Elite status upgrade

Good Morning.
On the 6th of Novemeber Best Buy emailed me a Elite status to Feburary 2015. I've been checking to see if i would recicve a card or a notice for the Black Friday pre-sales. Besides the normal emails i recive i have gotten nothing to confirm my elite status. Is there anyway to have my status moved to Elite?

After using the email address you registered with the forum to review your My Best Buy™ account, it appears that your status has in-fact been upgraded to Elite; however, you do currently have two active My Best Buy™ accounts, which is probably why you do not see the status change when you login to BestBuy.com.
To help better keep tracking of your My Best Buy™ progress, I would suggest that we merge your two accounts.  I should have no problem merging them, as long as they share the same information.  Once your accounts have been merged, we will then just want to make sure your primary account is linked to your BestBuy.com account.
I am going to need some additional information from you before I can look into merging your accounts, so I will be sending you a private message to gather that information.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.

  • SE14 Status-UPGRADE-Table does not exist in the database

    Folks,
    I have created a ztable with SPRAS and few Char fields and generated a table maintenance generator.In the Dev it is working fine but when I moved the TR to Q TR ended up with errrors "Generation of Programs and Screens".When I check in Q in SE11 I am able to see the table but with an error message "Table doesn't exist in the database".
    SE14 Status for this table is getting shown as UPGRADE in Q.
    Can anyone here throw some light on what exactly this status UPGRADE means and how it gets set in SE14.
    In DEV,I had checked the DATABASE OBJECT>>CHECK>DISPLAY and RUNTIME OBJECT>>CHECK>>DISPLAY and it is showing Database object is consistent but where as the same in Q is showing "Table is not created in the Database".

  • Expiration of Reward points and status change from elite status how does this happen?

    My rewards point have expired and my elite status has changed. How does this happen?

    I can understand questioning why your account status may have been downgraded.  To have retained Elite status, you would need to have spent $1500 on eligible BestBuy.com and Best Buy store purchases during the 2013 calendar year.  If you did not spend at least $1500 by 12/31/2013, then your account status would have been downgraded sometime in February.
    From what I can see after looking over your My Best Buy account, you had a $20 certificate that expired in September 2013.  Prior to some program changes that went into effect last year, a certificate would have expired 90 days (180 days for Premier Silver/Elite Plus members) after it was originally issued.  Once a certificate has officially expired, we are unable to issue a new one.

  • What happens to my points when elite status runs out?

    if i choose the bank option, and my elite status runs out.. do you guys just auto send a cirtificate? or let me keep the bank option?

    Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for posting!
    If you were to not requalify for Elite status before the end of the 2014 calendar year, then your status would be downgraded to core in February 2015.  Any points in your account at that time would be converted into certificates down to the $5 level with any remaining points to be forfeited.  For example, if you had 300 points in your account, then a $5 certificate (250 points = $5) would be issued and 50 points would be forfeited.

  • Elite Status Qualification Question

    I just had a question about Elite Status qualification.  Earlier this year, I purchased 2 iPad Air devices.  I used gift cards on these devices that I had saved for quite some time and I realize that zero points are earned for gift card usage; however, I noticed that I also did not receive any "Elite Status" qualification dollars for the amount of the purchases that were paid via gift cards.
    I understand not getting points for use of the gift cards and I also undertand not getting dollar credit for the amount of the reward zone certificates used on the purchases (well, I concede that point anyway).  But, it doesn't seem fair that the payment method of gift card should make it appear like I didn't spend the money at Best Buy towards the status qualifications.

    Thank you for taking the time to post your question to the forum!
    A purchase made with a gift card does not qualify for points AND does not count towards reaching Elite/Elite Plus status.  The reason being is that most gift cards are not purchased by the customer redeeming them or they were included as part of a promotional offer, so no actual money is exchanged.  If you had purchased any of the gift cards that were used or if the customer that did purchase them is My Best Buy member, then points should have already been awarded for the original purchase of the gift cards.  Those purchases would have also countered towards you or the other customer reaching Elite/Elite Plus status.  Basically, a gift card is not going to qualify for points or count toward reaching a higher status between multiple purchases.

  • Elite Status can bank points, correct?

    I have Elite status with MyBestBuy Rewards program, and I was under the impression I could bank my points so they don't turn into certificates without me saying to become a certificate and save them. I just got an email saying I had a certificate about to expire. I did not authorize my points to be turned into a certificate though and I was just wanting to bank all my points and build up until I saved enough for something I want to buy. Why did it automatically turn them into a certificate that I now have to use when didn't want to?

    As a member with Elite status, you should have the option to BANK your points.  To start banking points, you would need to login to MyBestBuy.com and change your certificate preference from a certificate level ($5, $10, $20) to BANK.  Once that change has been made, it may take 24 hours for the system to update.

