Eliminating duplicates in albums

I have some large albums in Elements 9 Organizer and for various reasons some contain duplicates. Will I have to manually eliminate them or is there a feature in Organizer that will recognize and eliminate the duplicates? Thanks.

IOS 5 Duplicate Photo Albums

iOS 5 produces exact duplicate photo albums in my Photos on my iPhone.
Before syncing photos from my PC I had Camera Roll and Photo Stream.
In iTunes I configured my iPhone to sync with a folder containing photos, for this example we'll call it FolderX.
When the iPhone synced with that folder it created TWO albums, one called FolderX and one called Photo Library and they BOTH have the EXACT same photos.
So now I have Camera Roll, Photo Stream, Photo Library, and FolderX with the last two albums having the precise same number of the exact same photos.
I do not need this. I do not need two photo albums with the exact same pics. Why on God's green Earth would they make it do this?
When I click the "edit" button I do not get the option to to do anything to the albums except the FolderX album, and it only has the option to move it, but alas, it really doesn't let you move it even though the button is there.
I have already deleted all iPhone and iPod photo cache folders and resynced.
What do I need to do to have only one album on my iPhone with my photos, and not two?

Yeah this is REALLY frustrating. It happened to me when I "upgraded" to iOS 5. I've managed to figure out how to get rid of the duplicate photo albums by making a new folder outside the iPhone folder on my PC which is located in "My Pictures" on my computer. I moved all the pictures from my actual iPhone to this new backup folder plus copied what was in the iPhone folder on my PC.
Once I was sure I had backed up all my pictures taken with my iPhone I deleted everything in the "iPhone" folder on my PC including the iPhone Cache folder. I synced from the folder "iPhone" which was now empty & it made the duplicate albums disappear.
I tried syncing from the backup folder to using iTunes & WHAM duplicate photo albums again!!! All the same pictures but now one had the name "Photo Album" & the other duplicate was named the folder that I synced from. IRRITATING!!!!
So I got rid of the duplicate albums by deleting everything in the iPhone folder on my PC & syncing from that folder chosen in iTunes. It's a drag that I can't load up my pictures to enjoy or share without duplicate albums showing up. I want to be able to put pictures from my computer to "Camera Roll" which allows me to delete whatever I don't want easily.
I hate that Apple has made this iCloud thing so duplicate folders show up on my phone without my ability to just delete pictures from those albums or delete the albums easily from my phone.
FIX FIX FIX it Apple!
I should also note that I never allowed iCloud services on my iPhone & have NOT downloaded the service to my computer either. I don't want anything to do with iCloud.

What's the best approach/program for finding and eliminating duplicate photos on my hard drive? I have a "somewhat" older version of iPhoto (5.0.4), and it doesn't seem to offer anything like that except during the importing phase of syncing my phone...

I wonder, is there room to transfer them to your phone, & then back to filter them?

Duplicate music albums and song listing after updating to iOS 5

Anyone else seeing duplicate music albums in carousel mode? After updating to iOS 5 i notice a few albums have duplicate albums or song listing.
I have 1 album thats duplicated 8 times in carousel mode and twice in album listing, none are excalty the same. Example 8 albums, each either holds all the songs or part of the album. Duplicate albums would 3-4 of the same songs, although there is only one file when viewing thru itunes.

Thanks but i just tired that ad it didnt work either. All my albums are in order with tracks, artist, disc and etc. Never had a problem with this when i was on iOS 4.
Additional Note: Videos no longer continue where i left off even though the option to do so has been selected.
Anyone experiencing lag on their Touch Gen4? Like shutter sound when you put the screen to sleep takes a second after the button is pressed which use to be instant.

Ipod duplicates an album, but itunes shows it only once.

Mi ipod touch has started to duplicate several albums, but my itunes only shows a single copy. The difference between the 2 albums is that one copy will have several tracks missing while the other will be complete. If I delete the one with missing tracks from the ipod it deletes those tracks from the other album, so I end up with just 2 or 3 tracks. I have tried deleting it in itunes and syncing the ipod and then re-adding the album to itunes. This is just a waste of time as it always re-syncs the ipod with both copies again. If anyone can help I would be greateful.

