Eliminate gaps/spaces between rolls

Hello,
I am designing a 2 column table. The left column has 4 rolls,
the right column has 12 rolls.
Roll 3/column 1(left side) has text that fills the table cell
ranging from 4 lines to over 60 lines of text.
The problem is that the rolls in column 2 (right side) are
all images with fixed sizes.
However, the varying size of roll 3/column1 is causing gags
in the rolls with images in column 2. How can I fix this and
prevent gaps from occuring in column 2? Oh yes, in Safari, the
pages show correctly, but in IE and Netscape, the gaps are evident.
Thanks for your feedback.
Viola J.

Do you mean rows?
Can you show is the code or provide a URL to the page?

  • Eliminate Default Space Between Buttons

    This seems like a very simple problem - however, I cannot seem to find the solution for it.
    I have a VBox container and a Panel with vertical layout.  Each of them contain several buttons that are about 40 pixels high and extend to fill the width of the container.  The buttons are displayed vertically, but it seems as if Flex automatically asigns about 3 pixels worth of space between each button.  How do I eliminate this space?  There isn't a "Margin" property associated with the button.
    Here is an example..
    <mx:Panel x="83.5" y="186"
    width="250"
    height="435"
    layout="vertical"
    backgroundColor="#FFFFFF"
    borderColor="#B59D9D">
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Clothing" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana" borderColor="#FCFAFA"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="E-Books" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Laptops" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Movies" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Music" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Phones" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
              <mx:Button width="100%" height="40" cornerRadius="0" label="Software" fontSize="18" color="#363535" fontWeight="normal" fontFamily="Verdana"/>
    </mx:Panel>

    Thanks Prashant - it works!
    I didn't realize that it had to be added to the container for the buttons - I had been trying to apply it to each button instance.

  • How to eliminate the space between two analysis in the Dashboard?

    Hi All,
    I have created a Dashboard which contains 12 analyses arranged vertically. When i see the report in the dashboard section it contains some standard space between each analysis. So it looks like separate separate analysis arranged in dashboard. But i want it to look a single table is it possible by reducing the space between every analysis? If possible please let me know how to achieve this in clear manner.
    Awaiting your valuable responses.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    Yes,try to adjust the analysis view (table/pivot/chart view )Formating option...
    FYI: try to align formating left,right,top/bottom padding and also try to reduce the width and height..

  • Is it possible to easily eliminate white space between chapters in IDCS4

    I am creating a book of 50 chapters in ID CS4.  I would like to keep the total # pages in the final book to a minimum. Each chapter ends at a random point on its last page.  I s there a way to automatically "snug" a following chapter close against the end of the previous, rather than beginning on a new page? This would save about 5% (25pgs) in total.

    The point Eugene has been trying to make is that the only way to have one chapter end and another start on the same page is if both chapters are part of a single document. You cannot accomplish this if you use the Book feature to assemble individual single-chapter documents.
    If it's all one document, you can elimiate white space by making the chapters into a single story. One way to do that is to click the outport of the last frame in a chapter and then click inside the first frame of the following chapter to thread them. Text will flow backwards to fill the space unless you've done something special like set a keeps option to start on next page.
    If you don't want a single story, shorten the last frame of the chapter so it fits the text, then add a new frame elow it and thread that one to the next chapter. This will be a pain in the butt for editing as you'll constanly find yourself adjusting frames as you add or remove text.

  • Need to eliminate Space between two Pivot table view  in OBIEE 11g

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to eliminate space between two pivot table views. In a single report I have two Pivot table with two different column, I placed both of them one after another, but I need to eliminate the space between two pivot table views as if it should show as a single pivot table in OBIEE 11g.
    Could anyone please let me know how I can do this in OBIEE 11g?
    Thanks in Advance
    Anirban Mitra

    If I create narrative view it will be another view. And if I put that in between that two pivot view, it will show the space. I need to remove space between two pivot table within a single report so that it can appear as a single pivot view.
    Thanks

  • Space Between Songs

    Hello,
    I am using iTunes to burn a disc of my own music that I made in Logic. I seem to remember on previous versions of iTunes an option to control how much space, if any, is left between the songs. Is that not possible? I want to eliminate the space between the songs. I worked forever on these connections between the songs, and now when I am finally ready to burn the disc there is an unpleasant, arhythmic gap of silence. Any tips? Or maybe some freeware program options? (I don't have Toast or any money)
    Thanks

    You won't ged rid of the gaps totally by burning with iTunes.
    iTunes doesn't support DAO (Disc-At-Once), which is essential for burning gapless.
    Well, no Toast, no money.....
    Maybe a trial version of Dragon Burn will be sufficient for burning a few CDs.

    I am currently running Firefox 4 and have igoogle set as my homepage. Both with the previous version of Firefox and with the new one I have about a 1/16 inch blue gap/space between the top of my igoogle homepage and the bottom of the Firefox ribbon/header. • How do I hide the grey space between pages in a document?

    I am still trying to learn Pages after using MS Word for many years and I am unable to find how to eliminate the space between pages in a document on screen. I should add that after reading a lot of reviews re: versions of Pages I ordered a CD of iWorks 09  as the concensus seemed to be that the earlier versions were much better than the most recent.  Anyway, I would like to just see the text and nothing else as though it is just one very long page! How can I do that without updating to the current version of Pages?
    I have a MB Pro running iWork 09 version 4.3 on Yosemite (up-to-date).

