Elements organizer 10 - which file retains the keyword structure?

I have organized my photos in elements organizer 10, using keyword tags and sub categories on my desktop.  It works great, if I want to see all pictures associated with a particular keyword tag, I select it and all photos assoicated with that tag appear.
the problem is this, I want the same scenario to work on my laptop.  I realize I can rebuild the structure on my laptop, but why take the considerable time to rebuild, if there is a file that contains the structure info and move it to my laptop.
Am I asking too much?  I hope not.
Thank you, Joseph

No Joseph. That can be done easily. Click on the + icon next to the Keyword Tags panel. A flyout will open. Choose "Save Keyword tags to file" This will create an xml. You can port this xml to your laptop and save it say in Documents.
Now, in Organize on your laptop, open the same flyout by clicking on the + icon and choose, "From File" option to import the same keyword tags hierarchy into the organizer catalog.
Thanks

  • How to know which property match the keyword

    I have some page in publishing site, I typed in a keyword in search center and it return some page results, however I can't figured out why these results are returned, I actually do not expect them to show up, I don't see the keyword appears in any of
    the pages content or page properties, is there a way to tell which property match the keyword? what exactly happened when sharepoint search a keyword.

    Hi,
    For troubleshotting your issue, let's verify the followings:
    What type keyword did you use for search?
    Which content type did you use for these pages?
    Whether someone changed these pages.
    Please try to reset index, and do a full crawl. Then test again, compare the result.
    In SharePoint, when you crawl a content source, it will generate some crawled properties for your items' peoperties. And in Search Center, When you type a keyword and search in search box, it will query the index file (crawled properties) based on the keyword,
    if there are some results, it will return.

    Do a verify of the disk.. A5 and the existing backup.
    Sometimes you need to wipe and start over.
    To delete existing sparsebundle see Q12 here.

    Don't use wireless. To do large backups use ethernet with wireless turned off.
    I almost want to say don't use Mavericks.. but it is too late for that if you already upgraded.. Expect trouble with Mavericks.

  • I wanted to transfer 4000  photos from my PC to my IPOD and IPAD, I did this but I thought the images would be still in their folders and not in an individual format, how do I retain the folder structure and transfer?

    I transferred my photos from my PC to my IPOD and IPAD, c. 4000. I thought they would be transferred in the existing folders, all I got was 4000 individual photos, how do I retain the folder structure?

    If you are syncing a number of folders from your computer then each folder should get it's own album on the iPad (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236) - I assume that you've touched the 'Albums' button at the top of the Photos app so as to view them by album, and not just the Photos 'button'.
    You could try closing the Photos app completely and then re-opening it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Photos 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    Another option is to try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Problems converting layered rgb files with transparency to cmyk files retaining the layers.

    10.7.4/Mac Pro/PhotoshopCS6 13.0 - When cmyk converting a multilayered rgb file layers containing transparency doesn't convert to same profile as layers not including transparency, e.g. a product with a shadow - each on separate layers. the product layer is converted to working Color settings but the transparent layer isn't and is converted completely different, both grayscale and UCR/GCR.
    Any suggestions?
    Tom

