This occurs just after it says that it is calculating the time remaining.
I have enabled JavaScript as per the website, but this does not resolve the issue
Any help would be appreciated. Also - how do you get to request Adobe help - have tried almost every page on their website!!

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete the following (sorry, don't know what they're called in German):
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Settings
Repair permissions and try again. (This library is hidden in lion. To see it, in the Finder, click the Go menu and then hold down the option key. It will appear below the little house for your user folder.)
If it still hangs and it's always done this, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling. If you use antivirus software be sure to disable it while installing.

Thank your for your reply. I am running windows 8.1. And there is a huge mess going on. I was on with Adobe tech support all morning and they cannot get photoshop, premiere to update. Then they tried to uninstall, and it would not uninstall. They renamed the directories and did a direct reinstall and it failed. They changed permissions on directories. There are no viruses or malware. I run cccleaner, pcmatic and scan all the time. This process also corrupted my purchased licensed version of Fireworks CS6. Now I cannot even get that to install. We have run the cleaner over and over. So finally I manually cleaned the registry of selected Adobe products and removed everything from the hard drive. I am now running scans because they had me disable my pc matic and windows firewall temporarily while they worked on my pc. I am a graphic designer and I have a project in the waiting. I need to have fireworks, flash photoshop and premiere working but I don't think this is possible.

Did the download complete? If so you need to go to the zip folder and extract the files. Then double click the set up application.

Simulate gmail archive behavior with iCloud and apple mail (lion)

does anyone know of a way to configure an iCloud mail account in apple mail (lion) such that the delete button actually archives email? i'd like to simulate the behavior of a gmail account in apple mail, which does just that, i.e. delete sends messages to the "All Mail" folder. in this case, i'd like it to send emails to the "Archive" folder. as i have one gmail account and one iCloud account, it would be great if there was one consistent means of archiving mail, versus using the ctrl-cmd-A shortcut for iCloud mail.
iOS 5 actually has such a setting to do just that: "Archive Messages" under the iCloud mail settings. so it seems strange to me that apple mail would not.

Actually, Apple has always supported using custom folders in iMap for Deleted Messages, Drafts, Sent, & Junk. But I agree that with the release of 10.7.2 and iCloud with their new Archive feature, they haven't made it easy!
I run my Mac in Swedish, so forgive me if I don't remember or get the exact wording of each option 100% correct, but I'm sure you'll figure it:
In Mail Settings under your iCloud account, and in the middle tab (Mail Box Functions?), under the trash option at the bottom, make sure that:
Move deleted mail to the trash can is Checked!
Save deleted mail on on the server is Checked!
Delete trashed (?) mail permanently is set to NEVER!
Then go back to the main mail window and display the folders for your iCloud account on the LH side
Select your achive folder.
Go to the Mail Box menu in the menubar, Select "Use this mailbox for..." and then Select trash.
You will not notice that your archive folder now appears under the trash can in Apple Lion Mail (and the deleted items folder that is no longer the trash will appear under the folders).
This works a treat, and in fact I use this for Gmail as well. If you're interested, I have so much mail in all mail, but I want to have everything in Apple Mail. I also get to have a private backup on my Mac (and Time Machine).
So, in Gmail, I have an "Apple Trash" folder which I link to deleted items as above, and which every six months or so I relabel (in the gmail app) to another folder. That way I don't have 50,000 mails in my trash. I don't activate All Mail in Gmail's IMAP because everything I have is always in at least one other folder / lable which syncs to my mac!

Cisco wireless and Apple Mac woes

Hello all,
I've been working with Cisco wireless and WLC's for a couple of years now but the recent onslaught of Apple Mac's is giving me heart burn. I've seen this at numerous sites now and need to throw it to eht community for guidance.
Basically we have had a number of instances where the Macs just fall off the wifi. Sometimes it's when they wake from sleep and other times when roaming between AP's (1131s with same SSID's). Our standard install is WPA2 and per ap local authentication. PC's work fine and never an issue.
We have completed a survey with a spectrum analyser and no RF interefence is present nor errors on the radio interface.
Questions:
- Is there a preferred Cisco config/setup for Mac's to work reliably? I've heard loads of rumors but nothing concrete and nor can I find anything specific.
- Should I be setting up WDS in case there is an authenticating issue.
- For those who are Mac gurus and happen to be reading. What Mac options we should look at?
This has all come to a head because the clients IT company who recommended the Macs (different from us doing the network infrastructure) are insisting that the problem is Cisco incompatibility and that we should rip out the Cisco kit and install airports (what tha!!!).

Yeah!! even i have come across multiple issue with MAC and Cisco.. these are the below settings which i normally do on the cisco gears and most of the times this solved the issue..
on the IOS AP disable Aironet Extentions and set the poer local and ofdm to max
no dot11 extension aironet

On the WLC, disable Aironet IE..

