EM 12c doesn't discover OAS targets

Hi everyone,
I've added 2 agents in my recently configured EM12c. Both of them have an Oracle Application Server with the same applications running in it (they are just a mirror for some operations). For some reason EM only recognize the OAS in one of the agents but totally ignores the targets in the other one, and they are just the same thing!! The only thing it discovers is the agent (that was installed and deployed correctly) and the oracle home inside of it, but no sign of the rest of the applications running.
I've tried all the manually add targets options inside the console and also tried with the instructions in this link How to Troubleshoot OEM 12c Cloud Control Auto-Discovery. However I'm running out of ideas, if you have any guidance it will be appreciated.

Well, after giving the correct permissions to the folder the em pointed ($ORACLE_HOME/opmn) I tried the discovering again and it doesn't work. I'm new with oracle and its environment so I'm not quite sure if I'm looking for the correct logs but here is some output I found interesting from the oas host.

After upgrading to Windows 8.1 firefox longer works. I got it to load but screen is either blank or doesn't go to target address

after upgrading to Windows 8.1 from 8 nothing works correctly. Firefox 1st received 'unable to load XPcom' After resetting and uninstalling several times Firefox now loads to either a support screen or blank screen. It accepts address input but doesn't execute to target. So far I have been unable to roll back upgrade.
Although IE11 works, it doesn't work correctly.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If you keep having problems then do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

I understand. I was very unhappy with Adobe when my PSE 11 stoped working properly. I had it for only about 6-7months before I updated my software on my imac and it all went downhill.... Then to add to that my Adobe account was hacked. Adobe never informed me of this situation. I heard through a friend that I should check to see if I was one of the very many who's online accounts were tampered with. I had to reset every single password and username for nearly 30 online accounts to avoid any further tampering with the hackers. And all Adobe suggested was for me to pay for an upgrade to PSE 12 which I did but wasnt very impressed to say the least ( i was on an online chat with them for over 2hours trying to get my PSE 11 issues solved to no avail). Then this sluggish performance starts happening again using the new version PSE 12?. I'm going to stay clear of adobe if I have the option to purchase similiar software from another supplier. I would and will encourage anyone else who has problems with there software to do the same. Older versions should work perfectly fine for ages. I wonder If Adobe is trying to get us all to pay for the monthly subscription option(s) to avoid having issues with older versions of their software. As the subscription option keeps you ontop of all the latest versions... I wouldn't put it past them.

Em grid 12c doesn't discorer db 9i

Hello,
I install the agent from the emgrid on a machine with an oracle db 9i.
All the installation is going fine but when i try to add the database on grid the discover process on the machine doesn't find nothing.
I check the agent status and it is up and running.

Only 9.2.0.8 db target is certified with 12C to monitor.
Deploy the latest database plugin to OMS and Agent as per the following note:
Note 1388143.1 - How to Deploy Latest Database Plugin to OMS and Agent in 12C Cloud Control
Once the latest plugin is deployed, add the database target as per the steps mentioned above.

OEM 12c unable ot discover Weblogic 10.0.1.0

I have OEM 12c grid installed and Agent 12c running on the remote host. I have weblogic 10.0.1.0 installed in the remote host. The agent is unable to discover the domain. It is failing with below error...
"Failed to discover WebLogic. Check host,port,credentials,protocol and be sure the server is running and the same farm is not already added. This UI can not be used to discover WebLogic version 7.x to 8.x. Exception: No targets discovered"
I can login to the console appication with the ip:port and credentials.. but failing while trying to discover thru the Grid Control.

I then created a empty doman on the same remote host for the same weblogic version. I was able to attch this one and not the other domain.
I am ruling out OM Grid Server - Agent connectivity issues, since the new empty domain I created can communicate to server.
I tried to check what is different between domains...
The WLD that has the issue is a clustered Domain , and has:
- 9 Managed Servers
- Not SSL enabled
- Many Application deployed
- JDBC connections
- has a custom build authentication provider for Authentication. But i made sure the user id is valid and even can login to the console.
** The new Domain is an empty one - no applications deployed.

Unable to use debug mode for x64 application and debug doesn't work when target cpu set to x86

I am attempting to familiarize myself with Visual Basic programming in Visual Studio 2008, using the Visual Basic Guided Tour in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Documentation, and have run into a bit of a road-block. When following the lesson "It
Doesn't Work! Finding and Eliminating Run-Time Errors", the IDE does not allow me to edit the code when the debugger hits the intentionally programmed runtime error (divisor set to 0). It gives me an error that "Changes to 64 bit applications
are not allowed". I found some forum postings advising to set the project's Target CPU from "Any CPU" to "x86". However, when I do that, and re-execute the debug process, the debug fails to stop on the overflow/divide by
zero error.
How can I debug my programs when Any CPU/x64 target doesn't allow me to edit the code, and x86 target doesn't appear to recognize obvious runtime errors.

I'm afraid that the VS2008 has a limitation for this feature, I mean that Edit and Continue isn't supported on 64-bit.

