Elements 6 updates

Hi,
I tried to download some Elements 6 updates so I can work with RAW files from my new Canon T1i. I tried to download and the files downloaded into Windows Media Player. I followed the instructions and they didn't work. Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the reply. I got the instructions off of the RAW update section of the website.
It says:
1. Exit photoshope elements
2. Open My Computer
3. Double Click Local Disk C:
4. Navigate to:
program files/adobe/photoshop elements 6.0/Plug-ins/file Formats
5. Move the existing Camera Raw.8bi plug-in to another location
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in
7. Launch PSE

Photoshop Elements Update 9.0.3 problems (Vista 64-bit)

I have attempted several time to process the Photoshop Elements Update 9.0.3 but it always ends with the following message:
"Patch cannot be applied. Please Contact Product Support."
I have not had any success searching for this issue under support, and cannot figure out how to contact Product Support.   When Adobe periodically checks for updates, it always brings this update up - so Adobe thinks I need it. ...    But I am able to use the Photoshop - it just occassionally "hangs" and I need to reboot my computer to resolve the Photoshop issue (other applications continue to work).    I did use the "repair" installation options, but that did not resolve the update issue.
Has anyone else seen this problem, or have any suggestions?    My operating system is Windows Vista 64-bit.

A couple things to try first:
With all applications closed, find the downloaded update file. It's probably in a subdirectory of
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe\AdobePatchFiles
(Or you can download the patch manually from the support link below.)
Right-click on the patch file and select "Properties".
At the bottom of the "General" tab, if you see a security message about the file being from another computer, click on the "Unblock" button.
Close the dialog by clicking "OK".
Log off your computer and log back on as an Administrator.
Start PSE9 and apply the patch.
If that doesn't work, Adobe support options can be accessed from this page:

Elements update 9.0.3 will not install

I migrated my Elements 9.0 program from a Windows 7 Laptop to a new Windows 8 laptop. As I was downloading the Elements update 9.0.3 I resieved an error message that it could not perform the install. What do I do now?

How can I install Adobe Photoshop Elements Update 9.0.3 after I get a message that Installation has failed and the solution is not in troubleshooting or forums?

My Photoshop Elements 9 stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I clicked the PSE button nothing happened. I tried this several times over a few days and it still failed. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it. It worked well. Then I tried to install the Update 9.0.3. The download was almost successful. When it was about to show 100% successful for the download, an error message said the installation had failed and that I should try later. I tried this many times over a few days and the same result occurred. I tried troubleshooting and the answers to questions, but I could not find an answer. I don't know where to go to see if anybody has answered my question. How can I install Update 9.0.3?

WBS element updation through MASS transaction

Hi,
I am trying to update WBS element in Sales order - Item data (Account Assigmanent Tab) using MASS transactiomn, After executing MASS transaction it is updating the same.
Can any one help in this??

Hi Mr.Srikky,
I am not sure but try to do the following things
1) Change the WBS manually and save the order, see whether the system allow you to save the order or not.
2) If 1st point is ok then might be you are not executing the MASS correctly, Try MASS for any other feild like payment term.
Please dont mind, I am just looking for possibilities.
Please also cross check the MRP details of your materials.

Photoshop elements update error

My photoshop elements 12 will not update. Like others it gives error message. Possible solution is download drivers? The problem is I don't know what to do with these files or if I should even extract them. Below is a screen shot. The files below look like MAC files and not Windows files. Help. If these files are not for me what next. I am needing the Beginner Version. Thanks.

Opened my Photoshop Elements 9 program-

The post described the steps I took.....see above.
Photoshop opens and operates fine. Just didn't install update. Says 'this installer is misconfigured' and to contact program author. Adobe website no help.
Like I said, I can still use the program, just wanted the critical update.

Elements update to 12.1 fails

Elements 12 fails consistantly when trying to update to 12.1. The error is:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.1 update
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1P2003
I've tried the fixes at

In your case PSE registry has got corrupted. Please follow below mentioned steps(note that it is different from the one mentioned on the Adobe Help link):
In Windows, click Start > Run.
In the Run dialog, type regedit, and click OK.
In the Registry Editor window, browse to the location:
(Windows 64-bit) HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{ 777B751F-C904-4BD7-8DFF-81F97A3C0BC5}
(Windows 32-bit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{ 777B751F-C904-4BD7-8DFF-81F97A3C0BC5}
In the right pane, locate the registry key named InstallLocation. Modify the value of the InstallLocation registry key to point to the installation folder location of your Elements software. The typical default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Start your Elements software, and click Help > Updates.

WBS ELEMENT UPDATION THROUGH ML82N

While entering service entry sheet through ml81n there is a one file WBS ELEMENT.
How this field will update in GL of FI Module?

G/L account will be updated in back end, based on your assignment in P.O , if it is Service P.O manually created, if it is created from Project it will also update.

PS Elements Update fails. Suggestions?

What specific update are you trying to apply? Which operating system are you using? Have you tried reviewing the installation logs for the update which is being applied? Photoshop elements update 9.0.3 and raw update 6.5 cannot be installed

Are you trying to do this from the Help menu? That never worked in PSE 9. It only notifies you that there are updates and you have to go get them and install them yourself, from here:

Unable to install Elements Update Camera Raw 6.6

Getting an "Adobe Photoshop Elements" "Updating..." Window

Every now and then (always when I'm in a hurry) I get a Window that pops up in the organizer that has the title "Adobe Photoshop Elements" and a message "Updating..." and a progress bar. Most of the time it zips right through to 100% but sometimes (like right now) it takes a long time - like over an hour!!!
Anyone have an idea of what it's updating?
I've looked at the resource monitor and it looks like the file PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe has over a hundred files (photos) open and reading from them. Is it rebuilding thumbnails or something in the DB?
Also, not sure if it's related but I use the Media Center plugin to view slideshows. Is it somehow messing things up - maybe clearing the thumbnails?
I'm running Vista Home Premium. Intel Quad Core [email protected] 4GB ram and a Raid 5 disk array.

It appears to be related to watched folders. Try disabling all watched folders by unchecking File > Watch Folders > Watch Folders. If that doesnt work, you can try turning off the service Active File Monitor that implements watching see one of the threads above for how to do that.
Please post back if either of those works.

Premier elements Updates

The updater/application manager keeps popping up and advising that there are updates to my version 9.
It does not complete the updates, some updates failed to install.
What do I need to do.

Thanks for the follow up. As for the Photoshop Elements 9 updates...
The Camera Raw 6.5 update would apply to that as well as to Premiere Elements 9.
Just in case note, Camera Raw will allow you to import raw image format and dng into Premiere Elements 9, but you need Photoshop Elements to use the Camera Raw editing module.

Elements update for windows 7

When I uploaded my Elements 4 [Windows XP] onto a new PS running Windows 7 64 bit I get the following message - This program has known compatibility problems. Any ideas for a solution?

Chances are you won't be able to use pse 4 on windows 7 and there is no adobe update to fix the problem.
(pse 4 came out well before windows vista or 7)
Two solutions:
1. Update to pse 10 (buy pse 10)
2. Use virtual xp if your windows 7 system supports it.
