Elements 9 Photomerge problem.

I have just tried the photomerge panorama option in Elements 9 and every time I attempt to use it the program shuts down. There is no problem as far as my laptop is concerned, I have a new Toshiba Satellite. I had no problem with this option on my old Dell desk top and Elements 8. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Premier Elements 9 operating problems

I am just getting around to using Premiere Elements 9. I installed it and Photshop Elements 9 at one time several months ago and have used Photshop Elements with no problems.
A. When I start Premiere Elements and get to the Welcome Screen. I select "New Project" after a short period the New Project Window pops up. I can not enter data into the window. If I close that window, and go to File, New, Project. The New Project window opens again with the Name box Highlighted with "New Project". I give it a new name after which nothing can be entered in the other boxes and "OK" can not be selected.
B. At this point, I uninstalled Premiere Elements then reinstalled it with my installation disk. It promps to shut down the computer after disk 1 whick I did. After rebooting the computer, I again went to the welcome screen of Premier Elements and select "New Project". The new project window opens with the Name Box Highlighted with "New Project". I give it a new name and I can now select "OK". The program now opens. A box appears indicatiing there is limited content and asks to install additonal content with the content disk after which I then inserted the disk 2. It asks to select "Yes" but I can not select it. Therefore the Content Installation Disk will not install at this point.
C. At this point, I close the program and then Installed the Premiere Elements Content Disk. I restart the program and at the "Welcome Screen" I select "New Project". The program responds exactly as in the paragraph A. shown above with no access to the program.
D. I again uninstalled and then reinstalled Premiere Elements. At the completetion of the installation of disk 1, instead of shutting down and rebooting. I now install the content from disk 2. I now reboot the computer and go to the Welcome Screen and select "New Project". The program responds exactly as in paragraph A. above with no access to the program.
I am at a loss to figure out how to get this program to work. For your information, I am using windows 7, 64-bit on a Dell XPS 8100 desktop computer.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
Take a look at this ARTICLE, which starts with a checklist to get PrE working best. It next goes into a lot of troubleshooting steps to tune up one's OS, and computer.
I would also look into your dispaly driver, i.e. the video card's driver. What make/model of video card do you have installed?
What is the installed video driver's number/date?
Have you gone to the Dell driver download page, to see what the latest driver is? If not, that would be my first step, and download and install that driver.

Elements 10 recompose problem

Hi I have an Elements 10 recompose problem. I unlock the background layer, choose the recompose tool, mark the elements I want removed red, but when I squeeze the picture together, the red marks immediately disappear and those formerly marked red elements do not disappear. Can anyone help? Thank you so much, I really need this feature, Thomas.

I'd first try resetting the Recompose Tool by clicking on the small white downturned arrow (far left just above the toolbox)
and then click on Reset Tool.
If that doen't work then resetting the pse 10 editor preferences might.
Hold down the Shift+Alt+Ctrl (Shift+Cmd+Option mac) keys just after starting the launch of the pse 10 editor.
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the photoshop elements settings file.
Press Yes because you do.

Premiere Elements 12 output problem

I am having problems outputting my project. Different errors messages. One says transcoding error. Another time it says export error. Other times it crashes. And then the program won't even open.
Any suggestions?

First, thank you for your prompt response. This is the first time I have used Premiere Elements 12. I don't seem to have a manual for the software.
The product was bought with my new computer. I am using windows 8.1 (64-bit) with Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz. I have 12 GB of installed RAM. I have 1TB hard drive of which this is the first project I done.
I have checked to make sure that I am getting all Windows and Microsoft Updates. I even manually went to Windows Update and installed the optional updates.
The project is a 20 min. video using mostly photos and 2 small video clips. The project is saved in its own folder.
When I go to the timeline in Expert view I do see an orange-yellow line above the timeline. It runs the whole length of the project.
I understand from reading the FAQ's that each photo cannot be larger than 1000 x 750 pixels. I will check that and reduce their size. Is there anything else that I need to do?
Where can I find a manual?

A lot depends on a lot.
What operating system are you using? What processor do you have and how much RAM and how much free space is on your hard drive?
How long is your project? What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?
Have you ensured that your project file is saved to its own folder, with no other project files in this folder?
When you add your video to your timeline in Expert view, do you see a yellow-orange line above the clips, along the top of the timeline? This indicates a mismatch between project settings and video specs.
If you are on a Windows computer, have you set up your computer to get both Windows and Microsoft Updates -- and have you manually gone to Windows Update and ensured you have even the optional updates that don't install automatically?
When did you last run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter?

