Elements flowing to next page hides the subsequent elments

Hi,
I have 2 subform vertically placed adjacent to each other withing the main subform.
Subform1(positioned,allow page break,continous filling the previous page,int he content area)
subform2(flowed)
     textfield1(var length)
     textfiled2(var lenght)
     textfiled3 (filxed length)
     textfield4(fixed length)
subform3(having textfield with fixed length)(positioned)
Now my problem is as textfiled1 and textfield2 are of variable length in subform2 so when they hv lot of data that makes form to flow to next page, in this case data flows to next page but hides the textfiled3 and textfield4.
I am sure this is the problem of the setting of the layout, please suggest something

Thanks for pdf, yes this is what I was looking for,now one more doubt in this case second vertical form subfor3 shifts to the next page as well, I dont want this to happen, I want this to be remained on the same page only subform2 flows to next page
OR
can it possible that content of subform flows in the subform3 side first and then expand to next page, as term and condition page where data is displayed ina pdf form in 2 column layout, when column1 fills till the page end then it flowd first to page1 column 2 side and then flows to page2 column1 . Can this be possible in this case, as out main requirement is to display the term and conditions in the form.

Hi Rashmi,
please drop these texts from your table footer (i hope you have put into footer of your table), just create a template after your table and put your all these data within this template and make sure that your this
template should be called after your tables data get displayed.
Or you can create a text , after your table where you put your data, and it should get displayed when the line items ends for your table.

How do I get text to flow from one page to the next in Pages 5 with the Maverick system?

What may be overlooked in Pages v5 is the notion of combining Text Boxes via the Menu > View > Show Arrange Tools. When you select two Text Boxes, an extra panel unfolds at the bottom of the Arrange Tools window. Uncheck one Text Box and this panel abruptly disappears.
One can achieve text flow effects between Text Boxes differently based on how one positions the Text Box overlap, and choice of effect above. Though not the accustomed flow found in Pages ’09 v4.3, flow does occur. Consider the possibilities of combining a Shape and a Text box to cut an irregular Text box.
If I create two Text Boxes and position them side by side with outline touching and choose Unite, this creates one larger Text Box and text flows across and down. On the otherhand, if I overlap the upper left corner of a lower Text Box over one above and to the left, then choose Union, pasted text fills the first Text Box and then flows across and down into the other box. Here is a Union example:
Intersect will leave a small Text Box where the two overlap, so not much value there. Subtract will cut a chunk out of one Text Box that is the size of the overlapping piece of the second Text Box:
And Intersect will leave an island in the center where the two Text Box overlap, with flow jumping over this bridge.
Clearly, this is not what we were accustomed to in the past, but with imagination, style, and layout tuning, it does offer alternative Text Box creativity and layout. Of course, there is the option of simply returning to the previous Pages version for true Text Box linking that most will want to use.

To display vline if main window flows to next page in SAPScript.

We are facing issue that we have to put vertical line at the end of page , if main window flows to next page.
In our case, we have payment done for different currencies as well, so that means if for first currency USD we have 20 records then after 16 records page gets break then we want sy-vline to print there and next 4 records in next page, similarily for next currency EUR, then if we have 4 records it gets displayed on one page only, so no vline is required then.
So like this if we have 3 pages to be displayed then on first page it should displayed vline as records gets overflowed.
May be in Script we can have more than 3 pages as well, so at different currency when we have more records then only it should show vline, otherwise not.
Also we have signature window inside main window, so on next page it should not display line after signature.
So please help us for finding the solution to this issue as its really urgent.

So as of now you know that the line count for a page is 16.
So after displaying records in main window just check the sy-index or keep a variable incremental for the loop.
Check whether the variable count is 16 and put a sy-vline. So if we have less number of records or if we have a signature window the vline wont be executed.
This will only be executed when there are 16 records for a page. So for better handling you can use the number of lines per page dynamically. Ie to know the size of lines in the page dynamically.
Else use of end of page command to draw lines at the end of page. But the end of page command should be used inside an if else command.

Table row does not flow to next page

Hi,
I am using deep structure table in adobe form but the content is not flowing to next page.
I have wraped the table in subform, Body Page, subform and table all are flowed and allow page breaks with content is also ticked, still the table row does not flow to next page.

