但在EM 控制台中，'目标'--> '所有目标' 中的显示，刚静默方式的那台主机未被发现。正常情况下，应该有该主机的'主机'目标和'代理'目标。
如果将agent软件完全卸载，通过控制台的push方式安装agent，则一切正常。。
请教这是怎么回事？

EM12c and GC11g Agent for Windows 2003 R2 64 bit

Hello Everyone,
I have setup a GC 11g on Oracle Linux 64 bit to monitor the servers in the data center.
The problem is, I'm having difficulties installing an agent in Windows 2003 R2 64 bit.
Few months ago when I checked the certification matrix for GC 11g Agent, I saw that it didn't support Windows 2003 R2 64 bit platform.
Apparently, now I cannot choose 11.1.0.1.0 in the certification matrix anymore and have left with 12.1.0.1.0 and 12.1.0.2.0.
However, even the 12c also doesn't put Windows 2003 R2 64 bit platform in the list of supported OS platform.
The strange thing is Windows 2003 R2 32 bit is supported.
So, my questions are:
1. Is there any of you who was successful in implementing the EM12c or GC11g agent on Windows 2003 R2 64 bit?
2. If you are successful, did you experiencing any problem after the installation and during the installation phase?
3. Can I use 10.2.0.5.0 agent which is supported to be installed on Windows 2003 R2 64 bit and managed by either GC11g or EM12c?

Hi Adhika,
Windows 2003 R2 is not supported.
The only supported platforms are :
XP,Vista,7,2008 R2,2008,2003
Even 10.2.0.5 agent is not supported.

Deploy EM12C agent in initialization phase sending agent software error

When deploying EM12C agent in initialization phase - sending agent software to the target host error
The file on the OMS/m02 / midd/OMS/sysman/agent / 12.1.0.2.0 AgentCore226. Zip is copied to the host/m01 ADATMP_2013 on 192.168.165.83-03-28 _11-01-33 - AM failure error message: PROV - 16011: Auth fail
Exit code: 0
(1) authentication user is oracle
(2) the target users oracle sudo ls -l/root this command
(3) the em can SSH login to the target host

Why are you using " - ignorePrereqs " parameter? You should not be using this parameter until advised by Oracle support or running into some know issue. This will ignore all the pre-req check and it is not recommended to skip any failed pre-req checks, which can cause more issues with agent later.
a) from target machine ping omshost
ping <OMS_Hostname>
b)From Agent machine, execute the below
wget http://<OMS_Hostname>:<EM_UPLOAD_PORT>/empbs/genwallet
or
wget https://<OMS_Hostname>:<EM_UPLOAD_PORT>/empbs/genwallet
Anyone of the above should be able to connected to OMS machine.
Above two are working then try the agent install again with out the " - ignorePrereqs " parameter and look into the log file for more detailed error: agent_home/cfgtoollogs/agentdeploy/*.*

EM12c - MSSQL Plugin repository mismatch - agent blocked

Hello All,
I'm trying to deploy a simple MSSQL 2005 & 2005 standalone insltance to the EM12c.
I've deployed the Microsoft SQl Server plugin 12.1.0.2 on the Management Server as well as to the the Management agent on my host.
Yeah I've gotten the following errors whihc suggests that its not been deployed on the agent?

EM12c: Oracle Solaris Sparc Agent unabailable

Hi everyone!
I have this problem. I deployed EM12C on a server (Solaris x86) and I managed to deploy the agent donwloading it with EM12c into a Solaris Sparc.
I was able to view metrics and manage the databases on Solaris Sparc server.
Our client refused to use the Solaris x86, and now we have installed EM12C over a Windows Server. We want to reach the old Solaris Sparc Agent but we are unabailable. I have network connectivity from the W2k to the Sparc and I reach the port. The agent is started but I cant discover it again.

Agent is Running and ReadyEM12c Server hasn't got internet so I cant download the agent again an rediscover it. I've tried to download the Sparc agent and upload it into EM12c but when all of them I always get that the software is too big. And I always see the Agent Software as "Oracle Solaris Sparc Agent unabailable"!

Error deploying Agent from EM12C

Hi,
I am busy upgrading my Enterprise Manager from 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.2 using the two system approach.
I am trying to deploy the agent software to a host machine through the old Enterprise Manager (Deployments, Enterprise Manager 12c Upgrade Comsole, Deploy and Configure Agents) , but an getting the following error during the deploy stage...

while doing the agent upgarde we detach the plugins from 12.1.0.1 agent home and attache dto 12.1.0.2 agent home along with plugin upgrade. log SR with the oracle support and upload the logs.

