Elements 9 will not load

I have elements 9 loaded on two computers running on windows 7. It runs fine on one and I receive an error on the second which says Photo Shop  Elements has stopped working. I have tried reloading the program with the same results. The organizer seems to work fine. I have tried to restore to previous version of windows but I find I have no restore points. Anyone having the same problem or any advice

See if the Windows Event Log has more specific info:  Start...Control Panel...Administrative Tools...Event Viewer.  Expand the "Windows Logs" folder in the left panel, and select the "Application" log.  Look for any items with a red icon and that refer to PSE.  Copy the event information into a message here.

  • ELEMENTS 12 WILL NOT LOAD

Elements 12 will not load. I get a windows dialog box that tells me a problem caused it not to load and they are searching for a solution that never eventuates. Is it possible to delete the programme and reload from adobe or is there another solution?

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
    C: >> Program Files (x86) >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 12
Within the Photoshop Elements 12 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor (the application not the Adobe shortcut)
Select that file and click Next.
    Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by right-clicking on the new desktop icon, bypassing the welcome screen. Try choosing “Run As Administrator” That often improves stability.

  • Adobe Elements 6 will not load

Several times I have installed, then uninstalled this program for the same reason, namely, it will not load. For a few times after the reinstall, it works okay, then stops. I have gone into "Services" and restarted the "active file monitor" but it doesn't help.
    What do you suggest?

Are you able to launch PSE-Welcome screen?

  • Premiere Elements 12 will not load

I cannot get Adobe Premiere Elements 12 to load. I am running Windows 7 64bit. It has opened before, but it will not launch at all. I have tried switching to just opening Elements directly and not going through the welcome screen. I have tried running as administrator. I have verified that I have the latest video driver from the manufacturer. I have also deleted the folder at C:\Users\Doug\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements\12.0 as suggested in another post.

    ATR,
I looked at the logs and nothing strikes me with any real information. It does have one error that says "The program PDApp.exe version 7.0.0.426 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed." So yes, there are some event logs, but I nothing that gives me an idea of what the problem is.
Here is another event error, perhaps it will mean something to you...

Yes, I have the latest version of Quicktime. (No, I had not previously verified that.)
I have not used this program for several weeks and I do not have a restore point that is older than a few days, so I doubt it would do any good to roll back. Plus, I did install several windows updates today to bring everything up to date, including the video driver. I performed the windows updates after I began trying to solve this PrE12 issue, so I doubt they are the problem.
I have not attempted to uninstall the program yet. Am I to that point already? Also, I am not familiar with "ccleaner."

When attempting to open a saved prel the Elements states 100% loaded but the program becomes non responsive.  Window 7 system.  It will not open a large portion of the auto saved files.  Everything was normal until 8:30.

  • Login opens each time but elements 12 will not load

I loaded Elements 12 box version over the weekend.  When I try to open it the initial login opens each time and after entering the correct ID and password
it closes and Elements does not open.
This occurs from the Elements/Organizer pop up, from within Organizer, in the Adobe folder using the Elements 12.exe file and with administrator mode.

  • Premiere Elements 9 will not load workspace

    Hi all,
I have had pre 9 on this computer for some time now and have just had an issue in the last month or so.
welcome screen loads as per normal and allows new project or open project to be selected.
once either of these is selected the workspace opens but is empty with no selector, timeline or preview.
the menu bar is at the top of the workspace, however only some of the selections in the drop down list can be clicked on, the est are greyed out.
the ones that can be clicked are the standard file menu and help menu and restore workspace.
the deactivate button cannot be selected nor can register or update. I am running the latest version.
i have the latest quictime and all drivers are up to date.
    i am running windows 7 64 bit
as stated above, this program has run on this machine before, I have 4 gig of Ram and plenty of hard drive space (1.5 tb free)
    Thanks

    YNT-08
    Thanks for the update.
The Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file will continue to be regenerated.
A just in case note...Premiere Elements 9 should be run as the 9.0.1 Update which can be accessed via Help Menu/Updates (if that is available under the circumstances) or from an online download (do not even need Premiere Elements opened for doing)
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4929
Since you wrote "....updated to 9.03...", I thought that I had better ask in case that was not a typing matter.
Things to consider, rule in or out....
    a. Double check to make sure that your video card driver is up to date according to the information at the web site of the manufacturer of the card.
    b. A while back there were two Premiere Elements "strange looking" workspaces. We had them doing the video card driver update drill. What that turned out to be was the use of the High Contrast Themes in Windows 7. As I recall, a switch to Basic took care of the issue for both. Any chance that could be involved in your case?
Please review the above and let us know if any of it had impact on your present situation.
Thanks again for the follow up.

