Elements compatibility Mac Laptop to Windows Work station?

Currently have a windows based workstation and a windows based laptop. Considering buying a mac laptop and upgrading to PS Elements on eack computer.
1 Does anyone work with both Windows and mac? (Using PS Elements)
1.1 If so, any compatibility problems?
1.2 Any poor performance or problems using this windows mac combination?

To follow up, I have good news and bad news:
I reformatted my external USB LaCie hard drive to FAT32 using a program called SwissKnife
http://www.compuapps.com/ Both the Mac laptop and Win XP desktop could then exchange and read and write the same files....
But I did a shoot, moved the image files from the SD cards to the internal HD on the MBP laptop, imported them into LR, did some minimal editing, exported as catalog to the external hard drive, then tried to import to the desktop and....got the dreaded Unknown Error.
So for the moment I am still stumped.

Unable to connect mac laptops and windows laptops on network at same time

Hi I have a wrt110 router which has a wired windows desktop attached. I also have several mac laptops connected wirelessly as well as an hp printer ,video game system blue ray player ,ipod,iphone and kindle all which connect with no problem. I have a pc laptop (Dell) which can see and connect to my network but does not connect to the internet . I tried disabling and even temporarily removing the antivirus software plus disabling the firewall but with no success. I am at my wits end because I need the pc laptop for work. The internet will connect to the pc laptop when I hard connect it into the router.
DSL through Earthlink .
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Try this. Disable IPv6 on all Win 7 computers under LAN properties for both wired and wireless adapters. Reboot computers. Leave the MAC's turned off for now. Try to connect all the devices except the MAC's. If successful connect the MAC's and if they have issue's, disable IPv6 on those now too. Make sure the WRT110 on on firmware 1.0.04 or above.

Clarity on Mac laptops and Windows

I've been reading a few posts and now feel confused. Could I beg indulgence and ask what is the deal with the intel laptops and windows?
Can both the Macbook and the Pro run (i.e. boot) straight to windows? If so which versions of windows?
I've been running Virtual PC and Windows XP and it runs like a real dog - practically unusable. I am keen to get a new Mac laptop but really want to be sure I can boot into windows as well. (Sadly most accounting software is PC based, especially in Canada!).
Your help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, it can boot into windows natively, thus using no emulation or virtualization. Supported are Windows XP SP2 versions (home or pro).

I have a CS6 license for windows but want to use the same license on my desktop Windows PC and my laptop mac, is it possible?

Only if you run Windows in Parallels or Bootcamp on the Mac and run CS6 in the virtual Windows environment.
If not, the other option is to join the Cloud.

Ok well l am brand new at this mac thing, l'm a student and l live with another 2 students. My room mate and l both got an iBook G4 literally a day ago. I also got an airport Extreme router. There is a Microsoft computer with bigpond cable and l'm trying to set up the airport extreme and failing miserably. So the green light flashes when l plug in the ethernet to it, but then my microsoft internet connection fails and l'm yet to successfully get internet on my laptop.
I'm a little confused and any help, and l mean ANY would be greatly appreciated.

Allright. I'm using 10.4.11 (Tiger) on an iBook G4. In all my windows that open, the vertical scrollbar that appears on the right-side has the 'up' and 'down' buttons situated at the bottom, together, on top of one another. Can I configure it to have the 'page up' button at the top and 'page down' button at the bottom or both buttons at the top? Second, can I configure which side of a window title bar the 'Minimize', 'Maximize', and 'Close' buttons appear on, say left-side or right-side?
I know, I know ... the whole idea behind owning/using a Mac is to "Think Different" and believe me, I love my Mac, but sometimes I also "like what I like and like it the way I like it!"

Photoshop Elements 6 Mac Trial - License stopped working

Hi,
I have just downloaded the PSE6 Mac trial and when I installed it, everything worked perfectly. But when I try to open it it says the license for this product ahs stopped working, and that I should try reinstalling it. I have tried reinstalling it, deleting all the files and trying again but it doesn't seem to work...
Any ideas please ?

