EMac - wireless - bluetooth - RAM

Hi there,
I would like my eMac to get wireless and bluetooth.
I was looking at this airport extreme bluetooth card:
http://www.amazon.com/Airport-Extreme-Bluetooth-Upgrade-M9870Z/dp/B00081A2UO/ref =pdbbs_sr6/104-4400456-2506356?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1173634397&sr=8-6
But I'm not sure if this is compatible with eMac.
Question1:
¿Is the mac mini airport card different or are both macmini and emac the same card?
Question2: If I have 256mb ram ¿can i add a 512mb to the emac empty slot?
Thanks
eMac Superdrive   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   256ram

No it will not work. That kit (wrong picture on Amazon by the way) is for Mac Mini systems ONLY.

Yes you can add 512MB to the empty RAM slot on your machine.

  • T420 Wireless/Bluetooth

Is there a way to turn on or off the wireless/bluetooth radio when the T420 is docked and using an external keyboard? I don't want to open the lid on the T420 every time to use the Fn+F5 keys when docked.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Create a shortcut to C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\TpFnF5.exe, put it wherever you like.

  • Can an older IPod (click wheel) be used with a wireless/bluetooth speaker? If so, how?

Can an older IPod (click wheel) be used with a wireless/bluetooth speaker? If so, how?

There is no doubt you can.
When you say photos stored on it.. in what form are these photos?? Is this your iphoto library?
If so using iphoto library on the TC has risks.. not necessarily viewing photos .. that should be fine. But if you have photos you are editing and wireless comms drop out leaving the library with a file open, it is likely to corrupt your library. Please check with the iphoto people on the discussion board if you want to go ahead for the dangers of using iphoto on any network drive.
The TC is not designed as a NAS .. in particular it cannot back itself up, nor can Time Machine backup the TC. So any files on the TC are at risk. If you manage to corrupt the iphoto library without a current backup... does that worry you??

  • 2 Emac with different Ram

I have two G4 Emacs, both running 10.4.8
The only difference is that Emac 1 has a 1 ghz processor and Emac 2 has a 1.25 ghz processor.
Both have 1 GB of ram.
Surprisingly, Emac 1, the slower 1 ghz processsor, actually works much better with Final Cut Express 3.5
I just discovered that their ram is different.
Emac 1 has type SDRAM while Emac 2 has type DDR SDRAM
Also, Emac 1 has ram with speed PC133U-33, while Emac 2 has PC2700U-25330
Could the ram in Emac 2 possibly be the wrong kind which would maybe explain why it works slower??

Roam, Thanks for the good info. Both computers have their FCE movie files on an external FW drive. I'll try defraghmenting the seemingly slower one.
    Hi fay
Your eMac 1 would be an eMac (ATI Graphics) the same
model that I have, and your eMac 2 would be an eMac
    (USB 2.0)
    eMac (ATI Graphics)
    PC 133 SDRAM :bus speed 133: L2 256KB
    eMac (USB 2.0)
    PC 2700 SDRAM:bus speed 167: L2 512KB
PC 2700 is also known as DDR (Double data rate)SDRAM
because it cycles faster to achieve the higher bus
    speed.
the 33 and 25330 appended at the end are references
    to 3.3V and 2.5V or 3.3V
So the RAM's are correct, but your eMac (USB 2.0)
should be faster for three reasons, faster CPU,
faster bus, and a larger L2 cache.
The performance difference therefore must be because
of different software configuration, which shows how
important that is in getting the most out of your
    computer.

  • Does the MBP support the 'Trust Wireless Bluetooth PC Audio System BT-9300'

Hi, I have just ordered my MBP from apple which won't be delivered until the end of March 2008.
I want to be able to wirelessly transmit the sound from my MBP to my HiFi or other similar audio system, without using any bulky devices.
The 'Trust Wireless Bluetooth PC Audio System BT-9300' offers exactly what I am looking for, but does not state if it is compatible with MacBook Pro's.
Does anyone have any information which might help me out?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    uklady.

Every time I've tried to use Trust stuff it's been flakey, they do not accept the existence of Apple or Mac OS X in general so it may not be the best choice...
It should also be noted that audio over BlueTooth isn't exactly brilliant - perhaps an Airport Express would answer your problem?

Kann ich für die neue i watch wireless bluetooth in ear Kopfhörer verwenden? Falls ja, welches Model?

This is a user to user support forum. You are not addressing Apple. It is called the Apple Watch, not the iWatch. And, all the information available about the device is available HERE. Most Bluetooth headsets support the necessary profiles, but unless it is indicated in the specs on the link I provided, it is just a guess. You might want to wait until the preview dates at the Apple Store.

I wan to connet a wireless bluetooth sim adapter i.e gmate to my ipod touch 5g.So can i call from my ipod touch or not.

What is a wireless bluetooth sim adopter?
Does the manufacturer say it will work with an iPod touch?
My guess is that unless that is an app that support it, it will not work.

  • Is there any way to connect my Apple wireless/bluetooth trackpad and keyboard to my Mac Mini without using a wired or usb keyboard?

Is there any way to connect my Apple wireless/bluetooth trackpad and keyboard to my Mac Mini without using a wired or usb keyboard?

Well, I read that already, but I am trying to start up my Mac mini(new purchase) and I cannot get to all the system preferences etc since I cannot get past the startup screens. The site also mentioned waiting to turn on the keyboard until a language was requested. Neither language screen worked. I feel as though I'm just about ready to throw in the towel.

  • Part replacement for Apple Wireless bluetooth mouse ( not mighty)

I am looking for a bottom panel for my old apple wireless bluetooth mouse (not mighty). My son has dropped it down and that is how is not switching off anymore. I am thinking about replacement of that anyway removable panel (you remove it to place batteries),so I guess this part must be around somewhere. Any help is appreciated, thank you very much in advance!

    Hello m:
The only people that can answer that are the Apple people. As far as I know, those parts are not available from the web site.
Frankly, I think I would buy a new mouse as something may be damaged internally.

By adding Bluetooth capability to M40 would it cause any problems with the existing wireless connection?

nb. post is in both wireless and bluetooth forums
    Help!!!!!!!

    Hello
You can use Bluetooth USB stick and if the configuration is right there should not be any problem. Please check if Toshiba Bluetooth stack is already installed on your unit. If yes you can use it for Bluetooth connection.
I use WLAN and Bluetooth on my Tecra and it works perfect. Bluetooth usage has no influence on WLAN connection and you can continue to use it .
    Bye