  • Adobe photoshop elements 8  and premier elements 8 will not load with security numbers.

purchase HP computer in 2011. hard drive crashed. replaced for free by HP.
but software never reloaded on computer.
computer now works and I cannot load adobe software that was  never used.
Office did load with help of computer geek today.

Go into the program files (program files(x86) for a 64-bit system), find the Elements 8 folder and within that Plug-ins>ImportModules and delete the Adobe TWAIN plugin. (You may have trouble scanning directly into the editor after doing this)

  • Photoshop Elements 10 will not load

I have just purchased Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10 from COSTCO. When I tried to install it Disc 1 does nothing.
Opened Windows Explorer and clicked on my DVD drive. All data on Disc 1 appeared. I double clicked on Autoplay. Nothing
I then opened the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 file folder and double clicked on the 29620 kb Installer Package. Again, Nothing.
Any clues as to what is not working as it should be?

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. With Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5450 @ 1.66 GHZ
Yes, there is a DVD symbol on the front of my optical drive.
I did read Install | Premiere Elements | Photoshop Elements | Windows | Mac OS.
    Tried all recommendations. Still nothing.
When I try Windows Explorer Run, I get a message saying, "a device attached to the system is not functioning". I can not imagine what the non functioning device is?
When I open Disc 1's "Read Me" folder, all documents show up as Firefox Documents and I am unable to open any of them.

  • Adoge Premiere Elements 11 will not load

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 11 from Dell to install on my new Dell XPS One 27, which runs Windows 8 Pro.  After inserting the Adobe DVD into my disc drive, my computer would not read the Adobe DVD, and I am unable to eject the Adobe DVD.  Any suggestions?

    1.       Thanks, Nikhil.  I followed your directions, installed my Adobe license, and I’m up and running.
    2.      A Dell tech remotely entered my registry and edited some code.  This allowed me to remove the DVD.
    3.      My problem is solved.

  • My elements 10 will not load

Trying to install my new Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 dvd but all that is happening is a box is appearing with what the dvd contains but is then doing nothing else. Please help

Sorry did not give enough info before. I have a Mac Pro (Mac OS X) Version 10.5.8. According to the Adobe Photoshop pack I received I only needed to use Disc 3 of the three that were supplied. I duly inserted this but all that I had on the screen was a box that told me what the disc contained. I did delve into the various bits and found "install" but it actually did nothing. I checked on the adobe web site and it seemed to show a box that appeared for installing that is not evident on my computer. I must add that I am not particularly a computer expert but I did use the same Apple equipment at Sky News using FCP (I have edited for about 30 years but have always had IT as back up as I initially started on film) I hope this is of some use as I would really like to get started on this package
    Many thanks
    William

  • Thumbnails will not load in elements 12 organizer, using windows 8.1

The thumbnails will not load (hourglass icon appears on each photo) on Elements 12 using Windows 8.1.  I have updated the Elements to Core Version 12.1.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm sure that when I close the browser in either OS before switching to the other, the following two conditions are true in the Advanced tab of the Firefox Preferences menu:
    1) "Use autoscrolling" is enabled (with a check mark)
    2) "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup" is disabled (no check mark)
The autoscrolling feature allows you to scroll by holding down the middle mouse button and moving the mouse up and down. The extension you linked to, ScrollyFox, enables scrolling by clicking a button in the Firefox UI, which is quite a different feature. So unfortunately the problems still remain.

  • Photoshop Elements 5.0 will not load

Hi, After using PE5.0 for a year with Vista the program will not load now. When opening editor it stops loading when 'searching for plugins'.

    I would go to:
    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Editor
and inside that folder delete the two below files
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 Prefs.psp
    and
    PluginCache.psp
Before doing the above make sure pse 5 isn't running and hopefully when you start the pse 5 editor things will be okay.
