Elements 8 Background Synchronization Does Not Upload New Albums
When I first down
loaded Photoshop Elements 8, I was able to create a new Album in Photoshop Elements and share it on-line from within Photoshop. That worked a couple of time, but now when I create a new album and attempt to share it on-line, Photoshop Elements marks it as "Backup/Synchronization Pending" but it never gets synchronized so the album never appears on Photosop.com. I have checked and re-checked the preferences to make sure synchronization is enabled. I can see that the albums I have selected to sync are flagged as such in the preferences, as well as in the Album panel. I have tried to manually start the synchronization from the status bar at the bottom of Photoshop Elements. I have even un-installed and re-installed Photoshop Elements. Nothing works.
Anything else I can try to get this working again?

After 2 hours on the phone, the first hour waiting listening to music waiting
for a rep, i got one, Rahul, that took over half hour to figure out it has to do with camera raw files. He wanted me to have to remove XMP files, then go back and try to upload the raw files, and if it worked then I could move back the XMP files to the original files. This was totally defeating the purpose of auto backup/sync. So another words, the product doesn't do what it states,and from looking at the forums, many others have had the same problems with the backup and sync.... guess they may come out with a fix in version 9???
spent another half hour trying to get a refund for the extra storage I purchased. WELL...had an Alex Oyos state that that subscriptions (annual storage) is not refundable, so sorry but when your product doesn't work and I have spent over 16 hours in the last 2 weeks trying to get it to work, I will get a refund
long story short, I am supposedly getting my refund in 7-10 days, I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, and as much as I love photoshop, I will have nothing but negative feelings about their customer service/ tech support.
SO BUYER BEWARE! I would highly recommend not buying or using the storage/backup that Adobe offers with elements 8, but use one of the many other online services for backup, I know I am. It's a saftey backup in addition to the external backup hard drive that I have.

Hi, Yes you are correct in iPhoto Prefernces, Advanced tab editing I used to have iPhoto and "Use external editor.". It changed to iPhoto and iPhoto Library. I have einstaleed PSE 9 and downloaded the update. There is still no lkink to external editor in the drop down box. Have I done something wrong inadvertently or is there a clitch? can you reinstal iPhoto. I am new to Macs. Icloud photo does not upload from iphone
Dear Apple (yes other users I know this is not for Apple. Like many I am fed up by not seeing this issue fix even after OS 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3, so pardon me if I'm a bit testy).
For many many months since the iCloud Photo Beta we (I will take the liberty to speak for others in another thread that was titled 'beta' and we have been chastised and told in no uncertain terms to start a new thread so here)... have had situations where iPhone and iPad will not upload new photos to iCloud Photo. nor does it download 'as advertised'.
Please don't ask us if we have tried turning iCloud Photo off-on-off on our iOS devices, we have.
Left iPhoto in 10.10.3 running... turned everything off everywhere... turned it back on everywhere...
Submitted (me, probably 5 times) to the Feedback APple or whatever it is called.
Submitted error reports from iCloud Photo on the web which cannot start do anything... about 5 times...
So, till now nothing.
But I will help to grow your $180bn reserves by feeding a measly $3.99 a month for 250GB (or is that $2.99? can't remember now)... for NOTHING. At least I'm keeping some allocation warm.

Synchronization does not stops
Hi all
After installing MI, MAM etc, during the Synchronization for the data (5000 measurement points), the data comes but the Synchronization does not stops or takes a very long time to stop. Confirmed about the data by tracking the memory and also by restartign the device once the memory is stable, the data exists.
Similarly while creating measurement documents for 150 docuemtns syn works fine, but for 300 documents the data gets successfully posted but the sync does not stops unitl we manually restart the device.
We use Symbol 9090 and program memory available is 2 to 3 MB.
Is it a memory issue?? Did any one had come accross this problem??

Surprised that these recomendations doesnt work. Anyway i have one more recomendation which is related to TIME AGENT. If you are using any of the Agent feature, which is made available recently in MI then this could also result in an endless sync. The Time agent which is one of the several Agents, can never have a value TRUE for the History parameter. As for the possible solution, please change the value of AGENT_HISTORY in the TIME_AGENT parameter set to FALSE and then assign this parameter set to a device configuration which inturn in assigned to a device. Please test this new scenario with a fresh client installation and not with an already synced client. This should solve this endless problem.
Or other way of testing this is In the client there is a file named <b><i>agents.properties</i></b> in the MI settings folder. Here there would an entry called TRACE_AGENT#AGENT_HISTORY=TRUE. Please set his value to FALSE. Let me know if this works.

