Elements10, need to re-install
My computer had to be reformatted and I need to reinstall elements10. I have the key. I tried using Pro Design Tools but when I click on file 1 or file 2 I get a Access denied message.
Help, I don't want to have to buy another product.
At the ProDesign Tools site you need to follow the Note:Very Important Instructions or the download links won't work.

I've had MS Office:mac 2011 on my imac for around 18 months now. Outlook has just disappeared and when I find the file and open it it tells me that there is a problem and I may need to re-install it. I've just done this using the installation disc which, then said the installation had been successful.

It's not a simple or fast process but it is important to follow all of the steps in order to get all the files that Office scatters around. This will not affect your data files, only MS Office and its preferences. -

I need help in installing CreateJS for Flash CS6. I had downloaded the Toolkit CreateJS from here: http://www.adobe.com/go/downloadcreatejs and here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/createjs/articles/using-flash-pro-toolkit- createjs.html. When I attempted to install the extension using Adobe Extension Manager, the installation files did not have the required .zxp or .mxp files. It only had a file with a .mxi extension. Please advise. For Installing a developer Machine just install Oracle Developer suite; for testing your forms you use OC4J ("start OC4J instance" in start menu), and you can run your forms in web; no need for a aditional webserver (don't believe there's an OC4J connector for IIS available; and if so I wouldn't use it either ;-))
For Installing a server for "productional" use install Oracle Application Server (available on otn) which comes with an Apache as webserver and all the other needful things for runnung forms on the web.
For configuring both of them just take a look at the documentations on http://otn.oracle.com

I have two questions...
1) If I do a clean install on my MacBook Pro will I be able to re-install apps (FCP, Aperture, MS Office etc.) from a Time Machine backup, or will I need the original install DVDs with authorization codes? (because I don't have them)
2) Has anyone ever seen anything like this before on their computers?
The Apple Genius' were stumped by my laptop issues and said they'd never seen anything like it before and recommended I did a clean install. Below you can see my trash bin, and if you look at the "Empty" button it reads "N201" and then there's the "N39" to the left of it. You can also see these numbers over by the folder area--"SD5, SD6, SD7." But that's not all...
When I right click on items I see the numbers again. Instead of "Open with" I get "N152" and there's an "N35" and "LB1" towards the bottom.
I have no idea what's going on so I'm just going to do a clean install on my machine but I don't want to lose my apps. I don't have the original install DVDs for them anymore. When I was prompted there was an update on iTunes I did as usual and began installing the update. Something happened during that time and I got an error saying it didn't download correctly. Now when I go to open iTunes it gives me an error message and says I need to re-install the program. I'm not sure how to do that. I am also concerned that I will lose all of the things that I have backed up from my phones, purchases, apps, etc. Can anyone please give me some insight on what to do?

It has always been Prudent to Create and Maintain a Backup of anything you would not like to lose. -
Need to Re-install iTunes - here is how to do it
If you need to re-install the current version of iTunes here is a trouble free way of doing so... this may or may not take care of other problems as well, if so good luck... my only assumption here is you already have a good and problem free System... if in doubt ask 1st.
1st remove the receipts for iTunes so as a new copy can be reinstalled....
To do it yourself....
Go to the main System library and open the Receipts folder or Type 'Receipts' in Finder search box to find receipts folder....
drag to the trash... iTunes4.pkg and check to see if any other 'iTunes.pkg' files are there, if so, drag also to the trash but only the ones starting with 'iTunes' leave all others untouched and close the folder.
or have a GUI like Desinstaller do it for you..
Check that your HD is in order with 'Disk Utility' ...
Run repair HD from original CD or DVD install disk...
insert disk and re-start holding down the 'c' key until you see the spinning gear.
At installer level do not continue...
Use top left menu and go 'Disk Utility' (pre Tiger).... use 'Utilities' Menu for Tiger and go 'Disk Utility'
select your HD volume with Operating system on...
select 1st aid... select repair Hard Disk.
if errors are repaired run again until none are reported then verify your HD.
quit and return to the Finder Do not continue with the Installer...
Check the permissions are set correct on the Apple installed software...
Use 'Disk Utility' from Applications > Utilities > select HD... select 1st aid. repair permissions... if repairs are needed run again until none are repaired... do not worry about messages 'we are using special permissions etc... they are OK Quit when finished.
Click here to download iTunes 6.0.1 .... then install.
* if you have any combo system upgrades that need to be applied, now is the time to do it.... make iTunes the last thing to be installed.
Now do the HD repairs and permissions repairs again, as above, in the same order. Important

I was a beta tester. Adobe gave me a copy of CS 5.5 at the end of the Beta trials.
Now something is wrong inside PS Extended CS 5.5 that prevents it from successfully printing with a Samsung CLP-325W color laser printer.
So I think I need to re-install PS from the internet. (or other suggestions) This, under the assumption that something inside has gone bad.
Recent hardware installation: New graphics card. ATI 5770.
Other programs print fine from the same computer. Previous versions of PS print fine. Preview prints fine. Photoshop CS 5.5 starts the printer up, but the sequence doesn't execute entirely and a blank page comes out.
I've zapped the PRAM, repaired disk permissions, re-installed the printer drivers—nothing gets me back to where I was last week when all was printing fine.
So how do I keep all my Actions and internal settings intact while re-installing PS over the net?