Just drag the table directly on the body page and execute the form. This should take care of the properties required for data to flow on the form.

How to put 'Continue in next page' below the table.

I have an invoice where all the lines are not fitting into one page. So some of the lines are getting printed in the second page. But in this case I wanted to put a message below the first page as "continue on next page"
Since Iam a newbie to XML/BI Publisher I kinda stuck here. Tons of thanks in advance.

Header not getting displayed in the next page in the second table

Dear Experts ,
I have a query regarding Header not getting displayed in the next page in the second table of the main window. .Let me elobrate the issue.
I have a smartform in which there are 2 tables TABLE 1 and TABLE 2 in the smartform MAIN window. TABLE 1 is for pending PO and TABLE 2 is for future delivery date P O separated by text in between.
Now the header for both the tables and the data are getting displayed properly if the total output is in only one page. But If there are more entries in the TABLE 1 the Header for the TABLE 2 is not getting displayed. Header for TABLE 1 yet gets displayed properly in the next page in case of more entries.
Only issue is that Header for TABLE 2 is not getting displayed in second page but it gets displayed if the entries are less in TABLE 1 and the total output is in one page .
Please provide a elobrate solution on this problem as the requirement is urgent.

you need to cteate two pages FIRST and NEXT.
in first page --> FIRST
next --> NEXT
in next page
page---> NEXT
next ---> NEXT.
you copy the first page main window is the same in next page

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

Printed colour is different between two elements both created in pages with the same colour

Hi There,
I have been having some issues getting a text colour to match a logo (imported in pdf format) - While trying to discover what was happening I created a sample colour of (HSB 189 / 89 / 73) in pages and saved it in my colours palette to test.
Now if I create some text (in pages) and a shape (also in pages) and colour them from the same colour sample/swatch and print it - the colours are clearly very different, Does pages do some kind of text colour correcting or weirdness that I cant find? Its hard to believe this is the desired workflow and its very anoying.
PS. I have also tried printing from a pdf and I have the same issues - That said the two colours look identical in pages and the pdf on screen.

Which although is helpful and may explain the behavious of the imported logo pdf vs the text it doesn't (I dont think) explain how two elements both created in pages using the same colour (from pages) would be dfferent?

They are both coming out at the exact same colour (CMYK 83, 0, 21, 0) which is correct however they are not the same colours when printed, Im begining to think this is less of a pages thing (as the output is correct) but something is going wrong between pdf/pages and print
Its not the easiest thing to see so you may have to take my word for it - but the two colours are not the same by quite a long way (Theres way more contrast in real life)
I think Im ready to admit defeat on this but thanks a bunch for your help!

Flowable Form does not flow onto next page

I have created a form with a table wrapped in a subform and made it flowable and each field expandable. That part works great. However, I cannot get the content to flow to a subsequent page. When the content is too large for the page, it just keeps pushing down beyond the bottom of the form where I cannot even access it.
The form contains a table of three rows and within each of those rows, all but one column contain a table of three rows. The highest level table is wrapped in a subform and it is marked as flowed with each text field set to expand to fit. I've selected every row and subform I can and checked the box "Allow page breaks within content". The forms still does not break at the end of the page but just keeps pushing the data down off the page.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is there something under pagination for that subform that I might need to do. I tried creating a page 2 and intended to set the Overflow on the pagination tab to page 2 but that is not an option. I can only set this to PageArea1 or ContentArea1 which I see are objects in the master pages and I do not have a page 2 in master pages. Is that the key?

Slideshow elements are triggering next page in menu going nuts any ideas anyone

How to get header row to flow to next page with table content?

I am setting up a dynamic form with a series of question/answer tables.
Example:
Header (Text): List your accomplishments for the year.
Row 1 (Text Field): Associate types their response to the question above.
If I type enough text in the response that it flows down to a second page, both the header AND the response box drop down to the second page....ultimately leaving a big white space on Page 1. I would like for the header to flow to the next page, but only with the 'extra' text that didn't fit on page 1...not ALL of the text.
Is this possible?