    Sorry c.pfaffenbichler, but I'm not giving in - and as you have not really produced any facts to explain this I will see this as a Photoshop bug.
    If you make a simple two-point gradient in CMYK the gradient will (according to your settings) create a transition between the two colors.
    If one of the colors is 87/78/64/92 and the other 0/0/0/0 then the resulting intermediate steps will depend on those two colors – the CMYK space’s GCR settings have no influence here.
    Edit: To clarify: The CMYK space’s GCR settings determine how the default »black« is formed, but a gradient in CMYK is not dependent on those GCR settings. Otherwise all gradients would have to be dragged through the PCS and that would not make sense if somebody decides to make a gradient with certain CMYK colors.
    And as I have tried to explain: A black to transparent gradient layer is basically a black layer with a transparency, so again: the CMYK GCR settings do not play into this.
    Just convert a RGB black to transparent Layer to CMYK, rasterize it and then apply Layer > Layer Mask > From Transparency, then turn off the Layer Mask.
    Whether you »give in« or not does not change the way these things are.
    knowing there's a flaw in Photoshop, not letting us see what transparents really look like when converted...?
    The flaw seems to be in your understanding, not in Photoshop.
    Working in RGB and CMYK has relevant differences.
    In RGB there is true black, in CMYK true black would have to be 100/100/100/100 which would violate the requirements for many or most processes.
    And a CMYK space’s GCR settings are applied in conversion, when you yourself work in CMYK and commit a blunder (meaning things like exceeding the TAC, arbitrarily mixing grays, …) the problems are of your own making.
    Edit: To restate: »expecting a layered image to appear identically in RGB and CMYK is simply not sensible depending on the image content and structure.«
    The two color models are inherently different, the one additive, the other subtractive.

  • Exported and later Imported .pst files retain the permissions from the original Mailbox.

    After migrating from Exchange 2003 to 2010 something strange happens when exporting folders to a .pst file and importing them in another mailbox.
    The acces right that are applied, are those from the original mailbox.
    I have been searching on the internet about this strange behaviour, but it seems our organization is the only one where is applies.
    Does anybody have any ideas what can be the cause?

    Hi,
    For example, userA was granted permissions to the Inbox folder of userB's mailbox. You exported userB's Inbox folder to PST file and then imported to userC's mailbox. After that, userA had permissions for Inbox folder in userC's mailbox as well. This is
    what you had encountered, is it right?
    Generally, permissions aren't preserved when you export folders to PST file, only the content itself is exported. I recommend you remove this mailbox folder permission using the Remove-MailboxFolderPermission command to check the result.

  • Which file are the macroes of kernel defined in?

    I read a book about linux kernel,but I find
    there are a lot of macroes in the book,
    I want to know which file they are defined in?

    I doubt there is one big macros.h containing all macros. I also suspect it's not too hard to locate a macro's definition with a bit of searching. And shouldn't the book be telling you?
    Anyway, if you want to wait for somebody to give you the answer, you should probably at least mention some of these macros by name.

  • Unzip a file preserving the folder structure

    Hi guys,
    I have create a zip file using java.util.zip and I preserv all directory structure. When I unzip the file using the same library, in the loop of ZipEntry I don't find never a directory. This the code that I use and don't work:
    public void dataDecompression(String pathArchivio) {
        try {
            fileInputStream = new FileInputStream(pathArchivio);
           checkedInputStream = new CheckedInputStream(fileInputStream, new Adler32());
           zipInputStream = new ZipInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(checkedInputStream));
           ZipEntry entry;
           while((entry = zipInputStream.getNextEntry()) != null){
                if(entry.isDirectory()){
                     //make dir
               else{
                    //write file
    }Maybe I miss something in compression? Excuse for my bad english.
    Thanks in advance.

    three problems with that.
    1) you don't recusively create folders.
    2) you create a folder with the name of the file you want to write.
    3) you don't create files.
    File file=new File(entry.getName());
    if(file.getParentFile()!=null);
         file.getParentFile().mkdirs();
    if( !entry.isDirectory() ) {
    //code that write file;

  • Why do blank copies of Numbers files retain the size of the original file?

    I made a copy of my budget file but cleared all the data so I could e-mail it to a friend.  Although the spreadsheets are empty, the file is still too large to e-mail.  What is wrong?

    In addition to Jerry's note, I would suspect that the actual data in a spreadsheet, which is basically a text file, is very small compared to the formatting and structure, which you presumably retained. If your document contains unused table styles, removing them might save some space.
    It is also worth noting that deleting some kinds of objects does not immediately remove them from the document file. I've observed this specifically with regards to images, which are stored in the document bundle separately from the main index file. I suspect that they are retained after deletion because iWork applications can undo past saves, as long as the document is kept open. As such, it appears to take a couple of Close and Reopen cycles to "flush" this undo content. I would expect Jerry's recommendation of Duplicate would also help with this.

