Elements 7 Organizer hangs up immediatly upon opening

Question

I am using Photoshop Elements Version 7 with Windows 7 Professional.  I have recently repaired and optimized the only catalog that I have.  Now when I open the Organizer it freezes immediately while generating thumbnails.  If I attempt any action, the screen greys out and I get the ”program is not responding” box.

I have purchased Elements 11 but cannot get it to import the catalog information from Version 7.  Photoshop support was not able to help me and suggested thi s post.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You're still looking at the wrong folder.  In the tech note:

step 2 refers to the following folder for XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Adobe\Online Services
You substitute your user name for [your user name].  Your user name is the account name you use to log into Windows; e.g. I log into Windows with the user name "ellis", so the folder to navigate to would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\ellis\Application Data\Adobe\Online Services
Also, the note in step 2 says to make sure that you can view hidden files in Windows Explorer, but the link provided no longer works.  Here's the correct link:

Once you've completed step 2, proceed to step 3 to delete the indicated subfolder.
