Elements 9 and a Slide Show issue - help!

I'm using Elements 9 trial and will probably buy it. One problem has to do with Slide Show.
It's a feature the family like to use. I have no problem building a slide show however full screen displays
seem to have a limit on image size......pictures show as distorted or heavily pixelated. As if I'm enlarging a 640x480 image to full HD size.
What am I doing wrong......the example of what I like is how Picasa builds slide shows, full screen images show at actual image size.
This is the only negative I seem to find in my trial of Elements 9.

Thanks 99jon but it doesn't workk for me.....maybe if I describe my steps
put 29 images in an album
select all 29 images
click create slide show
select preview playback option "high"
click OK
press F11, full screen slide show starts
but no joy, pictures are not sharp and clear, as if I enlarged a 640x480 image on a 24" monitor
originlas are all 3264x2448 so I'd expect good image quality in the slide show.
What am I doing wrong.....

UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.

PowerPoint 2010 arrows in series lines was displayed reversely between the edit mode and the slide show

I encounter a strange problem with the column chart in PowerPoint 2010 (or maybe the combinations of Excel 2010 and PowerPoint 2010). The directions of the arrows in Series Lines display in the reverse direction between the edit mode and the Slide
Show.
Here are the steps to recreate this phenomenon:
Open a new Presentation > Insert > Chart > Column > Stacked Column > Press OK
Excel pops up. Close Excel and return to PowerPoint.
Click on the chart > Layout > Lines > Select "Series Lines"
Right click on the lines and select "Format Series Lines"
Line Style > End Type > Choose "Stealth Arrow"

When F5 was pressed (Slide Show)

If you look closely at the directions of the arrows, they are display in the reverse directions. Anyone is having the same issue?

Based on my tested both of the PowerPoint 2010 and
PowerPoint 2013, I reproduced the issue in my environment.
If I choose the End Type> Stealth Arrow(---->), it showed "<-----" in "Normal mode", but showed the "---->" in "Slide Show mode". It seems display correctly in "Slide Show mode".
We have definitely heard your frustration, and we're thinking about ways to make this scenario work better for our customers. Please wait for the issue is fixed. Thanks.

How do you create a smart album so that you can look at and edit slide show fashion instead of one at a time?

Is the Apple program always this convoluted every time something new is rolled out to roll over someone?

Sorry but I have no idea what you're asking. What s "look and edit slide show fashion"? Where does a Smart Album fit into that? You know you can move from shot to shot using the arrow keys, right?

I suggest that you try unchecking both of the crop options - landscape & portrait.
To re-create your situation, I had to check the crop for landscape pictures option.
I prefer to have control over any cropping so I tend to crop each image first before creating the slide show.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

Photoshop Elements 6 - PDF slide show won't run when email is opened

I have created a slide show in Photoshop Elements 6 as a PDF file and sent it to myself as a trial run. Although I have selected the 'loop' option the show does not run automatically when the email attachement is opened as I believe it should. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

It comes to something when I have to answer my own question! However I have to admit I did have a little help from an earlier question which was thrown up by a search I did! It seems that when a PDF show is emailed and the recipient is asked whether the show should be opened in full screen or not; the answer should be 'yes' in order for the show to start automatically.
If the recipient answers 'no' the show stays stuck on the first slide. Hope this help anyone else who may have the same problem.

When I save my slide show and then try and get it back again all the slide boxes are black.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you used Windows Explorer or the Organizer to delete or move the photos you included in the slide show?

Flash slide show - feedback / help

Client is complaining "running super choppy on my computer" and I see the issue as well - corrected once I hit the refresh button, but can anyone assist with something I may have overlooked either in design or activation with this Flash component?

As Ned suggests, it does load fine and play OK with a good connection speed.
I think what your client may be talking about however, is on a marginal connection, I do notice some slight pausing, choppiness on loading for the first time, once loaded and refreshed it runs fine. I also noticed that the pics that slide change speed, so they are either eased or there are multiple points in your tween line, they are not a smooth even pan. The pics that fade in and out look fine.
If I were to make a suggestion I would suggest you increase your frame rate speed, 30 or 40 fps or more, but use the same time to tween images as they are currently, test out a few see if it helps... more frames in the same period of time will certainly make the images appear to move smoother. Also carefully look at your tweens to see if there are multple points within the line. If there are multiple points, maybe try one point at beginning and one at end only. If all else fails, you could try a preloader.

It doesn't look like the xml file matches the code. While folks here like to help, there's a point where the effort is fairly time consuming and it becomes doing your design work for you, which is what we normally do for a living. Your best bet will be to find something that has all of the features you want included in it. If you are willing to spend a little money, you can probably find one fairly inexpensive that you can tailor to your needs without having to edit the file code at all.
You can always wait to see if someone else responds.

Media Manager slide show timing help

Not sure which forum this belongs but I have built multiple slideshows on my vista 32 machine using media manager. I added music in the back. When shown on my pc the slide show takes the timing settings I gave and runs perfect. However when I go to the tv, the timing is fixed at 5 sec. What can I do to adjust the timing? Also, is there a means to play in a loop? I have a music file with slide show I want to use on my large video wall during a party and want it to set to loop (100+ slides). Thanks for any help!

Open your project. Hover your mouse over the music track in the timeline and when it changes to a hand symbol, click once to highlight the track you want to remove. Then hit delete.

Aperture and iPhoto Slide Show

I am new to Mac and considering Aperture. I shoot with a Nikon D70s and use mostly jpg and some RAW. After editing in Aperture, would I need to export the images to get them into iPhoto for a slide show; either RAW or jpg?
Not knowing exactly what I am doing, when I download RAW files into my PowerBookPro via iPhoto, they are converted to smaller jpg files. If I use Aperture, will they still be converted upon download?
These may be very basic questions, but I would appreciate the advice.

while the NEF (5.2 mb) was converted to 1.1 mb and a second 36 kb data file.
No it wasn't converted (and you saw it later in the /Originals) that's the preview I referred to above:
iPhoto makes a jpeg Preview of the RAW file,
Photo makes a Thumbnail of everything on import.
The question now, when I see the image in iPhoto and want to make edits in iPhoto and/or Aperture, will it be to the NEF 5.2 mb or jpeg 1.1 mb file?
First: iPhoto (because the two apps may seem similar but are in fact quite different)
It'll be the RAW file. Try it and see. When you edit a RAW there's a badge in the iPhoto Window.
(This is all detailed rather better than I can explain it in the iPhoto Help. Search on RAW) Note that only a camera can make or edit a RAW file, so all your edits in iPhoto are "published" to a jpeg (or tiff if you so elect in the iPhoto preferences.)
This is how iPhoto preserves your Original file.
Aperture is a rather different beast.
When you manipulate a file in Aperture the applications records your decisions in a database and then when you go to look at the file again... it applies your edits live as you open the file. This is how it preserves the original file.
If you want to access the file in another application - for instance add it to a Pages document or whatever, Aperture uses the Preview it creates for this purpose. The Preview is a jpeg of the edited file. However to get full quality versions of your file use one of the many export possibilities.