Does EM12c (12.1.0.1) support MSSQL 2012?

EM12c Upgrade failing at OMS Configuration

I'm in the process of upgrading and migrating from EM 10.2.0.5 on AIX 6.1 to EM12c on RHEL 6.2 via the 2-System Upgrade method. I've been following the steps in the MOS Note "EM 12c: Upgrading to Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12.1.0.1 on Linux x86_64 with the 2-System Method [ID 1367919.1]".

If you follow Sushil's link, the step you should have performed is mentioned in (e) : the emkey should be copied before taking backup; it's mentioned clearly.
Please share exact steps you did to copy the emkey
- when did you run "emctl config emkey" command ; it seems you run it after backup and before starting upgrade to 12c. Please confirm
- did you see a 12c Installer error message for missing emkey ? did that prompt you to copy the emkey?
- on which box/oms you run the "emctl config emkey" command
- which repository details did you use in "emctl config emkey" command; because at this point of time you have a repository of the old running EM and a cloned repository ( from old EM )

Em12c changing oms server hostname - after install

I installed em12c R2 on a server with an incorrect /etc/hosts file. This has meant it has picked up in the configuration files the incorrect hostname.
Is there a straightforward way of changing an oms server hostname after install?

Depending on what you have configured, the steps are a bit different. Basically you need to backup and restore your configuration.
Follow the steps to completely backup your env (OMS, swlib, Repository, Agent, Inventory) for safe keeping. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/ha_backup_recover.htm#autoId4
Export oms config --> key piece here!
Screenshot the OMS agent targets for validation later
Shutdown OMS agent and remove agent targets/host/agent from EM (as these need to be renamed and restored as well)
Shutdown oms
Validate your DNS/hosts file is correct before proceeding!
Then you will follow one of the recovery steps documented (as the software restore portion is not required) - for example single oms, no slb, same host - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/ha_backup_recover.htm#autoId15
Recover agent
Check agent targets, may require refresh of WLS Domain to get all targets in correct status again

Adding or Using OVM templates in the EM12c software library

Hi,
I hope someone can help me :-) I have em12c U1 and OVM Manager (3.0.3) running. I want to use the self-service portal to deplay OVM templates, but I do not seem to figure out how to add my existing OVM templates in the software library and google is not helping either :-(
Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

There are two options to upload OVM Templates and Assemblies in the the EM software library:
Option 1: Using “Upload File Location”
Pre-req: The template or assembly file is downloaded and stored on a machine running EM 12 agent.
Option 2: Using “Referenced File Location”
Pre-req: The template or assembly file is downloaded and stored in an HTTP accessible location.
By definition in Enterprise Manager, an assembly is a .ova file and a OVM Template is a .tgz file.
I am describing the more common option 1 here:
1.     Navigate to Software Library Administration page:
2.     Configure the storage for “Upload File Locations” tab. Note that ONLY “OMS Shared Filesystem” storage type is supported for Oracle Virtual Assemblies.
Create a directory on the OMS machine and added as software library storage.

3.     Create a new folder “Cloud Components” in the software library
4.     Create a “New Entity” for Oracle Virtual Assembly if you are using .ova files. or create a "New Entity" for Templates if you are using the .tgz files
5.     Give a name for the assembly or template component
6.     If you are using the .ova files, then you need to do this extra step of adding an attachment. Browse and pick the .ovf file as attachment. It’ll be named as descriptor.ovf
Note that you will have to unpackage the .ova assembly file and store the .ovf descriptor separately on the machine.
7.     Go to next step to upload the .ova or .tgz file.
8.     Specify the software library location on the OMS machine as destination to upload the .ova file
9.     Make sure you pick “Agent Machine” as the source for the .ova or .tgz file.
Due to the 2 MB restriction, Local Machine cannot be used as a source for Oracle virtual assemblies.
10.     Specify the agent machine where the .ova or .tgz file is located and “Add” the file location
11.     Click next to go to the “Review” step and then “Save and Upload.”
Please make sure you pick “Save and Upload” and NOT “Save.”
12.     Click on the newly create assembly component to verify the details:

-     Describe tab: Shows an attachment descriptor.ovf (this is only if you are using assemblies)
-     Upload Files tab: Should show the .ova or .tgz file in associated files
-     Customize tab: Should show the assembly structure

EM12c displaying Plug-in Error during OMS upgrade

I'm doing a 2-System Upgrade from EM 10.2.0.5 to 12.1. The current OMS is on AIX 6.1 and the new OMS will be installed on RHEL 6.2. After staging the 12.1.0.1 plugins and agents on the source OMS (12.1.0.2 plugins with BP1 only available for Linux/Windows) and backing up my repository I am unable to upgrade to the new OMS because of error message seen in the screenshot below.

