Elements 9 not completing installation

Ihave photoshop elements 9 and it will not complete the installation. Almost finishes then I get a message saying that the installation was interupted and it erases what I have down, the icon on the desktop disappears.  I had the company in India---Support Mart-- try to install and they could not also.  Can this disk be sent back to Adobe for a new

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having a devil of a time installing Windows 7 on my 27" Late 2010 iMac. I'm using the latest version of Bootcamp and a brand new copy of Windows 7. I'm following all the Boot Camp instructions, create the partition (I want at least 150gb), insert the Windows 7 disk and install Windows 7. I choose the partition, format it, then click install. It goes through all the installation steps up until "Completing Installation...", where it will hang.
    I've tried now installing Windows seven times. I've redone the partition. I read somewhere that it could be hanging on usb drivers. While I don't have an Apple mouse, I've tried installing it with just my Apple branded keyboard and it still won't install. I've defragged my hard drive, still hangs. I've crossed my fingers. I've cursed at it. Nothing seems to work.

    The disks that come with PCs most often include only the drivers and applications required by the PC they were made for. You can not use these disks to install on other than the original hardware.

  • Apps not completing installation. Stuck midway.....

    Hi.
    I upgraded to 7.1.1.
    Some apps are now showing 'waiting' on their icon and are unusable. The 'waiting' icon is when you download an app and it is installing but not completed.
    I tried uninstall and reinstall but still the same.
    It also includes Skype and Tumblr apps which are frequently used ones.

    Ok, some updates. I was forced to erase my hard drive, to do a clean installation of Yosemite. Fortunally enough, before that I could access in safe mode to the content of my hard drive and copy it. So, except few files and softwares I have lost nothing really important.
    But if you think that the issue is over, just wait.
    So I made a clean installation of Yosemite and re-install all my softwares one by one and put back my music, pictures, etc. So I didn't restore, I made everything brand new.
    So, everything worked apparently fine for 1 day, but now my almost new MacBook Pro (got it in February) freezes randomly when I tried to open finder windows, when I start itunes, when I tried to connect to Internet and even when I do nothing. I re-started in Recovery Mode to see what's going on and had to repair my disk (!!!)
    But the issue is not settled yet. The computer freezes all the time and it seems to be due to SystemUIServer. Anyway, I tried everything: repair permissions, remove the last installations (Eduroam, i.e. wifi connection for academics). Nothing helps. The Mac cannot be used. It gets stuck all the time despite the clean installation.
    Now, my desktop does not even load...
    If you have Mavericks, stay with it. Believe me. Everything could work fine for you of course, but if it doesn't, you are ahead of days and days of working your way out of the problem while spending money to buy back lost softwares, or new hardware (such as external hard drive), etc., etc. Personally, I have lost so far 5 days of work and it is not over... Which is a little bit too much for a regular/begnin/normal update.

  • Creative Cloud Installer does not complete installation

    Hey Folks,
    I've been trying to install Creative Cloud, but the install stops mid way through installing the Adobe Application Manager. The Adobe Application Manager folder appears in the Utilities Folder, but has nothing in it. I then get this message.
    I've tried Uninstalling Adobe Creative Cloud, but even the Uninstaller hangs in the end and the window wont disappear.
    I've used the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and then tried reinstalling after restart.
    I've tried installing the stand alone version of the Adobe Application Manager with the same results. i.e. the the installer stops short.
    I also tried starting a new admin account on my computer and tried installing CC with the same results.
    As per advice from another post I tried changing the Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder name.
    I've also tried an exorcism, pouring boiling water into my lap and waving chicken feet over my computer, but no dice!!!
    Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm on Mac 10.8.2.

  • TS3212 I have a different CD DVD program, and I don't want to delete it, and ITunes is telling me another program is doing the CD DVD program, so it is not completing installation?

    Since this other program I use for CD copying and DVD copying, or as we say back up, I don't want to delete it, but I Tunes will notcomplete with me using this, and I don't know what do do.
    It stops for example when I want to update my IPod Touch 64GB to add ISO5.
    Any suggestions?

    What does this have to do with an iPod Touch?
    iTunes honestly could care less what CD/DVD recording program you have installed.

  • Photoshop Elements 6 not opening jpegs following adjustment.

