Elements Organizer crashes EVERY time on Macbook pro i7 with 8g ram.

THis is my Third requst for help- the program doesn't work on my machine, but I meet the specs.. Program doesn't open.. get the splash creen then it crashes. Running a macbook pro, i7 Mavericks, blah blah blah

You replied in a post referencing 10.6.8 that you had 'the same problem'. Did you upgrade to Maverick AFTER installing PSE? If so you must delete all the PSE preferences, They will get recreated when you restart the program. Details here - http://barbarabrundage.com/2013/10/28/photoshop-elements-and-os-x-mavericks/.

  • Photoshop elements organizer crashed every time I try to open.

The first time when I tried to open photo shop elements photo organizer it shut right down. Tried 3x more times and the same thing. I thought maybe my initial install was corrupted. So I uninstalled and did a re-install. Tried to open again and encountered the same thing. I checked vis google and found out other people are having the same issue. I'm running win7 pro 64 bit. What is the solution to this problem?

I wish I knew the answer as I'm having similar problems but with the Photoshop part which will not open. I get the moving bar and then nothing but in my case the Organiser opens. I also run Win 7 64bit and have deleted and downloaded the software at least 5 times with no success. It looks like a very expensive mistake and I wish I had never seen the software.

  • Every time my MacBook Pro is put to sleep, it will not connect to the internet when reopened unless diagnostic assistant is performed. Ridiculous!

Every time my MacBook Pro is put to sleep, it will not connect to the internet upon reopening unless I perform diagnostic assistant.

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved. Make sure the box marked

    is checked.
    2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
    3. Reset the PRAM.
    4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    5. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
    8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
    9. Reset the System Management Controller.
    10. Reinstall OS X.

  • Elements 11 crashes every time i use sketch filters

I am on a new macbook pro using elements 11 and every time i use the sketch filters the program crashes.  How do i get this fixed?

    Which OS are you on?
Please try running Organizer with Admin rights, directly from PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe if on Windows.
Another thing that you can try if on Windows - is - run your system in Compatibility Mode. To do this you need to-
    - Close Organizer if open.
    - Locate 'PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe'. By default it is present at '%programfiles(x86)%\Adobe\Elements 8 Organizer\'
    - Select the file and right click and select 'Properties'
    - Switch to 'Compatibility' tab
    - Select check box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
    - Select 'Windows XP SP2. Click 'OK'
    - Launch Organizer and try email workflow once again
    Thanks

  • ITunes crashing every time it tries to connect with the Store

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version, but every time it starts to connect with the store the program crashes. The one time it did load was when it was not able to connect with the store because the internet had reset right at that same moment. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks!

    sorry, fixed.
i deleted all the third party plugins i had in library/itunes/plugins and it works fine now.

  • Premiere Elements 9 Organizer crashes every time

I installed the Trial version on my computer and later added serial number info to get the full program. The editing interface seems to work fine (though I have not had too much time to play with it yet) but the Organizer has not once opened correctly. If I choose it from the opening dialog box everything just closes (no error) and if I choose it from within the editing part it still closes (with or without an error). When I do get an error it says:
    AppName: photoshopelementsorganizer.exe     AppVer: 9.0.0.0     ModName: quartz.dll
    ModVer: 6.5.2600.5933     Offset: 0002efd9
Not too helpful. It begins to open, enough that I can see what it should look like, even with a few video thumbnails etc., but then crashes. Every time.
    PC specs:
    HP Compaq dc5800 Microtower
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    E8400 @ 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz, 2.99 GB of RAM
I have CS3 and CS5 design premium installed on my machine as well.
I'm rather frustrated, as I had to go to bat with bosses/IT to get even this program (instead of god-awful Pinnacle) for small video-editing projects but as of yet it's been a pain. The installation alone took maybe six tries and two separate Adobe personnel chat sessions.
    Thanks for any help.

    Work through these basics first:
    Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.8 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
Shut down, from task manager, as many startup processes as you can. The existence of CS3 & CS5 almost certainly means there are Adobe backgound processes starting automatically.
Free up as much disk space as you can - try for a minimum of 30GB free, 60GB preferably.
Run Disk Cleanup. If you know that the last system restore point is good use advanced settings and remove all but most recent restore point.
    Run Defragmenter.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.

  • Elements 12 Organizer crashes every time I try to use the Photo Mail function. Has anyone else come across this bug?

I highlight the photos I want to share, go to Photo Mail, select the addressees and press "Next". I then get the error message: "Elements Organizer has stopped working" and I have to close the program down.
This is obviously a bug in the program and needs fixing. Has anyone else encountered it and found a solution. (I might add that the same crash happens if I try to use the "Email attachments" function.)

    Hi,
Are you running on a Windows system?
If so, use the windows explorer to navigate to one of the following files according to your system.
    64bit system: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
    32bit system: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
Right click on that file and select Run as Administrator then try your email again.
You should only have to do this once.
      Good luck

  • Photoshop Elements 12 crashes every time I run the editor

Every time I run the editor, the program crashes. The organizer works fine. I have a i7, Win 8.1 16GB RAM and 2GB video memory. Lightroom 5.3 works fine. I have the same problem with the editor of Premiere Elements 12.
    Any suggestions?

Has it ever worked right? If so, I would start the editor while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
If it has never worked, I would uninstall and reinstall, but be sure to disable your antivirus and anything from symantec/norton during the installation.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 crashes every time I run it.