Can you share the exact error message which you are getting on launch?
I believe the last step where you are is getting this error on launch.
Try following the steps as mentioned below from this step:
1. Uninstall PSE 6 Mac from the \Applications\utilities\Adobe Installer\%PSE 6 installer%
2. Run the CS3 clean up script as suggested by Barbara in the link above.
3. Create a new Admin user and login in the machine using that user.
4. Install PSE 6 Mac again.
5. Launch the application.
If it launches fine, we are good. If it gives the "Licensing has Stopped working" error then try this:

Installing elements 12 mac 10.7.5 working now, whew

I had trouble (3rd installation a charm) PE12 on MacBook OSX10.7.5. I had trial version of PE10 provisionally installed for an important image. But that was not the issue. I have installation debris ranging from CS 2, 3, and 4 and still use an old Dreamweaver but PS went away when I updated system (why I went with PE).
Anyway, the installation installs an ALIAS in the app folder that did not work at all. No PE12 editor appeared.
I finally searched for "Editor.app" and found the actual application and added to the dock.
Very frustrating and time consuming.

CS6 - need to install on a Mac laptop and Windows desktop

I am entitled to two installations for my CS6; however when I try to use my serial number on my Windows desktop, it says it's invalid.

Standalone retail serials are platform specific. What you are trying to do is simply not possible.

Cant install photoshop on mac but in windows works fine, asks serial number.

I bought cc one year license two weeks ago but my creativecloud application installer says trial over and doesnt let me use the apps without giving a serial number which i havent gotten.
In windows boocamp installation everything went fine without any serial numbers.

And I have reinstalled and reloggedin several times with no help.

Mac laptop fails to logon wireless to WRT160N V2 after setting up a Dell laptop

I assisted a cooworker over the phone with wireless setup of a Dell Laptop and afterwards she could not connect her Mac laptop (it was working okay before). The only thing we did was log the Dell into the router via ethernet cable, obtain the PIN for WiFi Protected and use it to connect wirelessly. She closed the router config screen without making any changes. The Dell connects to the WRT160N wirelessly without problems but her Mac received a message "wireless setup has changed..." and it prompts for the linksys password but gets invalid message when entering PIN. Could connecting the PC cause a problem with the Mac? Or does it sound like she may have changed something when exiting the Router config screen?

When we originally booted up the Dell, it detected the linksys (SSID) wireless LAN, prompted for the Routers PIN number, we entered the 8-digit PIN found in the router's Wi-Fi- Protected Setup page (radio button was already set for Wi-Fi Protected Setup). After entering the router PIN the Dell connected wirelessly and the MACbook started to have problems. One person thought that by connecting the PC using WPS - it may have changed mode or encryption. I didn't setup this wirelss LAN originally and it is my first experience using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). I can switch it to Manual and go through all of the settings you suggested later today.

HP FQ834UT USB Universal Docking Station software won't work on my HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit

I am using Windows 7 and when i went to load software for my docking station, HP FQ834UT USB Universal Docking Station, it said it couldn't use the driver. Is there a software upgrade to allow this driver to work on a HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit operating system?

I have the same issue - I have it installed on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and although it is running, it doesn't work. I am sitting here in Starbucks, which has a Verizon Wifi hotspot (actually Boingo - which is what Verizon Wi-Fi uses) and the "Connect" box does not appear. I had the same issue at an airport recently. It's one of the worse pieces of software I have had the misfortune to use. When it fails to connect, it causes the Wifi connection to drop (incompatibility with Lenovo Access Connections, maybe). I don't think that Verizon understands the meaning of "QA" and "Software Testing".

The Elements 12 Mac disk works fin - I also have a Dell, and the Windows disk will not run at all, sounds like it's grinding, and is almost impossible to remove from the hard drive. I cannot find any place to tell me who to CALL to ask for a replacement!

You can use a download instead of the disk as an alternative: Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe you can license with your serial
Please test the disk in another windows machine to check if it's caused by the drive or the disk. If you tested with 2 drives please start a support case, i assume Adobe will only provide downloads at this point. They are the same as the trials. If you still need a disk you can burn the trial to a disk as a backup disk. Good luck!