Form does not show "new" records from SQL Database
I have a PDF form that pulls data from a SQL Server. The fields in
the PDF are populated from the database after selecting a specific
record from a drop down and then clicking on a button labeled "Fill".
The problem is that the dropdown does not display new records that
have been recently added to the database. I have to open the form up
in designer then save it, (*note - I change nothing at this point.)
Then when the form is opened back up in Adobe the dropdown show all
the records including the new ones. I even put a manual refresh on
form to try and fix this an it did not help. Seriously stumped.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

When uploading my formatted resume to my Apple Jobs profile, I am always presented with a c:\fakepath message and the resume does not upload. How can I rectify this?
Add this one to the list of thinks that don't work on the Apple Job Board. It looks like Apple is using ADP's VE (Virtual Edge) technology to run this system, and I've been stupified by the number of features that are just broken, or so poorly thought out by ADP as to be unusable, (certainly for webkit and mozilla browsers at least: I didn't bother checking IE.)
Here are a few highlights:
"My Job List", list of jobs applied for, seems to max out at three. You can apply for more than that, but you can only see the first three.
"Search Using Your Resume" feature yields few or no results, even when the pasted text contains only common, exactly matched words like 'Design' or 'Engineer'.
The missing resume upload, described in this thread.
"My Job Agent" seems to never flag anything, at least it hasn't ever for me despite pretty loose criteria.
Agent's created using "My Job Agent" eventually just disappear, which is fine because they don't seem to work.
When updating a profile, acknowledging the 'Terms' happens twice in a row.
Job seekers can only supply one cover letter despite being able apply for several jobs.
Pagination for search results only appears at the top of the page, so it's necessary to scroll down through each page, then up to the top again to proceed to the next page.
Well, I'm sure there are others, but you get the idea. I hope the Apple folks can fix this, (or twist ADP's arm to fix it,) so it better represents the quality of experience that Apple is so respected for consistently delivering. -
Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather according the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part? (I do have the setting for creating new emails from the highlighted mailbox checked.)
The questions about time was not only because of thinking about the Time Machine, but also possible impact on recognizing which messages remaining on a POP server (doesn't apply to IMAP) have been already downloaded. In the Mail folder, at its root level, in Mail 3.x there is a file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 that should prevent duplicate downloading -- some servers may not communicate the best with respect to that, and the universal index must certainly be involved in updating that index file. If it corrupts, it can inhibit proper downloading. However, setting the account up in a New User Account and having the same problem does not point that way, unless your POP3 server is very different from most.
That universal index is also typically involved when messages are meant to be moved from the Inbox to another mailbox -- in Mail 3.x the message does not move, but rather is copied, and then erased from the origin mailbox. That requires updating the Envelope Index to keep track of where the message is, and should keep track of where it is supposed to have been removed after the "Move".

When attempting to use Lightroom external editor program to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10, the photo does not open / appear on photoshop elements screen. I don't have any problem with this when using Photoshop Elements 6 or Photoshop CS. I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Any solutions?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac does not show up in Applications. Tutorial for editing from iPhoto shows selecting the Adobe software in Applications. Am I missing a step in registering product?
I answered my own question: There's a difference between "download' and "install." Hunt for "install" (1.5 hrs in my case) and line up your passwords, Adobe ID, etc, then install. Took 15 min. The right choice shows up in Applications. Now it's on to figuring out why photo selected for edit in iPhoto does not show up on screen in Elements.

How do I uninstall a program that is running in the background but does not show in Force Quit?
Open Activity Monitor and look for the program. Select it and Quit or Force quit it from within Acitiviy Monitor.
Search for the application with Find Any File as it can search areas that Spotlight can't, like invisible folders, system folders and packages. You can drag the app and any associated files from the search result window to the Trash bin in the Dock.

Until recently I have been able to sync my office desktop Outlook 2010 to my home laptop through my iphone. Now my home laptop does not upload my recurring appointments to the iphone even though they appear on the laptop.
I did play with the 'days back sync' settings but I thought I restored them to before. I'm pretty sure they match the settings on my office desktop.

PeterI see the problem now. If there are more values in one varray or the other, how do you want to handle it? Below I have demonstrated, first the solution that I previous offered, that would only insert the rows where there are values from both varrays. In the second example below, I have inserted a null value in place of the missing value from the varray that has fewer values.