    I am getting the following error message: Photoshop Elements could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete).
    This error message has occured with images that I have imported and renamed in Bridge and to which I have made adjustments in Photoshop Elements 6.  The images which I have renamed but not resized or adjusted or touched in any way are opening without a problem. Whatever the problem it is doesn't seem to be anything to do with re-naming. This problem has occured previously but because it involved only a small number of files I just re-did them and the problem did not re-occur. On this occasion it's 40+ files so it's time to find out the cause if possible. Help would be appreciated. Thanks - Victor

    Your computer may have insufficient RAM. When adding text you are temporarily increasing the file size by adding a new Layer (the text layer) which requires more memory.
    Try this:
    Add your text, then click Layer >>Flatten image. Then save and press Ctrl+W to close the file. Then move to your next open file and repeat.

    If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

    I did not get a response yesterday so I'll try again.   PSE9 will not complete installation, error message stating cannot complete due to "Shared Technologies".  The installation starts to rollback.

    Check if there is any Adobe process like Bridge.exe etc running inside the windows Task Manager? If yes, then end those processes and then try to install again.

  • After Successfull Installation of Photoshop Element 3.0 On Mac OS 10.6.8, Photoshop Elements does not start saying that personalization information is invalid or missing

    I have installed Photoshop Elements 3.0 from original disk on my MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.6.8. The installation was successful. However, when I try to run Photoshop Elements, it does not start, with the message "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information". I uninstalled Adobe Elements and deleted all Adobe files from both the System Library Preferences and from the User Library Preference. Then tried the installation again. The installation was successful, but the application fails to start with the same missing/invalid-personalization-information message.
    Please advise

    I am sorry Invalid Personalization but Photoshop Elements 3.0 requires a PowerPC processor or Rosetta installed in order to function.  You can find the system requirements at System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements.
    You may want to try following the steps listed at Mac OS X 10.6: If you need to install Rosetta to attempt to install Rosetta.  That may still not resolve your licensing issue however as the application was also designed for Mac OS 10.2.8 and 10.3.

    Photoshop Elements 10 won't complete the installation process and it won't uninstall using the uninstall utility (I get an error message).  So I tried deleting all files manually.  However, when I re-insert Disc #1 it only offers to uninstall Elements 10 - which it won't do (same error message).  So I can't go forward (install) or backward (uninstall).  My computer is a Dell Studio 1555 with 4 GB of RAM, 64-bit OS, running on Vista Home Premium.  I have 180 GB free of 283 GB on the C drive.

    Sorry, but I don't understand. PSE has nothing at all to do with creative cloud. If you're saying that you can't save work in any program, that's probably something wrong with your OS X installation. If you just are having a problem in PSE, the first thing to do is to go to the editor's preferences>general, click this button, and restart the editor:

    I'm having an issue with installing Elements 13 (Windows 64-bit), as well. It appears as though it has successfully installed. The Organizer opens and displays all of my pictures, but when I click to edit a photo the trouble starts. The Editor asks me to sign in to my Adobe account and then presents the EULA for agreement, and then does not proceed any further. I don't get any error notifications or anything, it just stops as though it were all done.
    Any thoughts?

  • Installation of adobe air is not completing on windows 7

    I am trying to install adobe air version 15 on my Toshiba laptop with Windows 7.  When installation starts the Adobe AIR Setup screen freezes and installation does not complete. I cancelled the install, but the Adobe AIR Setup screen persists and just says "Cancelling". Trying to upgrade AIR as have been having issues with Windows 7 after installing th 2014 Jaqui Lawson Advent calendar.  (Windows will not shut down using Shutdown button, and Ctrl-Alt-Del does not bring up task manager anymore).     I understand the frustration, believe me, I really do.  Unfortunately, while we do thoroughly test installers we do run into system specific issues from time to time.  I do my best to help users, going out of my way to do desktop sharing sessions (at all times of the day and night to accomidate our global user base), creating repair scripts, etc.  But you are correct, sometimes it does get technical and we do require the installer log to figure out what might be failing.  I apologize if I wasn't able to solve your problem in the past, if you can point me to a post where I didn't follow through I'd be happy to re-read it and see if we can make progress.
