Em space and en space

Is there a keyboard shortcut to insert an em space into Photoshop?
I'm tired of copy pasting from Indesign.

Thanks. Too bad.
There are unicode characters for spaces if one does a search on the web. But these don't seem to work too well. U+2003 is supposed to be em space. Its all rather confusing because typing that results in all sorts of results depending on the font. I understand that not all fonts support the same unicode characters. ...but even "Arial Unicode" doesn't give the expected result.
I'm wondering what exactly is stored in the clipboard between Indesign and Photoshop. ...anyhow, its not that serious.

  • The Property Inspector is missing the V Space and H Space fields in DW6 - where did they go?

    I just downloaded DW6.  The Property Inspector is missing the V Space and H Space fields, therefore I am unable to add space around my images.  Suggestions?

    It is no longer available because the problem with that was that it applied spaces around the image rather than where the user actually wanted them.  You now need to use CSS and apply margins and paddings and target exactly where you want them by using something like this:
    img {
        margin-bottom: 0;
        margin-right: 0;
        margin-left: 0;
        margin-top: 0;
        padding-top: 0;
        padding-right: 0;
        padding-bottom: 0;
        padding-left: 0;
    img {
         border: 0;
         padding: 0;
    The second style is generic to set margin and padding for all four sides.
    Good luck.

  • How can I calculate disk space/DB space and storage spaces.

    Hi all,
    How can I calculate space clauses and memory related parameters for tables and table spaces? Updation is not allowed in these tables.
    I have to create a database also.
    I expect a reply with examples.
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    Thanks for all replies .

    Boby,
    The formula to estimate the storage parameters for tables and indexes are the following:
    Table size = db block size * (# of Estimated rows in 12 months * average row length)/(db block size-90) *(1-PCTFREE/100)
    Let assume that you want to create a table called Jose_tab,
    db block size = 4092
    Estimated row length in 12 months = 1000
    Average row len = 100
    PCTFREE(Updation is not allowed) = 0
    Then, your INITIAL storage parameter will be estimated as follows:
    4092*1000*100
    (4092-90)*(1-0/100)
    = About 10M
    Your create table command will look like this,
    CREATE TABLE jose_tab
    (col1 VARCHAR2(10), col2 NUMBER(2),
    ....coln VARCHAR2(100))
    STORAGE(INITIAL 10M NEXT 10M
    PCTINCREASE 0)
    PCTFREE 0 PCTUSED 80
    TABLESPACE tablespace_name;
    Storage parameters for tablespace depends on the amount of disk space available. You can ignore tablespace storage parameters since the size of the tablespace is determined by the size(s) of the data files. Refer to the DBA manual for details.

  • Word 2008 line spacing.. is single space and double space all messed up?

    Very basic here: in print layout view (only one I am using) the single spacing and double spacing seem so far apart. Single spacing is way too far apart. Is anyone else seeing this?

    That is the issue. I am hitting enter and getting a big space. I see a similar thing in Pages. All I know is tht in 2004 version, I start all my papers with 4 lines in top corner (name-enter/date-enter/assignment/class#-enter) I do these with single space just by default on Word.
    THen I go to format-paragraph-double space, and do my writing--double spaced.
    This is weird to me. I like word 2008, looks nice, notebook is cool. But I don't like having to re-learn that stuff. Is this how everybody does this? Everyone out of the box can not just type and choose single/double space? We have to edit some paragraph spacing? HUH?

  • Group Space and Personal Space not listed

    Version used : 11.1.1.4
    When I login to WebCenter Spaces as an administrator, I do not get the option to create a Group Space. I get links for Favourites, Logout, Help, Spaces, Administation but not for Group Space. Why is it so. I all the tutorials for WC these options are available but when I want to explore group Space I cannot do so in WebCenter Spaces.
    Also, Is it possible to create Group Spaces for a custom Space created (other than the default webcenter space) ?
    Any help/pointers much appreciated.

    I think in WC 11.1.1.4, only space concept is used. I also dont see any group or personal spaces in my Webcenter ps3 app. All we can do is create a space or subspaces or business role pages and assign the role or users to it. In that way we can decide it will be a personal or belong to a group.

  • Difference between used disk space and folder space

    My startup harddrive (an SSD) info gives that 88 GB are used. If I open it in OS X and look at info for all the folders in it, their summed used space is 24GB. Thus 64 GB are used to unknown purpose and cannot be used.
    This problem seems to appear from using migration assistant to transfer from my old mac to a slightly newer. Both running Yosemite 10.10.1. I had to shutdown the migration because the computers seemed so lose contact with each other and the end of the migration seemed to go on for ever.

  • Wireless keyboard n key is putting a space and my space bar does not work

    My wireless key board keys are not working ... my n key adds a space my space bar is = and my delete is arrow left... no clear pattern to the incorrect key strokes.  I have gone into language and text and keyboard and it does not help. I also rebooted and removed batteries

    m, n, and space are only one bit apart in the code they generate. It sounds like it might be a hardware problem in the keyboard.

  • Group Spaces and Spaces

    Is there any difference in Group Space and Space?
    Most of the webcenter spaces tutorials show an option of creating a "Group Space", however when I login to WC Spaces as an admin I never see an option to "Create a Group Space" . All I see is "Create Space".

    Space and Group space are same thing. In old webcenter documentation, you will see term Group Space, but now in newer version like 11G PS3 the term is Space.

