Elements 8 Trial vs. the non-trial

I have been looking for a good Video Editing Software for months now.
I have used full versions of Pinnacle Studio HD 14 which is very poor.
as well as others.
Power Director 8 seems OK, but lacks features i need.
So to my Questions:
I have tried using the Trial version of Premiere Elements 8 and have the following issues, are these just Trial Limitations
- No 1080p for saving movies (USing .mts raw files) FXP/MXP
- 1080i saves a video with black space on top, bottom, and sides
- Background rendering is very slow. takes quite a while.
Is the Full Paid version alot better, because when I downloaded it, the page said Full Features, just limited to 30 days.
I really like Adobe Products, I have been using since the old Macromedia days, I have used the following I had no issues.
- Macromedia Flash Communications Server 1, and 1.5
- Fireworks MX (Still currently use)
- Flash MX
- Flash MX 2000
- Freehand MX
- The entire Studio MX

I have also been looking at buying CS5, but if I cannot get Elements trail to perform, then its out of the question.
So Ultimatly, if I buy Elements 8 / Plus will I get these issues.

Yes the Letter box issue is fixed now.
just as both of you recomended.
As for 1080p I guess its not really a big deal.
For some reason this software just seems very buggy, maybe its just me.
I will evaluate the full 30 day trial before making my decision.
I think I am going to try CS5 trial.
Not sure it can be better then Premiere Elements 8 as far as video editing.

It is the same installer. You can run it as 30-days trial (CC version) and decide later for CC or stand-alone. To license as stand-alone, follow this guide.
If you already have the LR6 license key, you can enter it during setup and do not need to follow the guide.

I am using Elements 12 trial on an old windows 7 PC and wish to purchase the license. If I upgrade to a Mac OSX in the near future, will I have to repurchase the license?

If you think you want to use PSE on both platforms buy the boxed version, which comes with a serial number that works in both. Downloads have single-platform serial numbers. But at this time of year I don't think I'd buy PSE till the trial runs out.

Problem with install Premiere Elements 12 trial version

I have a little problem with install Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (trial)
During the installation I get the message (in German) Während der Installation des folgenden Produkts ist ein Fehler aufgetreten: . Starten Sie Ihr System neu und versuchen Sie es erneut.
I installed the SW in two different notebooks. Unfortunately I get the same message on both notebooks.
Below I have make some print screens during the installation and the error message.

Try the basic troubleshooting steps :
Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref : http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-adminis trator-account-on-windows-vista/ )

Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-servic es-windows.html )
--> I have disabled it.
Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
--> I have disable it.
Reboot and Install in the enabled Administrator account and check.

Sono 2o3giorni che vho scaricato Photoshop Element 10 Trial. Ieri mi hanno regalato la versione x Mac di Photoshop Element 10. You should be able to enter the serial number from the DVD to convert the trial to a purchased version.

Adobe Premiere Elements 9 Trial crash when creating/opening project

I've just installed Premiere Elements 9 Trial for testing
Installation went with no problems
When i try to create/open a project Premiere crashes with message like:

Welcome to the forum.
As your system setup will likely be much different from that of Konrad's, I would start a new thread, and in it, list the full system in detail, as Konrad did. This ARTICLE will give you tips on the info that would be very useful.
In Konrad's case, the C:\ was filled to about capacity, so could well have been a contributing factor. That is why full I/O specs. will be very, very useful.

Cannot get Photoshop Elements 10 Trial to Install - Windows 7 64-bit

Hi,
I cannot get Photoshop Elements 10 Trial to Install - Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded the trail of Photoshop CS6 just fine. I am trying to download the trial of Photoshop Elements 10. I get the adobe installer window and I login in and select my PSE 10 Trial and the installation begins and I have it saved to my desktop. When the installation finishes nothing happens. There is a Photoshop Elements folder on my desktop but it is empty. I have tried a couple of time with the same result.
Any suggestions?

