Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -

I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Itunes and safari will not connect after installing the last update, but mozilla and internet explorer does.
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

It seems like this could be an issue with the device. IT will not connect long enough to extract the data.

Since I downloaded 7.0.4 onto my iPad 4th gen. the wifi has been unstable.
The wifi will not consistently connect as a "guest" at work and will NOT maintain
the password for my wifi at home. Prior to the update to 7.0.4 this iPad never
had any wifi issues! I have tried all of the tactics of resetting wifi, re-downloaded the entire
7.0.4 and with the same wifi issues? At this point my iPad is useless to me without wifi!!!Some things to try first:

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Helix will not connect with keyboard and touch pad
This is kind of wierd. It's been doing this since I've owned it. I have a Thinkpad USB 3.0 port replicator. When I get to work, I used to turn the screen around backwards on the keyboard and plug it into the PR. That way all you could see was the screen. Now I have a tablet stand and I remove it from the keyboard and set it in the stand. The problem I'm having is that when I have it reversed on the keyboard OR off of the keyboard all together for a period of time (say, 30 minutes) and I re-attach it to the keyboard, I can't use the keyboard or trackpad unless I press the power button for 20 seconds and hard reset the tablet. It see's the battery and plays the audio that tells me it see's it, but the pad and keyboard are unresponsive. It's frustrating. A standard reboot/restart will not fix the problem. I have made sure my tablet and keyboard have the latest BIOS and firmware updates.

I guess one day firefox will give error message and will disconnect internet. it is since 12 of Oct 2010. Since all trials failed I started with reinstalling but problem did not go away. What can I do to use Firefox. I am not sure of ID and Password.

Photoshop elements 12 will not connect with Revel Premium
I am using Windows 8.1 and I upgraded to Elements 12 from Elements 8 in August 04. I also have Revel Premium. For a few weeks I was able to move photos between PS and Revel. Now this has changed, for I am no longer able to access Revel from Photoshop. I have listened to the Help Videos and have red the other help topics with no success. Obviously there is a solution to this problem, and I am convinced that others have experienced it. Since Adobe Tech Support does not support Photoshop and only directs you to the Forums I am hopeful there is someone here who can help me.
I appreciate your help since I have many photos in Revel that I would like to move to Organizer.

i have purchased an official copy of premier elements 13. i have my serial number etc but when i go validate my sign in throgh my internet connection nothing happens. its a nightmare !! I cannot even find out how to generate a rerquest code for offline valiodation. clicking on "generate response code " does nothing. I have jjust spent £79 on this product. will someone please help. ther is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

Thank you so much for your common sense reply. I contacted Adobe via their online chat help facility. One of their tech guys resolved the issue by re-setting the Hosts file. Now I have seen this in the forums and it basically involves making a back-up copy of the Hosts file deleting certain entries and applying again.. Thankfully this worked for me. But I would urge Adobe to look into this matter as there are many novices I am sure will be extremely frustrated at what should be a straight forward approach when validating their software. Most people would know there internet was working ok and most people would be able to disable anti-virus software etc, but to continue getting a failure to validate a serial number online would in my opinion beggar belief !! for most technically minded folks out there. Most annoying.
When anyone purchases legacy software from Adobe, no one wants this kind of problem. The software is not cheap.
My purchase was Adobe Premiere Elements 13 and it is a great piece of software for video editing. I can however recommend it. It is very good for both novice and professionals

While I was updating my phone, there was an error and it's stuck on the screen where it has the cable connecting to itunes. I tried to connect, but it's stuck. I've tried different cables and ports, but nothing works. Is there anything I can do without erasing my phone? I can't remember the last time I backed up my phone and I turned off iCloud because of the space it was taking up. I keep shutting it down and turning it back on, but the same screen appears. Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. I hope somebody knows a fix or solution! Thank You!