The Pre-upgrade Console indicates all agents and targets are upgradeable (green). I used the command ./runInstaller -pluginLocation /u02/orastage/em12c-agents/ to upgrade the agents during the OMS install. The downloaded plug-ins and agents were copied to /u02/orastage/em12c-agents.
I checked the note EM 12c: Upgrading Enterprise Manager from 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.1 Fails with Error: Plugins are not present for installation of the current Management Service [ID 1437063.1] but it's still unclear why I'm getting this error since the plugin version is the same.
Any ideas?

The bp1 for Aix will be released soon. You hav 2 options:
a) you can wait for few more days and then pick the revisied plugins for aix platform and then do the upgrade.
b) If you dont want to wait then you can run a specific sql to trun off the pre-req cheecks as sysman on the clones or backed up repository. Since this is an external form i donnt want to paste the sql here which will expose the repository table/parameters. Can you drop me an email and i will send you the sql.

Can i install em12c in windows7 to access 11gr2db of linux?

i have installed 11gr2 db in oel5.5 os. and im having 2 node rac and 2 node dataguard.
i want to access all the 4 db in one console.
so can i install enterprise manager 12c in my windows 7 (windows version)?
am i have to install agents in all the linux box(this will be linux version)?
or i have to install 12c and agent of linux version in all the linux box?
is there anyother related softwares i have to install for managing multiple databases of multiple linux os in my windows 7 os?

Can't find any other target in Em12c

Hi gurus,
I successfully installed EM12c on my red hat Linux, I only could add the target for EM host, however I can not add any other targets.
I try to add database instance for monitoring via add target manually, after I entered the host name, but i got not target found. on EM host, I can ping the target I want to add and it's lisenter is also up.
please kindly help and suggest, I am not sure if something I missed.

Before you add a database instance target on another server, you first need to deploy the agent to the server where the database runs.
Go to the Setup menu, then Add Target, then Add Targets Manually. Make sure "Add Host Targets" is selected and click "Add Host". You'll have to specify the hostname and operating system and step through the deployment steps.

After the agent is deployed and the host has become a managed target, you can then either add the database instance manually or use the auto-discovery features.

EM12c Install on VmWare Machine

Hello all.
My name is Joe. New here. We are looking at the requirements for EM12c. We have VMWare ESX. We have installed the EM12c on the test VM. We are using the same VM as an agent only to test alerts and incidents. Problem we are having is that the EM12c keeps crashing. CPU is at 100% sometimes. We have 100 Gigs space allocated for the VM. At the moment is 99% full? Also 15gigs of ram allocated.
I guess the question is (I wrote this to one of our analysts)
What we came across is that the VM has 100 GB disk space and almost all of it is being used. Problem is that we are missing around 12 Gigs somewhere!! The hard drive has 97.9 Gigs used but on the properties of the complete C drive (all folders hidden as well) it is only 85 Gigs or so. ?????????? Where are the other 12 Gigs?
Also, the memory allocated for this VM is 15GB of Ram. What is interesting is the CPU Requirements. The OMS requires 2 CPU cores, which we have for this VM, but the repository requires also 2 CPU cores. So does this mean we will need 4 CPU cores if the OMS and the repository are on the same machine or we need 2 VM's. One for each? Maybe this is why the CPU was at 100%?
We are a small business (as outlined in the EM install).
Any help would be appreciated!

The missing 12 GB will come from the swap file I think. If you run the server using Windows you won't see this file by default.
If you look at the hardware requirements ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/install.121/e22624/preinstall_req_hw.htm )
you will see you need about 20 GB for the OMS and about 50 GB for the repository. The OS needs some GB and the database is probably running in archive mode so the archives are also stored on disk. Conclusion: 100GB is not too much to have as disk space. Ask the Administrator to increase the disk to 200GB