Hi Ken,
I apologize for not making myself clear. What I meant by "saving to desktop" was when I I went to download the the trial of PSE 10 the install window will ask me where I want to save the file. It is defaulted (highlighted) to save to "my documents" but I selected to save the file to my desktop. I tried to install the trial of Photoshop Elements 10 again and this time it did install and is working.

Elements 10 trial doesn't show guided edit and other menus

I've just downloaded and installed the Photoshop Elements 10 trial for the second time.
I shut down my firewall and internet security while installing.
The program loads fine but when I click on Guided edit, the panel on the right is blank.
This is the same for Quick edit.
The help files also won't load.
I'm running a Windows 7 on a 64 bit machine.
Please help!

Try clicking the re-set panels button on the top menu bar and see if that makes any difference. Have you tried with an image open. Certainly the Quick edit module remains grayed out usually until you have a photo in the main window.
If that does not fix it you may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it.
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Close down Elements and re-open it in the normal way - then wait whilst it rebuilds the preferences.

Photoshop Elements 12 trial version won't install

I have an Mac running iOS v10.9.4 and I currently have Photoshop Elements 10 installed. I'm trying to download the Photoshop Elements 12 trial version. The Install Adobe Download Assistant has been copied to my Downloads folder. When I try to open the file it stops and gives me the following error message: "The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem. The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid. Please contact the application author." Any suggestions?

Adobe premiere elements 8 trial

Ok so I'm working on a school assignment and downloaded the trial of premiere elements. Installed fine etc but noticed, that overlayed on the video is "Created using Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Trial version". The school has full licenced copies of Premiere elements 7. If I create the movie at home and then load it on the school computers will it still have that? Also, is there any issues going from Premiere Elements 8 to Premiere Elements 7

If you did a Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy, copied all of your Assets and had a laptop with PrE 8, then things should work fine. Remember - the Asset files are NOT in the Project file. This ARTICLE will give you the tips.
I migrate Projects between computers (usually PrPro, but it's exactly the same). I use external FW-800 drives, and set each Project up in its own folder and ALL Assets are Copied to that folder structure.
The problem that one will likely encounter is that with an external HDD, the drive letter will probably change, machine to machine. I set this to be the same for each computer's OS, so that my Z:\ is always my Z:\ drive on each computer, where I plug it in. This might be something that you will not have access to, with lab machines, but PrE makes it easy to deal with. When you plug in the external HDD, and then open your Project, the Path to the Assets will be different, so PrE will not be able to find them on its own. It will ask, "where is file _____?" and you can then use Find to navigate to the new Path for those Assets files. Once you locate the first one in that folder, it will then relink to all used Assets in that folder. If you have the Assets in many different folders, you will need to repeat for each folder.
Be very sure to read that FAQ article on removing the watermark. That will need to be followed.

There are a few things to try:
1) Remove all traces of the previous install and start over.
2) Update Java script for OS X Lion http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421
3) Temporarily disable any firewalls, internet security and antivirus software during download and installation - don‘t forget to turn it back on again after installation is complete.
4) Try the download again using a different browser such as Firefox. Before starting enlarge the temporary internet file cache in Firefox 3.x and later (Mac OS)
Choose Firefox > Preferences.
In the Advanced tab, click Network.
In the Offline Storage area, increase the amount of space for the cache to the size of your file. (The default is 50 MB.)

Photoshop Elements 10 trial

I just downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 trial today. I then opened the program, but had somewhere to be and closed the program without ever trying it. When I went to open it again later today, it said that my trial period had expired. How is this possible? I thought it was a 30 day trial and I didn't even get 1 full day. Please help.

Can I download Premiere Elements 7 trial?

Does anybody know where can I download Premiere Elements 7 trial? My school is using Premiere Elements 7 and I'm afraid I'm going to have compatibility issues with Elements 9 and 7.

That might be a tough one, as PrE 7 is now two years and two versions old, I would anticipate that the trial downloads are long gone.
Also remember, any Project done in any "trial" version will be watermarked, so you might not be happy with the results. This FAQ Entry will tell you more about the watermark.
Good luck, and I hope that someone else might have a URL to the download, but I would not hold my breath, due to the age of that version.
