Elements open when updating CS3

I am trying to get the latest ACR into CS3 and when I download the zip file and extract and open the files it opens Elements 11. I did over ride and opened in Photoshop CS3 but it said it was the wrong kind of file. Have I downgraded my camera raw in Elements and any ideas on how to get camera raw 4.6 into CS3? I tried the manual install but the file paths used in the example are not even close to what is in my directory. I even tried a cut and paste to serch the computer for the files Adobe says to replace. No results. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks for the info. Tried it half a dozen times and still have 4.0 but I did find the files in the directory and will attempt an update

Photoshop Elements opens when I dock my iPod

I don't plan on using any of the photo aspects of the iPod. I am not sure what it is importing from the iPod as I don't have any pictures on the iPod. Also, it does the same files each time.
Does anybody know how to stop this from happening?

You need to disable the photo downloader. This isn't an ipod thing, it's an Elements thing. How depends on which version you have. For PE 4, just right click the downloader icon in the systray and choose Disable. (You can still import photos to PE by choosing File>Get Photos From… in the Organizer). Url cannot be opened when updating to itunes 10.5

I try to upgrade to itunes 10.5 using the itunes check for upgrade feature in the help menu but it says "URL cannot be opened". How can I upgrade without losing my library?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Not willing to risk data loss either.

Error message when updating Itunes...can not open Itunes program

I am recieving error message when updating Itunes for my computer. The error message reads "MSVCR80.dll is missing and the other error message reads Error 7 (Windows error 126)" I can not open my Itunes. I have reloaded the Itunes onto my computer but still have the same error messages. Please help.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

The title of my initial post is a bit misleading. I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

Hard drive is USB connected to Extreme.

Reboot the USB drive.. assuming it is powered.. or unplug and replug a self-powered drive.. (you should not use self-powered drives on AE before the latest model.. always use a powered hub).
Does the drive now appear in finder..
If not reboot both drive and the AE.. it should now appear.
If it doesn't work with direct connection try a powered hub.. that can help.

I have set up iPhoto 11 so that pictures will be edited in Photoshop elements 11. I selected the option to edit in another application. But when I select edit in iPhoto, elements opens but the photo does not open in elements. What is the problem?

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

You need to keep the keys pressed for several seconds. Close down Elements. Hold down the CtrlShiftAlt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Or hold down the keys whilst clicking on the desktop icon for the Editor or PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Programs folder. Keep holding down all three keys until you get the settings option. You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?Click on YesThen wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences. Hi,
This folder is probably treated as a program to run at startup.
So you will have to look at the places where such programs are referenced.
For instance, you may have a shortcut to that folder in your Start Menu > Startup.
Or it may be in the Registry.
Click on Start > Execute, the type msconfig and click OK.
This will show you in the Startup tab all the programs launched at startup.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