  • Will edited Raw files retain the xmp edited information when converting to DNG format?

    I have a bunch of old nikon and canon Raw files that was edited in Photoshop Camera Raw.  The Raw files have corresponding xmp files.  I want to convert these edited Raw files into DNG format.  Using the Photoshop Camera Raw converter or using the free Adobe DNG Converter tool - will the edited information from the Raw files be automatically converted over to DNG? What would be the best method to convert an edited RAW  file into a DNG file, and retain all the editing (xmp files)? Thanks for help!!!

    Using either the dng converter or camera raw though PS and Bridge will convert your RAW files to dng and keep the edited info from your xmp files, which will be add into the dng format.  If you have a lot of files to convert, it might be faster to use the dng converter.  Next choice would be to select them all in Bridge, right click and select "Open in Camera Raw."

  • Which file on the DVD should I select to install front end gui

    Hello Basis gurus
    I am trying to install the Front End Gui on my laptop (SAP GUI for Windows 7.20).
    The older versions had a file called SETUP.EXE which I used to select to install the Front End Gui.
    However, on this CD I don't see that file.
    I read the Installation Guide which gives 2 scenarios.
    1. Creating an installation server and then use that to install on different systems on the network.
    2. Taking the CD to each windows client and install it directly from the CD.
    However, the installation guide explains the scenario 1, installing using installation server.
    There is no explanation of how to do the installations directly from CD. Since I don't see the setup.exe file, I don't know what else to do. Has anyone done this? If so could you please let me know. I would appreciate it.
    Thanks a lot
    R

    If you are talking about the NW 7.0 Presentation DVD/CD for the SAP GUI 7.20 installer, once extracted, I believe the setup you are looking for is located here:
    Under NW_7.0_Presentation\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32
    From that location you should see the setup executeables.
    SapBiSetup.exe
    SapGuiSetup.exe
    SetupAll.exe
    If you run the SapGuiSetup.exe, that should install 7.20 for you.
    If you run the SetupAll.exe, that will present you with options you want to have installed along witht he SAP GUI. (Business Explorer, Engineering Client Viewer, etc.Planning Grid, KW Add-On, etc)

  • Elements Organizer Sync Agent file problem

    I have started having a problem with the ElementsOrganizerSyncAgent.exe file. This file seems to cause some Microsoft Office applications to hang up. When I look at the error file it says that it is waiting for the ...SyncAgent.exe file.  If I disable this file my problem goes away.  I have reinstalled PSE v.8
    and that does not seem to cure the problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The simple and quick fix is right-clicking on that little Safe icon in the system tray (near the system clock) and choose Stop Backup/Synchronization.
    Turn it on and off as needed.
    If you are using face recognition and smart filtering you can also switch off Auto-Analyzer for improved performance.

  • Workflow - Can I move files around the directory structure?

    I have been using Lightroom for a while now and developed a workflow that does what I need. Right now here is what happens in Lightroom:
    1)Import RAW files
    2)Edit/dispose images
    3)Export to JPEG
    4)Move RAW files to archive location off site
    So my main question is with the last step. In Lightroom I can move the files to their new perminant location offsite. But I cant seem to get this same ability with Aperture. When I move the files it freaks out and cant locate the files anymore. I cant figure out the best way to get this workflow within Aperture. Any thoughts?

    Nice easy answer, Two simple options (best to think of the long term needs before making the decision) Referenced or Managed
    You can change round at a later date if need be. Aperture has options to do this for you.
    Referenced keeps Masters on an external HD. Vaults back up the Library only and you have to do your own backup. This can be done during the import. Keeps internal HD space used to a minimum.
    Managed Keeps Masters in Aperture. A complete backup of all the Library using vaults is possible. Uses more internal HD space.