I have Windows 7 and for some reason I cannot install Adobe Type Manager onto my Computer. I need ATM to install the DIN font but am having no luck what so ever. I can see the DIN font in my Dropbox but it is showing up like this:- ._DIN-bold, no file file extension. what am I doing wrong? is it Mac?
(1) Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is not compatible with any version of Windows beyond Windows XP (32-bit, only). Attempting to install ATM on any newer version of Windows may actually disable Window's capability of rendering Type 1 and OpenType CFF fonts, requiring a reinstallation of Windows.
(2) There is no need to use ATM to install any fonts under Windows.
(3) The file name ._DIN-bold is indicative of a MacOS font. These fonts cannot be installed on Windows systems.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for Windows 7. I need to re-install it because my computer crashed. I saved the outer box, but I do not see a serial number and it is asking for it when I am trying to install the CD software. I went online, but the only serial number I see is when I registered the Photoshop Elements 2.0.
The serial number will be on the disc case, not the outer box. Find your serial number quickly

I accidently uninstalled Bonjour and need to re install it.
If I do what is suggested and uninstall i tunes and reinstall it, will I lose all my songs etc that I already have on i tunes?No. They will be right where you left them after re-installing iTunes.
Either way, you should be backing this content up anyways.

Also, if an application is built with the 10g ODP.NET, can it be run from a machine with OraOps9.dll?
I'd be very grateful for anyone who can clear up my confusion.

ODP.NET needs to be installed on the client. OraOps9.dll is part of ODP.NET, not the Oracle Client.

If an application is built with 10g ODP.NET, it can be run with 9.2 ODP.NET as long as you do not use any 10g APIs. The new features in 10g ODP.NET are included in the doc and the ODP.NET FAQ for your reference. -

itunes tod me i needed to re-install it, so i did but everytime i click on itunes on my desktop it comes up with "the file itunes litbrary.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes" what do i do now?
If you've already installed the latest version then the message may be a sign of a corrupt library. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

I need to re-install Tiger: Will I lose my installed applications?
I somehow lost isync and I was told that I need to re-install Tiger. What I'm worried about is whether I will lose all the applications I have installed in the appz folder, such as FCP, Entourage with all the info I have in there, including projects, thousands of mails and so forth. I know I have to back-up, but last time I backed up a project and then imported it again, I lost all the categories on events, etc and I am using those categories as a database of sorts. Secondly I don't have the all the programmes I have installed on my MAC at the moment because I'm abroad. Will I lose the documents files etc?
Since I tempered with isync and lost it, the computer is acting strange, I would dare say, like a PC! It freezes (without blue screens), I can't go from one profile to another, especially if I have a programme like FCP open on one, FCP closes down on its own if I go to my other profile whilst I am on FCP and other strange things that never happened before.
Bottom line, if your uncle, who has a MAC himself asks you to set up his Nokia Communicator on your mac to isync (when isync 2.3 does not recognize his communicator), do not feel compelled to help and try playing around with the root editor if you're not definetly sure you know what you're doing! I screwed up my computer and the end of my year by being nice.
To recap-- if I re-install Tiger (10.4), will I lose my appz and their preferences and the info I have inside them? How would I back up entourage for example-- all the stuff I have in there at the moment? I am editing a documentary (I am an independent and poor documentary filmmaker) and I don't want to end up losing the sync with the render files I have-- another reason why I don't have the time to actually re-install from scratch!

I have an 800Gb external HD. Would that be the same? (ie backing up my home and applications folders onto the external rather than on his MAC?-- he asked me to sync it on his because he left his up north)
I will start off by trying to repair it using the first the OSX disk then using disk warrior (even though I have had problems with it since I upgraded to OSX 10.4).
Then if that does not solve my friggin' problem we'll wait for the gurus.
I don't know whether this is related but...
I have been closing my yearly accounts yesterday-- sad prospect for the end of the year and I had created a few years back an XLs document with various sheets that have a lot of equations and links. I also hyperlinked the original receipts scans to the individual expenses on my sheet.
Now here's what happens. End of the year arrived and I wanted to archive the 2006 workbook to another folder where I keep the yearly accounts documents. When I do that and open the workbook the hyperlinks do not work but if I put it where it was originally they work. Since all my workbooks were created from the same template they all don't work (and I can't remember for the life of me whether the problem had cropped up in the past). If I create a new document in the archiving folder and try a hyperlink it works-- if I move it to the folder where the 2006 accounts workbook was originally, it works too, but if I copy and paste even one of the formulae when the new docu is in the archiving folder or anywhere else, the hyperlink does not work any longer! I move it to the original position and voila` it works! I simply cannot understand why its doing that for me! Is there an explanation for this at all?

The result was the creation of a fresh OSX install and a Previous Systems folder that contains my old user accounts and many of my applications, including Logic. All these applications were installed from my earlier account, so they seem to treat me as if I am a new user. I moved Logic from the old Previous Systems Applications folder to my new Applications folder and it required me to re-enter my serial number when it started up. I tried opening a GarageBand project in Logic and found that one midi setting (Apple's Orchestral Kit) doesn't work.
I suspect that this is because Logic can't find that associated files. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if moving Logic as I did is the source of my problems? If so, do I need to re-install it also?

Johnyou don't have to install 7, your dongle proves that you owned 7, I did a fresh install of OS 10 on my new computer and installed Logic studio only. You're gonna love it!