  • Elite status for 2015

    Last week the My Best Buy rewards site showed that I spent 1551 dollars this year which made eligible for Elite status in 2015.  I checked today and now that amount shows 869 dollars.
    I didn't return any purchases within the last month so I don't know why this changed.

    I pulled up your My Best Buy account using the email address you registered with the forum, and from what I can see, you currently have about 1500 points with a spending total of $869.  I went over your entire purchase history from the 2014 calendar year and I am not finding where you would have spent almost $1500, which is what needs to be spent in-order to qualify for Elite status.
    Please keep in mind that it can take up to 35 days for a purchase to reflect within the Elite/Elite Plus spending bar, and that purchases made with a gift card or certificate are not included.  If after going over your purchase history you feel that you should qualify for Elite status, then send me a private message and I will take a second look.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button in my signature.

  • Preorder Video Game and Elite Status

    Good morning, I have a question regarding a pre-ordered video game and my elite status. For the first time last year I qualified for Elite during the calendar year. I am enjoying the benefits of Elite in 2015 and I'm trying to plan my spending to hopefully remain elite into next year. I'm having difficulty understanding if a pre-ordered video game I made in 2014 will qualify for 2015 spending limits. Arkham Knight was released a few days ago, so my card was just charged, however, when I review my "past orders" it shows the purchase date as when I preordered it in November. Will I receive credit for this purchase for 2015 spending or will it revert back to 2014 spending?  Thank you.

    Good morning meatwad, That is really great question!  A pre-order placed on BestBuy.com would count towards the calendar year in which it was placed, so your pre-order of Batman: Arkham Knight would have counted towards the 2014 calendar year.  It is ultimately based on the transaction date, and since a BestBuy.com order number does not change, it is applied to the corresponding calendar year.  That is also why you have to scroll back to November in your purchase history to see the points you were awarded. A pre-order that is placed in one of our stores usually involves a $5 deposit and then the actual pickup of the item, which is considered two separate transactions.  The second transaction would determine what calendar year the pre-order is applied to when it comes to qualifying for Elite and Elite Plus status.  If you had placed your pre-order in-store back in November and picked it up on release day (6/23/2015), then it would have counted towards the 2015 calendar year. I hope that help answer your question; however, if you have any other My Best Buy™ questions or if you would like for me to go over your account with you in additional detail, then please do not hesitate to send me a private message.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button in my signature that is labeled "Private Message." Thank you for posting to the forum and for being a My Best Buy™ member.

    Thank you for connecting with us on the forum.
    There is a pretty easy answer to your question, which is that a new membership card will not arrive in the mail.  As of 2/1/2015, we are no longer mailing out physical membership cards and have gone digital.  I posted an announcement to the forum back in February, along with a guide that will show you how to access your digital membership card.  The link to my announcement is below.  I used my digital membership over the weekend and it went as smooth as could be.

  • Does paying with a gift card count towards Elite status?

    I know you don't get any points if you pay using a gift card.  Does paying for an order with a gift card count towards Elite and Elite Plus though?

  • Elite e9150t - upgrading coolingfan/heatsink and power supply (suggestions for upgrade?)

    Hey guys, 
    I don't know why I didn't come here first, but here I am.
    Basically, I have the HP elite e9150t model. Great computer... I've already upgraded a few things, but I am looking to do another little upgrade and would love to get some input. It's also Windows 8.1 Pro.
    Alright, I've upgraded the ram to two 8gb kingston chips. I've also upgraded the video card to a GeForce 660 GTX. Now I am looking to upgrade my power supply and cooling unit. I've been running into problems where my computer will start to overheat when playing games. I can render out things easily enough with 3D software like Maya, but games make the system chug. That's why I've decided to upgrade the cooling unit and figured I should do the same for my power supply as well since it still has the 460w unit. I'd love to get this ugpraded to the point that I can play games with high settings and not worry about my computer dying on me from heat related injuries. I'm not looking to play games like Watch Dogs at the highest setting. I'd LOVE to have that, but I doubt I could squeeze that out right now. I would, however, love to play a game like Wildstar on their ultra setting (which I feel should be doable with my system).
    Also, I am pretty much ignorant when it comes to computer hardware. When I say this, I am not exaggerating. I really have no idea what I am doing when it comes to this part of computers. Here are the two items that were suggested to me. Keep in mind, that I am on a budget right now (starting a new job next week after graduating this past week), so this is about what I can afford (this ~price range). I've also added a fan to the side panel of the computer (well I didn't, but the guy I bought it from did).

