serviced under warranty.
If it is out of warranty, you can still contact HP support to find out all the options and the cost of each option. However, it is my opinion that this money would be better spend being applied towards a new printer.

Airport extreme usb printer does not show on macbook
I have been trying to set-up a printer on a Airport Extreme through the USB cable. However, the printer does not show under "Printers and Scanners" and the help on-line has not helped at all.
Unfortunately, not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. In addition, the AirPort's USB port does not support the "advanced" printer functions, like scanning, copying or faxing, of multi-function printers.
To see if your printer is compatible, take a look at this iFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility link. If your printer isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but simply that it has not been verified. iFelix also provides the following workaround for printers not on the list that would certainly be worth a try.
Also you can try this Apple Tech Support article to see if it will help: Printer troubleshooting for AirPort Base Stations and Time Capsule
Finally, check out this IBM support article to see if your printer is listed as having a Postscript or PCL3 interface. If it does, then it will most likely work with the AirPort's USB port. Printers that use the "HP LIDIL" interface must be connected to a computer directly and will not work. -