Photoshop Elements Editor 10 crashes every single time I run it.  It simply freezes and I get a message saying "Program not responding".  I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but it simply will not run.  The Organizer runs fine but Editor just dies.  I have a brand new core i3 machine, with 4 GB of RAM and a brand new install of Win7 64 bit.  Any ideas??

Can't check folder location now as I'm away from the PC.  However I allowed it to install with the default settings. As it's a 32bit application I thought it would install to the Program Files (x86) folder by default.  And yes I am running it from an administrator account.
The other strange thing I noticed before I had to leave work was that after installing Photoshop my Print Spooler service had crashed, not sure if this is linked.  Does Photoshop try and scan for printers on launch?  I tried stopping and restarting the service but it didn't seem to work, spooler still dead and Photoshop dead.  Also Excel 2010 now crashing on open, may also be linked the spooler being dead.  Word and Outlook both still running though.
Will try and investigate spooler service issue further tomorrow.

  • Stereo changes to bluetooth every time my macbook pro turns on

Hi, I just got a macbook pro, my first mac. I paired it with my onkyo receiver and works great but now every time I turn or wake up my macbook my receiver automatically switches to bluethooth. • Elements Organizer starts every time

Almost every time I start Photoshop Elements 9 the "Elements Organizer" starts and can take 20 to 30 minutes to search for new files among my 15,000 plus pictures.  I had to reinstall Elements 9 because the first time it didn't find all my pictures, only about half.  I am loosing so much time waiting for the "Organizer" to do its thing that, though I have used earlier versions beginning with version 2, I wonder if I need to look elsewhere.  I would hate to loose my dozens of tags but the time I am wasting now I could use doing tags on another product.  I hope I can get help so I don't need to do that.  How can I stop this from happening?

In Organizer, use File...Watch Folders and de-select the option to watch your folders.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 crashes every time I open Help menu

I just got a Bamboo Capture tablet accessory for my iMac from the Apple Store.  It comes bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.  I installed Elements, yet every time I try to open the HELP menu it crashes and an error message comes up saying
"Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 quit unexpectedly."
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'launch path not accessible'
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
I have an iMac running OS X Snow Leopard
Adobe won't offer any assistance unless I pay $39, even though I bought this product TODAY!

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elemetns 8 settings
Repair permissions and try again. Also, I hope you didn't install the driver from the disc that came with your tablet. Go to Intuos's website and download the latest version.

  • Premiere Elements 8 crashes every time I load it

I just purchased the combo of Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8.  Photoshop installed fine, but every time I try to open Premiere, it goes through the loading process and then crashes before it opens.  I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing happened.  I returned the software and exchanged for another disk and the same thing happens.  I updated my drivers, updated quicktime etc. and nothing works.  Any ideas?

One type of "plug-in" that causes a crash/hang when loading is the VST. These are often from audio-editing programs, and appear as .dll's in most cases. When the Adobe program encounters the VST's that it finds on the system, it attempts to load them, even if they did not install with PrE. There is a very quick and tiny line of text on the Splash Screen, indicating which are being loaded. One has to watch very closely to see this text, and as it goes by quickly on a fast computer, can be tough to read. One idea is to set up your video camera and record the loading process, focused on the Splash Screen. Then, when the launch fails, just rewind that tape and shuttle through it, until the Splash Screen disappears. Go back one Frame and pause. What is the very last line in that text? It is likely that that is the problem - that, or maybe the next one - the one we have yet to see...
There are three things that happen with the VST's:
1.) The Adobe program loads them successfully and can use them.
2.) The Adobe program loads them successfully, but cannot use them. In PrPro, the user gets a one-time warning message to that effect. One only sees this message once.
3.) The Adobe program cannot load, nor can it use, the particular VST(s). In PrPro, the program writes a "blacklist" of the ones that cause the crash. If one has many of these # 3 VST's, the blacklist grows, on every attempted launch, until all are on the blacklist. Then, the program can launch. It will take one launch attempt for each of the offending VST's. On a DAW with tons of VST's (especially the "instruments" VST's), this might mean 20-30 aborted launches, before all are blacklisted. I mention PrPro here, because I have no idea whether PrE does the same thing. Possibly, but I just do not know. I did not realize that PrPro did the automatic blacklist until recently. Most people would only try to launch a couple of times, and then give up.
If one knows which VST's are getting in the way, they could address those. Hence, reading that little text line might be very useful.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Airport Utility 5.6 fails installation every time on MacBook Pro running Lion. Apple says should work. Any thoughts out there? Thanks, Allen

I am trying to set up an older Airport as a "range extender" with MacBook Pro. Message is I need to use Airport Utility 5.6. I downloaded it, but installation fails every time. I'm on Lion. Any suggestions out there? Thanks, Allen

AirPort Utility 5.6 for Lion will only work for systems running OS X 10.7.2.
To install it on later versions requires the workaround described in this thread: How do I configure an Airport Express when I get this message in Airport Utility? "This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station."
Pay attention to the caveat in the final paragraph, restated here for emphasis:
Keep in mind that Apple's decision to abandon support for your original AirPort Express was for reasons known only to them. Remember that you are using obsolete equipment, should some future OS X feature not work for you.
I am trying to set up an older Airport as a "range extender" with MacBook Pro.
The only way to "wirelessly extend" a wireless network using the original 802.11b/g - only AirPort Express or Extreme is to implement a WDS, a woefully inefficient compromise that's difficult to configure even for experienced users. You can use an original Express or original AEBS as an additional wireless access point for a wired LAN in a "roaming network" though.