    Personal space and group space terms are no longer used in PS3. You can design your personal space using create space functionality. Sidebar is also not available as a out of the box feature in PS3.
    Pls refer to latest documentation of Oracle WebCenter Space user guide:-

  • Disable population of 'Cash flow from' on rental  and pool space

    Hello,
    We want to disable the population of a date on  the 'cash flow from' field on the rental space and pool space. We want this field to remain blank when a new pool space or rental space is created. Please advise how this can be done.
    Any hints will be appreciated

    Hi,
    You can do this by making the filed Start Date of Cash Flow display in the Create activity in the following Customization.
    RECACUST > Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) > Master Data > Usage View > Rental Object > Dialog > Field Status
    In Field Status select Activity 01 (Create)  click on Field Grouping and set the field Start Date of Cash Flow as Display.
    But make sure that in the Activity  02 (Change) the filed is set as optional so that you can enter Cash Flow From in the change view for the Rental Object.

  • What is difference between table space and shchema

    what is difference between table space and shchema ?

    784633 wrote:
    so each user has it own space of tables - schema ?yes, but let's clarify a bit ....
    The "schema" is the collection of all objects owned by a particular user. So if user SCOTT creates two tables, EMP and DEPT, and a view EMP_RPT, and a procedure GET_MY_EMP, those objects (tables, views, procedures) collectively make up the SCOTT schema.
    Those objects will be physically stored in a tablespace.
    A tablespace is a named collection of data files. So tablespace USERS will be made up of one or more data files. A specific datafile can belong to one and only one tablespace. If a tablespace has more than one data file, oracle will manage those files as a collection invisible to the application - much like the OS or disk subsystem handles striping across multiple physical disks.
    A specific object in the SCOTT schema can exist in only one tablespace, but not all objects of the schema have to be in the same tablespace. Likewise a tablespace can contain objects from multiple schemas.
    and can one user to access tables of other users?As others have said - FRED can access tables belonging to SCOTT as long has SCOTT has granted that access to FRED.

  • Should I keep my MacBook Pro or exchange it for more Ram and SSD space?

    Hello,
    I decided to purchase a MacBook Pro 15 inch with Retina display. I thought I would just bite the bullet and get it with the upgraded 16gb Ram and 512 SSD as I want this computer to last me at least 5 years. I don't know exactly what I will be using it for but potentially I will be running a small business with it as well as using it for photos, some videos and all the other things we all use everyday. This brought the total price tag up to about $2900 before tax. Way more than I wanted to spend, but again, I plan on this being my last computer purchase for at least 5 years...and this would be my only computer...not a secondary one but the primary one.
    As I was asking the guy in Best Buy about any sales or discounts, he mentioned a MacBook Pro with retina display that was just retuned to the store by a lady that decided to go with a MacBook Air instead.  It had been opened but not used and was in perfect condition. The sales manager said he could sell that one to me for $470 off the normal price. The problem was, it was the base model and only had 8gb Ram and 256gb SSD storage. So, I had the option of buying the computer I wanted...that I know would last me for years and years, for $2,900 OR buy the base model for $1,729. What would you do?
    I decided to buy the base model as it was just to good a deal to pass up. Now, 2 days later, I don't know if I made the right decision. I know that 256gb of memory is not going to last me very long...especially considering how much more space modern software takes up nowadays...and its only getting worse. My solution is to just buy an external hard drive and store everything I don't immediately need on it. But I don't know if I'm being realistic as maybe it will be a major pain to constantly have to carry around an extra storage device. Then again, even if I had the 512 SSD model MacBook, I would still eventually run out of space and need an external drive. Has anyone else relied on an external device for their daily computing needs? Is it a major nuisance or easy to get by with?
    My bigger concern is that it only has 8gb of Ram and can NOT be upgraded in the future. 8gb ram is fine right now, especially with the flash drive and i7 quad core processor, but in a couple years, I'm afraid  it won't be enough and that ill be forced to purchase another computer. The sales manager said that because its a Mac and because of the "monster processor" that the 8gb of Ram will be more than enough for years to come. According to him, Macs require less Ram than PC's due to their operating system being much more efficient. (This is my first Mac so I'm a bit unfamiliar)
    So this is my dellima, should I return the base model and buy the one I originally wanted or should I make do with the base model and be thankful for the great deal I was able to get?
    Will the 8gb of Ram be enough in a few years? I realize that depends on what I'm using the computer for but, since I'm not sure what my needs will be in the next year, lets assume I'll be using it to run a small business as well as the typical storage of pictures and home videos, etc.
    Bottom line, will the 8gb of ram be enough to prevent the need to buy another computer for another 5 years or so or do I need to suck it up, return the base model, pay the extra $1,100 and get the 16gb of ram I originally wanted?
    Sorry for the long story, I just need some solid advice as money is tight and I want to make the right decision. I'd rather pay $1,100 extra now and not need to buy a new computer for 5-6 years than save the money now but have to buy a whole new computer in 1-2 years.  If however, the 8gb ram will still make for a solid computer in a few years, I will gladly save the money.
    Thanks in advance for your help. ;-)

    Generally (and in my opinion):
    1) do not buy any computer you cannot replace the hard drive and the RAM in.
    2) do NOT (EVER, EVER, EVER) purchase RAM or expended hard drive from any vendor (like Apple, Dell, etc).  they mark up the RAM
    purchase the lowest machine that will work for you and upgrade the RAM and hard drive down the road.    Just look at the price Apple charges for the upgrade from 4GB to 8 GB:
    Apple is charging the (4GB RAM + $100) for the 8GB upgrade.  You can easily get 8GB for $100.  later you should be able to get 8GB for $60.
    Same thing for the hard drives:
    Applis charging the price of (500GB + $100) for the 750GB drive.  I just bought a 750GB notebook drive for $99
    I, personally, would return the retina notebook for a MacBookPro that you can upgrade the hd and ram