    Thanks for the response, Peter! I have seen your replies on many questions and you seem to be the bomb when it comes to Mac 'stuff' !
    I guess i didn't explain myself well...I do not want to eliminate pages, I merely did not want to have all that wasted space (margins/footnotes/headers/grey) between the text I have on each page. It is merely for what I see on the screen - not elimination of the formatting/paging etc..
    I have about a 15-20 page 'cheat sheet' that I have open frequently on the far right of my screen as I am working at my laptop which I refer to intermittently. I need to scroll thru pages to find what I am looking for and I just wanted to reclaim some real estate, so to speak. I don't want to change anything other than what I see on the screen - if I choose to print all or part of my 'cheat sheet' the format doesn't change and I can print whatever individual pages necessary! Actually I think there may still be a line showing a page break but no real 'space' between the pages.
    Did this explanation help to further delineate what I am trying to do? and is it possible?

    This is OK for quick mock-ups but it doesn't work in the wild because graphics apps produce terribly rigid code that falls apart when you try to edit it later.

  • How can I eliminate the pointless top bar, close up the spaces between bars that are wasting space and reduce the depth of the tabs so that I have the space I had before for the websites I am looking at?

    I have updated to the latest form of Mozilla Firefox, and the top of the screen is altered so that it occupies far more space than it used to do, leaving far less space for what I want to look at. Why are there spaces between bars? Why are the tabs deeper than they used to be or need to be? How can I eliminate the pointless top bar which merely duplicates the information in the tab bar? Is there any way of simply restoring the previous arrangement?

    Okay, I accept that this is just how it is, and there is nothing to be done about it, because no-one except me thinks that the icons and toolbars should be organised to take up minimum space in order to allocate maximum space to the page.
    The crowning irony of all this is that, having updated to the latest Mozilla Firefox and consequently having this arrangement at the top of the page which I don't like, the middle of the page now comes up with its old message, 'You are not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade now.'
    Computers are very odd. :(

  • How to eliminate space between rows in my gallery?

    I have been trying for days to figure out how to get rid of the space between these rows. Padding and margins for the gallery as well as the rows individually have been set to zero. What are those markers (circled in red)? They seem to indicate the break between rows...
    Thanks for any help...

    There is no need to have your gallery in rows, or have each element inside it's own div with class. You can make this much cleaner by making a list - like your menu.
    Your issues were caused by the large amount of <p> tags (which have margins and padding by default) and the fact each image was wrapped in a <h2> tag (which should only be used for headings and also has a default padding and margin). Add to this the <blockquote> and you have a bit of a difficult scenario.
    I have cleaned the gallery up for you. Use the HTML below, with the CSS provided. You will need to clean up your CSS afterwards as a lot of the classes you don't need - at least for this page. Another thing is you have 3 containers for the gallery - content2, galleryframeformovie and gallery. Why? Remove the movie one and place the gallery div inside the content2 div.
    HTML
    <div id="content2"></div>
    <div id="galleryframeformovie">

  • How do I remove a space between tables?

    In dreamweaver there appears to be no space and the page looks fine, however when I go into
    internet explorer there is a gap between the tables.  I want my image to be

    I have tried for hours to resolve this and I can't, there is still a space between my HR helpline image and my footer.
    I have set all the borders and cell spacing to 0 but nothing seems to work.
    I have not yet got my web site on line so can't tell you what the URL is, but when I go and view source from the internet explorer this is the code:

  • WAD - How to Minimize the Space Between Drop-Down Box and Table

    Hi all,
      I am trying to display a query in 'Table' with Web Application Designer (WAD). First, I have placed the 'Drop-down box' web-item and 'Table' web-item below it in the Web Template. There is an half-inch of space between the 'Drop-down box' and the 'Table' when it displays on the browser. It doesn't look good with this gap.
      How can I eliminate or minimize this gap, PLEASE ?.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ingo & Hari,
       Thanks a lot for your help. Now it reduced the gap between the drop-down box and table to 3mm on browser.
    But, there is no gap on web template. If we change some settings, we could still further reduce the gap while displaying it on browser.
      Any new suggestions, PLEASE.  Thanks again.

  • Read from Text File.vi adds spaces between characters

    I'm openning a text file in LabVIEW, and and need to parse some information from it.  However, when I open the file, there are extra spaces between the letters.  When I just open the same file with Notepad or Wordpad, the spaces are not there.  Is there a way to eliminate this problem?

    And, since after the \FF\FE, every other character is \00, you can even do a homebrew quick&dirty solution.
    Are the files always like that, or are some "normal"?

  • How do I reduce the space between the images in the fotopage?

    Hi
    I have made a Photopage - and some of the Photos are croped and when I add them to the page there is a loot of space between the one above and underneath
    look at this screen shot
    http://skitch.com/baiaz/n8un4/iweb
    or go to my photopage:
    http://web.me.com/baiaz/Adino/Galleri/Sider/UKE1.html
    Then you will see what I mean.
    Is there a way to make them more even???? So the gap is not that big when I crop the photos?

    The photogrid is square. Your pictures are rectangle. That's difficult to fit.
    To change the settings of the photogrid, click on an image.
    You can change the number of columns, the spacing between the images, the numbers of lines for the caption and the number of pictures on a page.
    It's all there.