    It was actually suggested I get the TX3, but I saw that the TX3 does not support LGA 1336 that the HP has.
    1) Case size: I've tried googling what type of case I have because it seems like that is the jelly to any peanut butter question on power supplies and/or cooling units. Will my suggested items fit in the case I have? It looks like a tight fit in there, so I don't know how well they'll fit.
    2) Are the recommended items good: Again, I don't know anything about this stuff and am going purely off recommendations. Are these the items that I do need? 
    3) Another thing bugging me about the video card: Not exactly on topic, but I have the GeForce card in there right now and it's huge. I also have a sound card, but the way the PCI slots are setup, I have to put the sound card directly over the GeForce card (and the Geforce card has a fan on top of it blowing up). This has the heat blowing directly to the sound card. I don't know if this is what I want to do? I read somewhere that I want the video card closest to the heatsink? Could I reverse the order and have the sound card below the video card and still get away with it? It's a nice sound card and it's being wasted right now (not even in the computer).

    I suggest that you do some measuring from the top of the processor to bottom of the removable side panel. You need this measurement to determine if your chosen heat sink cooling  will fit.
    When you install the new power supply then install it fan up pointing to top so that is draws cool air into the power supply from the top side air intake vents.  Measure your existing power supply and look for a high efficiency model with a large fan that will fit in your PC.  If you can find a PSU with a 140 mm fan that will fit then go for it.
    Additional cooling ideas: PCI slot cooling fan and vented PCI slot covers.
    Your particular PC probably has a single width graphics just link my e9280t (same cabinet and mobo).
    BTW--the truckee mobo is not spec'd for 8 GB dimms.
    You have made lots of changes already to your PC so  saying that you know very little appears to be underestimating your own ablities.

  • Bluetooth on a Pavillion Elite (e9270f) upgraded to Win 8.1

    I had been using a USB-based Bluetooth device on this machine as a System 7 OS. I just upgraded to Win 8.1 and the Bluetooth doesn't work with my Android phone anymore. Is HP going to release a driver for Win 8.1?  Thanks

  • Power manager doesn't get battery status upgrade. Embedded Compact 7

    We are using custom Freescale MX53 based board.
    We are using FAKE battery driver as our battery driver base.
    Driver succesfully built and loaded by wec7 (linked with battdrvr_mdd.lib) and I see debug messages when toggling battery.
    But power manager applet knows nothing about my battery status.
    Here are functions we've implemented:
    BatteryPDDGetStatus
    BatteryPDDGetLevels
    BatteryPDDSupportsChangeNotification
    And in our charger interrupt handle thread we've got:
    LOCKBATTERY();
    BatteryAPIGetSystemPowerStatusEx2(&gBatteryContext.st, sizeof(gBatteryContext.st), TRUE);
    UNLOCKBATTERY();
    PowerPolicyNotify(PPN_POWERCHANGE, 0);
    We see in debug that
    BatteryAPIGetSystemPowerStatusEx2
    calling
    BatteryPDDGetStatus(PSYSTEM_POWER_STATUS_EX2 pstatus, PBOOL pfBatteriesChangedSinceLastCall)
    But nothing changing in power manager. It always shows that power supply connected and battery is charging. Even if

    Where can be the problem?

    Are you sure you have the battery driver added from the catalog to the OS design?
    It is under Core OS Services->Battery Driver.
    Also you have to have the BSP battery driver added.

  • I should be elite but my status isn't and I autoredeemed a $35 cert and lost it for some reason.

    Is there any reason why this happened or should I wait till after the Black Friday chaos to get it fixed or will it be fixed after it.

    Once you have spent the $1500 on eligible Best Buy purchases that is required to reach Elite status, your My Best Buy™ status should be upgraded within about 20 days.  I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum, and it does appear that you should qualify for Elite status; however, it may be a couple weeks before your status is officially upgraded.
    You should be able to view your $35 certificate by logging into your My Best Buy™ account on BestBuy.com.  To ensure that you are able to view that certificate and to see if I can help answer any other questions you may have, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.

  • Worth upgrading from Elite to Elite Plus?

    I am about $195 shy of hitting the Elite plus level. Not sure if it is worth my while to spend another $200 to hit the Elite+ level or just stay put at Elite. 
    I am pretty sure I won't be making as many big purchases as I did this year in the following year and also I shop online a lot from other stores as well....I am not seeing any major benefits of having Elite+ account at this point. 
    Could anyone share their experience here if they were in the same boat...if Elite+ was totally worth it or not...Thanks!

    Congratulations on your Elite status and almost making it to Elite Plus! It is disheartening to hear that you may not feel becoming a My Best Buy™ Elite Plus customer is worth the remaining $195 it would take to get you there. 
    With Elite Plus, you would receive a 25% point bonus (an additional 15% on top of the 10% you receive as an Elite customer) as well as an extended return and exchange period of 45 days, whereas an Elite member receives 30. Furthermore, while you currently qualify for free standard shipping regardless of the order total, you would receive free expedited shipping.