I am doing exactly that. My issues is that, VO attribute is passed correct for the table rows which are fetched from the database. For the table rows which got created through 'Add Another button', the VO attribute passed through URI as {@FdTaskId} is returning null. The VO attribute sets only when a form submit happens. For example, after adding a row through 'Add another row' button, click the same button again to add one more row and now go back to previously added row and now you can see that its VO attribute is set ({@FdTaskId} carries value )

Make Textfield Flow To Next Page

Hello,
I am new to Adobe LiveCycle and my new form is coming along well but one big spot I am lost and confused on is allowing the textfield that contains alot of text force things to drop down to the next page and continue to show. Right now after it goes over to many words, the box cuts off and doesn't show full text. Everything is pushing down and flowing perfect except to next page functionality.

I am currently doing some form design for a large SAP project in the UK and am having problems with getting a table on a remiitance advice form ive created to flow onto a new page.
currently my form is configured as follows:
- saved as a dynamic pdf.
- 2 master pages: the first containing text fields for form title, company logo, addresses, and a disclaimer at the bottom, page numbering, as well as a border created with rectangles. The second contains all of the above except the addresses.
- 1 body page: contains a subform set to flowed (top to bottom) which contains a table with header/data/footer rows. The data row is set to repeat data so as to expand when there is more than 1 dataset.
i have tried playing with content areas but they will not stay at the size to which i draw them and then cannot be manipulated afterwards, also i only have pagination settings available to me on the body page itself in the hierachy. the subform inside it, and the table inside that, have greyed out pagination settings.
finally the body page is set to positioned at present as setting it to flowed causes the subform containing the table to shoot to the top of the page!
The problem I am getting is that the table when containing lots of data just runs off the end of the page!!
Any ideas much appreciated!

Basically you can tell the bodypage to overflow to the second masterpage when it runs out of space.
On the bodypage properties that's done within the pagination tab.
Make sure that you enable the "Allow page breaks in contents" tickbox.
By the way, just wondering, how did you save the form as dynamic, since dynamic is only enabled in the SAP world by setting a dynamic/enabled flag.
If you are testing outside of sap in the LiveCycle designer you might want to close the file and then reopen it, after you saved it as dynamic. There's a nifty setting in the LiveCycle designer properties which enables you to create dynamic pages by default. It's in the LiveCycle Designer Options.

How to automatically link a page to the next page in the next spread

I created a master page in which the two pages are linked( text frame on the page). When I apply the master page to the pages, on every same spread, two paged are linked, but not between spread. How do I automatically link the second page of first spread to the first page of the second spread? so all the pages will be linked in sequence. Thanks a bunch!

The InDesign Place command is fundamentally different from the Quark Get Content commands (as is the handling of frame content -- inifintely easier to change content type in ID). To palce content in ID you don't need to have a frame available to hold it, though you can if you like. Master frames are seldom required, or even helpful in many circumstances -- things like magazines with a rigid structure of mixed image and unbalanced column heights are one example where they ARE helpful.
When placing text you have several options. If there is no frame, click the loaded cursor where you want the text to be and ID will draw a text frame on the fly. The top of that frame will be at the y-coordinate where you click, it will fill the column guides surrounding the point at which you click, and iut will extend downward to the bottom margin guide. If there is more text than will fit you'll see a red plus sign in the frame outport that you can click to pick up the overset.
Still with no frame, you can click and drag to define a frame, or with an existing empty frame you can position the cursor over the frame (you'll see the icon change to include surrounding parentheses) and click to flow text into the frame and any addtional frames that may be threaded with it.
There ae several options for threading. If you've made master frames and threaded them, hold down the Shift key when you click iniside the frame and InDesign will add pages based on the last master in the thread untill all of the text is placed. If there are no master frames, holding shift will add frames on the fly, and pages to hold them. These frames will fill the column guides from top to bottom margin guide.
Holding the Alt (Opt) key instead of Shift puts you in semi-auto flow mode and text will be added one frame at a time (or one group of threaded frames if you click inside a thread), but will leave the place cursor loaded so you can add a new frame or click inside another existing frame. You can swith from semi-auto-to full auto at any time by changing keys, or release the key to just place text in the last frame. Holding Alt + Shift puts you into Autoflow to end of available space mode, wich will fill existing pages, but not create new ones.