WLS Console doesn't reload chosen "Targets-Sever"

When I chose the "Targets-Server" in the WebLogic 6.1 console under Windows 2K
even though it writes the chosen target to the config.xml file it doesn't load
them when I re-start WebLogic Server. I then re-chose the "Targets-Sever" from
the console, which will again be written to the config.xml file, now with two
entries. I have to do this up to many times before I will get the "Start-up" class
or my JDBC drivers loaded at start-up, even though the Config.xml says the "target-server"
name.

Curious if you were ever able to find a resolution to this issue?
I am facing the same thing now with our Ant scripts and WL10.3 connection pools/datasources.
I would like to either specify a different LegacyType or suppress it altogether. Any help would be appreciated.

Error in loading Target table doesn't exist in target schema

I am having the following error to load data to the target
table: Connection failed to HR_TGT.orders ora-000942.
'Table or view does not exist'
The table exists and the odi super user has all the priviliges
over tables in HR_TGT.
What could be wrong with my configuration

I am using the original Oracle Integration KM.

I have deleted the extract ODISC and ODIT1P as well as the checkpionttable ODIW.ODIOGGCKPT
Recreated the items.
I did same thing with the replicat ODIT1A1
The extracts had always started with little difficulties but the replicat once started but didn't transmit integrated data to
the target.
Now it is not starting at all.
I have deleted and recreate it but the same results

I have the same problem as well. Tried all the fixes that were done to discover Exchange 2010 Edge servers. Cant discover the 2013 Edge Server.

Problem discovering host targets - Routing error

I am trying to discover targets using the auto discovery, and I get an error related to the nmap command.
I tried with a privileged user as well as the root user, but both ways it fails with the error below:

Ok. Just confirming this is a vanilla linux install and hardware.
Network discover (Nmap) must be run as root user. And in EM that means you must configure privilege delegation and sudo/pbrun on the host running nmap. You mentioned you tried privilege delegation before so I assume you have this configured correctly and tested.
If you still have issue, then please open an SR as we will need the logs and more details of the host to troubleshoot.

MAX doesn't discover cFP-2120 under VISTA

Hi All!
   In a PC with Windows VISTA, MAX 4.3, with latest fieldPoint drivers (6.0) doesn't see cFP-2120 modules.
   I'm connecting to an unconfigurated module, and it is not seen from MAX. At the beginning of this test, I could connect to an already configured cFP-2120 module, which resides on the same subnet. Now, I can't do that!
   Note that, in the same PC, I run a Virtual Machine with Windows XP, and older MAX 3.1.1, with this I can see both modules (separately, since I use crossed cable from PC to cFP).
   The Virtual Machine, when launched, run on the VISTA OS.
   I suspect that there's something I'm missing of VISTA network configuration, a packet filtering, or something like that. I've seen many options in VISTA, for Ethernet adapter advanced properties....
   Of course, I've already turned off all firewall, antivirus, and antivirus' own firewall.
   The strange thing is that with this same PC, I configured a week ago a cFP-2120, but since I'm not the only one working with this laptop, maybe someone changed something.

New MBP 15" doesn't discover my bluetooth keyboard or trackpad

I've used the setup assistant to try to setup my new MacBook with my bluetooth keyboard and magic trackpad. I've tried several times and both are discovered but neither will connect.
I used these devices on my old computer which is still in use in the house. Would that cause any problems? I turned the bluetooth off in my old MacBook.
Any ideas? thanks

Thanks. I did read through everything on that thread. I didn't find help. Maybe I can explain the problem a little better now though:
I got a new MBP, I have an Apple bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. Yesterday, and all this year both devices were working on my older MBP.
Now, "discoverable" under the top bluetooth icon is grayed out. (Also, in the Sys Prefs I have Discoverable checked.) I can pull down below, have the bluetooth on, and I can see both devices and am given the opportunity to connect but they both show red dots and don't connect.
So, has the computer actually "discovered" the devices? I haven't been prompted to pair them up. I think they already are, due to the presence of the red dots next to ea device. I just can't get those little dots to turn green and allow me to use my keyboard & trackpad...

'Save as' in CS3 action doesn't change to target directory

I just re-built my PC with Vista x64 and re-installed PS CS3 from scratch upgrading to 10.0.1 from the auto update. I need this for LR2 to integrate.
Since the re-build (I was on XP x64 previously) one of my actions which includes a 'Save As', which saves the image to a specified directory and as a JPG (not the directory the image opens from), is unexpectedly displaying the 'save as' dialog, waiting for manual input. This opens on the source image directory, suggesting it's ignored the suggested destination path, and it suggests the PSD file type rather than JPG as suggested in the action. It seems to be looking for input simply because it thinks I'm trying to overwrite the original image file.
Anyone else seeing issues like this running under Vista x64?

Figured this out! My images were in 16bit and weren't converting to 8 bit before the Save As action was hit, hence the dialog!
All working fine now.