I have this exact same problem.. exactly.. and it breaks my balls. I am not OCD about songs, but it's nice to be able to put all the songs of one artist on, without whole albums being repeated with other albums missing songs like you said. I hope someone cleans this act up for us. Peace
UPDATE: I might have figured it out... randomly some songs in an album are marked as "part of compilation". It turns out this is messing everything up! when you untick it and add them back into your ipod.. ORDER IS RESTORED!! YES!!! i was losing sleep with this ****. x

How can I delete duplicate music albums from my iPad 2?

After installing iOS 7, I needed to sync some itunes music to my iPad2. After running the sync process, I wound up with 64 albums instead of the 24 listed in my itunes account. For some very strange reason, the music albums were duplicated (I am NOT making this up!!).
I can only delete ONE song at a time, BUT when I delete a song from one album, it is also deleted from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th duplicate albums. I am reading to toss itunes and the iPad both!!! If I didn't love reading books on my iPad, I think I would toss it at this point. If I continued to delete one song at a time, wouldn't I eventually delete ALL the songs???? ARRRRRGH!!
In addition, I have been searching for 2 days for any other iPad users who may have had this happen to them, but I have found nothing on the discussion site. ALL I have found is the suggestion to delete ONE song at a time. HELP!! I have seen questions similar to this regarding iPhones and iPods.

I have same problem, you can only delete one song at a time but if you chose the one without the icloud on the right, slide finger from right to left on the song, red delete box appears, click delete, this will remove that song only and leave the other icloud songs in place. Long job, put coffee machine on, worked for me, good luck

How do I eliminate duplicates in iPhoto 08? If this has been answered before, I couldn't find it - sorry.
I have up to 4 copies showing of hundreds and hundreds of pics. I don't relish the thought of eliminating dups one at a time. Please advise and thank you.

Duplicate photo albums

Hi,
Just a quick one. When I select the following:
1. one of my Apple TV's in the iTunes 'DEVICES' list
2. the 'Photos' tab for that device
3. the 'Sync photos from iPhoto' radio button (selecting iPhoto from the drop down)
4. the 'Selected albums' radio button
I see not only a list of the albums I've created in iPhoto but also a list of created and published web galleries. These web galleries have the same name as the albums so I'm getting duplicates.
Anyone know of anyway of not showing the web galleries here and thus getting rid of the duplicates?

The problem is your question is vague. How did you sync to your phone? What settings? Does this Album mirror an Event? Have you synced both? What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? and the OS on the Phone?

Photos in new album are resorted.
How can I force the duplicate to retain sorting order of original album?
Snow Leopard version of iPhoto did not resort photos in duplicate album.
Workaround is to delete all photos in the duplicate album, and Copy/Paste all the photos from the original.
This retains the sorting order. But what a lot of unnecessary steps!

In Photos you need to show the side bar then right click to arrange your photos.

Can I delete duplicate smart albums off iPhone 6?

Somehow I have duplicate albums of "Panoramas", "Videos" and "Slo-mo" videos on my iPhone 6. I can't find a way to delete the duplicates and just have one album of each. Can anyone help with this?

If the albums were placed on the phone by syncing from a computer using iTunes, the way to delete them is to sync again using iTunes but with different settings. After connecting the phone to the computer select the phone in iTunes and then on the Photos page of iTunes remove the checkmark in front of "Sync Photos From" (to delete all previously synced photos) or change the albums/folders selected if you only want to delete some. Each time you sync, the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone are set to match the current iTunes settings. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

I have a issue with the package for intercompany elimination, when I run the package the first time the eliminations is correct but when I run the same packege other wise the system generate duplicate records, is there any way to prevent this?

this is wrong because I want to execute the package any times and the result should be the same (100)

thanks for your prompt reply but I still have the same problem, and check the dimension and I have set datasrc Y to the members to be eliminated, plus I have the flow dimension as closing.
The workaround I'm doing is deleting and re-run the eliminations Interunit

Eliminating duplicate loops when Soundtrack installed

I've noticed in GarageBand that I have many duplicate items in the loops browser. Almost every sample, if not all, is present in the list twice. Soundtrack (and FCE) came preinstalled on my Mac when I bought it from Apple, but I don't use Soundtrack. I rarely use GarageBand. I'd like to get rid of the duplicates to free up space, if possible.
Where are the music loops and sample sounds stored for Soundtrack and GarageBand? Can I easily remove one of the two sets? Is it better to remove the GarageBand-related sounds or the Soundtrack ones?