Elements 12 photomerge-Panorama

When selecting Photomerge Panorama in Elements 12, program crashes with error message "editor 12 has stopped working".
Was working fine until last week then suddenly this started happening every time I attempt to run Panorama. Other Photomerge functions appear to be working okay, just a problem with Panorama.
Using Dell 8700 system running windows 8.1 in 64 bit mode. Have 24GB memory and lot of empty disc space.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Why is Adobe continuing to ignore the many forum threads inquiring about this same problem? IMO, this issue continuing year-after-year represents irresponsible decision-making on the part of their Change Control Board / maintenance management, for such a fundamental operation as photo-stitching.
In particular, when the same two images can be merged successfully using any of a number of separate photo-stitch apps from other vendors, yet crashes Adobe Photoshop, then ipso facto, where do YOU think the blame lies?
In my opinion as a software programmer, an attempt to perform such a basic operation as merging two images, regardless of their size, should NOT cause a frickin' crash. Programmatically, this speaks to (a) poor memory management, and (b) terrible error-detection/handling/reporting.
This problem continues with the latest OS updates, the latest driver updates, the latest Adobe Photoshop updates/versions ... Crashing Adobe Photoshop is an unacceptable outcome for such a fundamental operation, even if one is working with photos that are truly of larger-than-normal size. It's COMPLETELY inexcusable when the images in question are of standard sizes produced by current-day camera technology. The workaround of resizing the original photos is an unacceptable option for someone who is attempting to maximize a print size without resolution loss.

Photoshop Elements 4 Animation Problem

Hey everyone.
Sorry for posting this in the iMac forum, but there really was no other forum for my problem. I am using Photoshop Elements 4, and whenever I try to save an animated gif, I cannot edit the frame delay or loop options, they will not respond to anything, but EVERYTHING else will. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and repairing permissions, and everthing else I can think of. Please help!

Hmm... Well, this *****. It's wierd, I got it to animate succcessfully once, but only once, then I couldn't again. Just one more reason to wait for and buy 5 Universal when it comes out I suppose. Thanks for your help.

Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Effects Problem - HELP

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 11, and when I use effects the footage ends up speeding up, repeating itself, and just not staying the same as it originally was. Does this have to do with what type of footage it is. I am using screen-captures that I got when using Bandicam. If anyone could help me with this problem, it would be greatly appriciated, thanks.

I use an older file conversion program, DigitalMedia Converter 2.7, but it is NOT freeware. Also, Deskshare, the publisher, has released newer versions.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Language Problem

Hi all!
I've a problem with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor.
I bought Elements 10 Editor from the app store (I've a Mac) some months ago and I chose the english language during the installation.
Today it happened that, when I opened it, I found it totally in German! How can I restore english language?

This has been happening a lot to people who upgrade to Yosemite. Here's what adobe suggested a couple of years ago when it was happening to a few people:

Adobe Acrobat Elements Encountered an Problem and Needs To Close....

I have had problems with right clicking on documents and then choosing 'convert to PDF' or convert to 'PDF and Email' - the error message that I am getting are: For:
'Convert to PDF' - Adobe Acrobat Elements has encountered a problem and needs to close
and
'Convert to PDF and Email' - I get the Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close
What can I do to try to fix this?

Acrobat Version is 8.1.7
OS - Windows XP
It works if I open the document and then print to the Adobe PDF Printer, but I love being able to use the right click function! It use to work, but all of a sudden I get this error!

Premiere Elements 9 technical problem - please help

I have very serious problem with my Premiere Elements 9 for Mac.
This program is turning off over and over again.
I have started to prepare my new project and during the playback oraz during the operations on texts Premiere turns off very often.
It wasn't huge problem for me because I was using save very often but the main problem is that now I can not create any DVD nor export this project to any video file because during the encoding process Premiere is turning off again (usually between 65-95% of the process of encoding)
I tried to open this project on my PC with Windows with Premiere Elements 7 but 7 shows this file is not compatibile with previous version. So I installed ver. 9 on Windows (I bought Mac/Windows) and again Premiere Elements 9 for Windows has shown that my mac file is not compatibile??
I was trying to find any bug fix files on Internet but I haven't found.
Can anybody help me? It's 4 pm here and I need to burn my dvds invitation of my son's birthday for tomorrow and I have stucked.
Here are some additional information:
Adobe Premiere Elements 9 Mac/Windows edition (seperate installing dvds) - legally purchased
Latest MacOs - orignal
No external codecs
No illigal programms
Only legal software
I will appreciate you help.