Elements and Apple OS

I have Elements 10 on disc that came with a trial version of Premier Elements.
I am considering changing from Windows to a Mac and note that you commence the installation with disc 3 rather than 1. Does this mean that both Elements and Premier are installed and if so can you buy the Premier licence at a later date if you subsequently desire.
Customer Support cannot answer these questions! Why do they exist?

Yes you can install the trial of PRE10 but adobe is only selling the current version PRE12. You may be able to find and old version of PRE10 from an on line retailer which would enable you to get the licence, however older versions are no longer supported.
If you are getting a Mac, you may wish to consider buying the current combo (usually cheaper than buying the products separately especially from sites like Amazon and other on-line shops) for Photoshop Elements 12 + Premiere Elements 12. Both the applications are 64 bit on the mac which should give improved performance.
I would suggest you download the free trial for each product (use the links below) and if you decide to keep them after 30 days of free usage you can purchase the boxed version from your favourite reseller and licence the applications without any further installation being necessary. The beauty of buying the boxed product is that the DVD’s enable you to install on both Windows and Mac. You are permitted two activations for each product.

Service Template: Automatic Machine Rebooting and Script Restarting via Exit Code in Script Application

My question is on Script Applications in
Service Templates:
In VM Templates, in the Application Configuration tab, one can add a Script Application. This can be a PowerShell script, a batch script, etc.
For each Script Application, it is possible (via the Advanced options) to make the
machine reboot when the script exits with one of three
exit codes: 1641, 3010 and 3011.
Problem:
For PowerShell or PS scripts, if I use ‘exit 3010’, the machine should reboot but it doesn’t…
Bad workaround:
Use a batch script which calls the PS script. Then, exit out of the batch script using ‘exit $LASTEXITCODE’. This works. The machine reboots.
I can’t use the workaround. Is there a way to do this using just the PS script?

In fact yes.
You actually want SCVMM to orchestrate the reboot by sending the proper exit code. Otherwise SCVMM gets all weird about things.
It is in the advanced settings for the script and / or command.
You need to make sure that your script tosses the 3011 or 3010 on exit.
I do it with the 3011:
# Exit 3011
[Environment]::Exit(“3011”)
In the XML you will find this:
<vmmst:RebootExitCodeRegex>{1641}|{3010}|{3011}</vmmst:RebootExitCodeRegex>
But you do not want to enable restarting the script on each reboot or you will find yourself in a loop.

Final cut pro 4 and Apple Mac Pro

I intend to buy a new Apple Mac Pro 2.66GHz computer.
Will I be able to work with Final Cut Pro 4 ? and After Effects 6.5 ?

FCP 4, not really. You need FCP 5.1.
AE 6.5 - perhaps. It will run under Rosetta and there has to be a whole bunch of info on tweaking the settings to get it to run reasonably.
fwiw - Adobe just announced the CS3 suite which will include a UB version of AE. You will likely want to go for that.

Iphone 4S and Apple Mac

I have just purchased an Iphone 4S. When I plug into my Apple Mac the phone is not recognised on Itunes. All I get is an error message saying that the Iphone needs to have Itunes Software version 10.3 or higher. It doesn't recognise the phone to check the software on the Mac.
If I plug it into my windows laptop then it says that the software is version 6 and that this is up to date.
Any ideas how I get the phone software to work on the Apple Mac ?

iTunes 10.6.1 will not sync to an iPhone running iOS 6, as all new iPhones now do. Upgrade to iTunes 10.7 or iTunes 11 and see if that corrects the problem.

Bluetooth, N80 and Apple Mac's...

I am currently unable to use the bluetooth function in boths directions between my phone and my Mac, not for lack of trying....
I undersdtand that there is a new firmware version that addresses this but I have no idea how to access this.
I have spoken to the CPW people and they all say "we have not received training as yet so are unable to help, we can send it off to Nokia, but don't expect it back in any time under 2 weeks"...
There are some other posts in forums that refer to upgrading the firmware yourself, but no specific instructions...

Exit Code: 7 - installation of CS5 on new hard drive

Hey there,
after exchanging a broken secondary hard drive without a proper deinstallation/deactivation of my cs5 production premium, i have trouble now with the new installion on a new hard drive in Windows.
First thing i tried was deleting all CS5-related entries from the registry, but that didn't help.

I am running windows 8.1 and I have purchased PS Elements 13 on DVD but Icannot install the Software, I get as far as 2% on the installation and I get an Exit Code 15 with ERROR; Media DB Error : 6

I have also started my PC in safemode with Network enabled, as recommended by adobe, but to no avail! I just get to the 2% installation stage again, with the same error.
I have checked all the system requirements, all is OK. I am not a techie, I just like photography! but it now seems to me that Adobe like making the simple installation of a software programs impossible for normal computer users, can any body help or offer a simple solution! or do I have to return my software to seller again!
