Elements Serial Number

I apologise. Looking back at my comments, you're right. Here is my situation. I have a three computer situation and process hundreds of photos a week. I have used Elements back to No. 6, as I recall.
When Elements 12 came out, I  purchased it for two machines . I knew that was the limit.
Yet, i also needed the probram on my PC upstairs near my printer.
So, I downloaded the probram from the internet onto that machine. It cost $59, as I recall. But that may not be totally accurarte.
The problem. as state earlier, was that everytime I opened an image in Elements 12 upstair, it asked for an accurate serial number. I eventually located what I assumed was my serial number at my Adobe account. But it doesn't work.
Maybe this will clarify my question?
Again, I'm sorry. I think I reacted to you're assuming I didn't need so many copies of the program.