I found the source of problem
I mentioned that my problems have started when I had added text so I removed all text made by Elements text tool (I noticed that after rendering these object was still with red line instead of green).
So now everything is ok so I'll prepare all texts as a psd transparent files and it will be great
So it is Adobe's error - I hope they will prepare some fix for it.
Anyway, thank you guys for help and support.
I hope I'll finish my project this night because two unsleeping nights are to much for me

Elements 13 disc problem installation

Hi, I have trialled free Elements 13 (which is still valid for 2-3 weeks) and decided to buy the disc version. It does not install or give out any message at all regards the problem.The disc is heard revolving inside. Contacted Store where I bought computer who went over many tasks which all veered to no probs with comp. He suggested since I have trial version at moment just add the serial sequence of my bought disc and all should be well in registering He also thought new disc could be faulty which I find hard to believe. So do I return disc or is there a solution please?

Thank you for quick response, I am on Windows8.1 and use Google Chrome ,followed your lead to optical disk .No Change. Because of Elements disk not being recognised at all by computer and testing out other dvd's and cd's all to be working, I now have to believe the disc is at fault. I tried it out on neighbours comp and is the same- dead . No messages just the same sound of it revolving in drawer. Shows up as totally empty in devices and drives. Phoned again to where I bought computer and they came to same conclusion again after proving all ok with comp.. I now am going to send it back get refund and download online. You say it should be straight forward to enter my serial number but unless I am on wrong page it goes towards me having to purchase again which is not on. I will wait for your guidance on this matter before returning disc.

xsl:element missing node problem

I was reading Re: re:how to use Apache's FOP (getting NPE) on the Oracle forums and noticed Steve M. said something about not being able to find nodes that <xsl:element> has created. I am currently having this problem when doing double transformations on documents. We would like to eliminate redundant style sheets but removing the table name prefix from our column names.
ex:
SZRADAP_PIDM and SZBRECR_PIDM have the same data and the rest of the columns in the two table are named in the same fasion. I have a simple style sheet that removes the table name prefix.

It works just fine but I would then like to include this .xsql in another .xsql for transfomation by a stylesheet that looks for the table non-specific tags. As was stated in the article I cannot find the nodes that have been created by the <xsl:element> function. I cannot readily use xsl:copy so I seem to be stuck. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well I seem to have found the problem ... I was using an old version of the XDK where this was an apparent bug. I've upgraded to the latest production XDK and it's all fixed.

Photomerge problem in PSE11

I am working my way through book PSE11 Classroom in a Book. I am at the chapter dealing with Photomerge. I chose the photo's followed the instructions choosing Enhance- Photomerge- Photomerge Panorama. Immediately a warning came up Error 19: Invalid source format: Error in line 0, at character offset586, in {. The programme then freezes and I have to Force Quit to shut it down. I am running PSE11 on a Mac os system Snow Leopard have had no problems up until now. I have also completed the same exercise on my laptop running windows with no problems. I think I found the best solution for this file (other than going over the seams with a partially transparent rubber stamp). I unchecked blend images together box in the interactive layout, and then blended each of the 4 sections two at a time (the top two, them merged them and auto blended the bottom right quarter, then did the same to the last left hand corner bit. I had to undo, then I repositioned the sections a couple times (after one section turned a lighter shade; or had a white line between it and the section it was meant to join) ...and then I retried the auto blend. It finally worked.

Roundtripping to Elements 9 - Photomerge

I recently downloaded the Elements 9 trial, and I wanted to try out the Photomerge Scene cleaner.
So I selected two photos in Lightroom and chose "edit in" Photoshop Elements. So far so good, two photos showed up in the project bin. Then I figured out how to merge them, though I think there is a bug somewhere in Elements 9, because the interface for the Scene cleaner was all messed up, I basically had one shot to select the (paint over) the portion of the photo I wanted to replace and there were no other tools/options on the right hand side like I've seen in PSE6. Anyway, that's another issue, for another forum... I got it work (and it really did a great job btw).
My question is, how I do get the newly created composite back into Lightroom automatically? Whenever I take a photo into PSE9, once I am done my edits, I click save (not save as...) and I am offered options for the save and usually if it's a single photo, it updates the xxx-edit.tif in LR and everything is tickety-boo, but since this was basically a brand new photo, it didn't go into my catalog automatically, I ended up saving it in the folder containing the source images, and then did an "import" via LR of it.
What is the best method for dealing with this situation? Is there a way to save the new file and get it to stack with one of the source images in LR?

I think this is how LR is designed and you are correct in treating the final edit as an import.
Once you have finished the Photo-Merge in PSE9 the image will not resemble either of the two source images, so logically it should not stack with them.
