Elements 7.0 worked perfectly for many years then stopped working about 1.5 months ago. I just finished at chat session with Adobe support, but we did not find a solution. At the very end, when I tried to run Elements in the sandbox, I got an error message saying that my licensing stopped working.

I have been trying to troubleshoot with Verizon support via twitter as well. So far I have gotten, to simply turn location off for 12 hours and afterwords see if it works again. This did not work. They said engineers are looking into it. Additionally this was a replacement phone via the HTC advantage program so I assume it is refurbished. I did not use GPS until the 5,0,1 android update coincidentally so I do not know for sure it worked when I got it.
The 2nd link shows the possibility of GPS breakage during the initial teardown of a return. Sadly the other issue is extreme battery drain. A 5 min phone call took 5% power and standby for 2 hours took 30%. No active background apps beyond stock, no auto sync, all devices but 4g data and WiFi turned off.
I think the software is not to blame. Seems HTC sent me an incrediby faulty phone.

Has Apple recently up-dated my OS (Lion) such that every time the screen saver starts it disables Time Machine. I have to switch-off the computer and re-start in order to undertake a back-up. I have now switched of all screen savers.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

After working perfectly for two years my iTouch has suddenly stopped connecting to my Hub although my desktop computer still connects. I have tried everything I can think of, including suggestions off Google/You Tube but nothing makes any difference. Any ideas. Surely it is not fit for the scrap heap after two years, but is clearly no use as it is.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Securing Dual-System Configuration

The full process would be:
Backup Windows partition with Winclone.
(if the new Windows partition is smaller than the old one make sure you set the preferences in Winclone to save the image as an uncompressed dmg)
Delete old Windows partition
Resize current Mac Partition
Create new Windows partition as MS-DOS (FAT) in free space after Mac OS partition.
(If the new Windows partition is smaller than the old one an additional step is required: shrink the filesystem on the image by selecting Tools->Shrink Windows (NTFS) Filesystem)
Reboot your computer for the new Windows partition to mount properly (winclone may not restore if you don't reboot)
Restore Winclone partition over new Windows partition

Hi Brian - The light at the front of the ATV indicates it is on. I can't see it on the iOS remote app. Actually, I installed the app and when I went to the ATV it said 'no signal'. So, I am not sure if it is coincidence or what, as I did NOT go to the settings on the ATV and change the remote setting. I can't set it to another TV, can I set it to my MacBook to check? I find it's touchy. Tap anywhere on the note to bring up the keyboard. If you tap and hold, you won't bring up the keyboard. Just tap momentarily.
If you can't get it to work, try restarting your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If it still doesn't work, try resetting your iPad. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

HT2248 G5 will now not recognize 2 added dimms that have worked perfectly for 3 years

Added 2 x 500 dimms 3 years ago, has been fine up until recently. But now the computer is running very slow and have discovered it is not showing or recognizing that the extra memory is there. It is especially useful when troubleshooting intermittent kernel panics. If Loop Mode is supported by the version of the Apple Hardware Test you are using, you run the Extended Test in Loop Mode by pressing Control-L before starting the test. Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button.The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If a problem is found, the test will cease to loop, indicating the problem it found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure.In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.

Can't reset up an email account which I've had for many years and usually works

I have deleted my email account on my desktop because it wasn't working and tried to add a new account with the same details. I can't do this because it says it failed to connect with the server. I can access this account ok on my iphone though.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue.

According to the device details, Nokia C3-00 supports 802.11b/g protocol for WLAN connectivity.
Usually WLAN access points support 802.11b/g/n protocols, but if you have an active connection to a laptop, for example, your router may have been automatically switched to operate in 802.11n mode. As a result your phone is unable to connect to the router.
So, I would recommend that you check your router/access point's settings and try to set the connection protocol to 802.11b/g. Your friend's access point may already be working in this mode and as a result you have no problems connecting to it.
