Emachine desktop- audio problems while World of Warcraft is open

I play the above video game on my new emachine desktop that I got for Christmas and when I first installed it there weren't any problems. For a few months now I've been having trouble having audio while World of Warcraft is open. It even happens with in-game sound. The speakers will make this staticy sound that sometimes sounds like a disc skipping. I know it isn't my speakers because they work fine when WoW is closed.
In-game support told me that my RAM isn't big enough to support audio and the game.
Geek Squad said that my drivers needed to be updated.
A friend told me to change my auto settings in-game because I might have it set to too many sound channels.
Well, I checked every driver and they're all up to date. I don't know much about comps except the basics, so I'm not sure what to do if it really is the RAM. The advice my friend gave me worked for like 5 minutes and then went back to the same thing.
I have no idea what it is or how to fix it, so I was hoping that someone on here might help.

I went to my control panel and updated my drivers like Geek Squad said to. This program called Driver Detective tolf me which it thought needed to be updated (half that it said needed to really didn't need to...so I deleted it.).
The game manual for the latest expansion says 1GB needed for Vista users but it's recommended to have 2GB for Vista users.
The expansion before that says 1 GB of RAM is recommended
Then the original version says...ok, I have no idea since I can't find the manual.
Lastly, would the mothe board driver be with the rest? If so, then I already updated it.

    not sure if coincidence or the same question, but the same question got asked internally. The seeded option is required to get the OJSP filter installed. Here's the internal response
    ADF View integration with MDS not configured
    In web.xml, you need to have mds-ojsp intg enabled to load jspx base + customizations from MDS. In your web project in Jdev, go to ADFv project properties and select “Seeded customization” property. It would enable mds-jsp engine configuration in web.xml. If you want to use user personalization feature at runtime, you would need to select “User customization” property as well which would enable ADFv change persistence config in web.xml.
    Warning: Some of the metadata under ... is packaged as part of both WAR and MAR. This metadata cannot be accessed from WAR using MDS.
    For these two packages, you are including the files in both WAR & MAR. This warning conveys that since these base files are being put in MAR, at runtime they would be read from mds repository & not from WAR.

  • Audio problems while playing videos from superdrive

    Hi, i've got a macbook pro with leopard and a bootcamp partition with windows xp.
    When i play videos (divx or dvds) from my superdrive under windows, i have audio problems (like noise), but the same videos are fine in leopard or if i play them from another storage, for example from usb.
    Perhaps it's a problem with last bootcamp drivers..or maybe there is something wrong with my superdrive. i remember this wasnt an issue when i bought my mac (less then a year ago).

    I had a video file that I had to convert for my iPod & iPhone, after doing so, only a white video screen and just the audio.
    What the heck is going on? it seems like a few people are having this problem!

  • ITunes audio problem while playing video.

    I have purchased several TV episodes which play just fine in iTunes on my HP Windows 7 laptop. However, on my Dell Windows XP desktop, the same videos lose the audio after a few seconds in iTunes, but the same videos play just fine in Quicktime on the Dell.  Can anyone shed some light on this problem? Why would a video work in Quicktime but not iTunes using the same computer?

  • Audio problems while watching a downloaded tv show

    What would cause Apple TV to lose the audio, but the show continues? I downloaded season 4 of Damages, and watched the first show with no problem.  Once I get 1.5 minutes into the 2nd show, the audio goes, but the scenes continue.  I've reset, changed audio settings, made sure I'm up to date, unplugged, internet connection says its the highest it can be.  I'm at a lose and would love to hear if anyone can help me!

    That depends on the source and format of the downloaded show.
    If it was purchased from iTunes, then you can simply sync it to your iPod the same way you do with music.
    If they came from elsewhere, they must be converted to MPEG4 or H.264 format and then added to your iTunes library in order to sync with your iPod.

  • Audio problems while capturing

    In FCE4, I am capturing 8mm tape from an old camera, I use DV converter in the easy setup, and have no problem capturing footage. Except when i drag the clip onto the timeline, when I playback there is no audio output. I have my volume up on my laptop, and the waveforms are showing on the timeline in audible setting. Even the audio bars to the right are registering audio but nothing is coming out of the speakers during playback. Can anyone help me? I'm sure it's a switch somewhere I need to change. Thanks for your time.

  • IChat Audio problem while in video chat

    My girlfriend and I both have the new black MacBooks. When we go to video chat, we get this really loud feedback on both ends of the chat. It sounds like a squeaky wheel or something. We both turned down out output levels as well as turned on the ambient noises reduction. It's still happening. The only way to get rid of it is to lower our volumes to the point where we can't hear each other.
    Also, after so long of talking in the video messenger, it starts to skip really bad and the video screen gets pixelated, as well as our voices skip.
    We are both on cable internet, I should add.

    Umm Echoes.
    These can be hard to track down and sort.
    Sometimes there is a slight delay on the chat and you can sometimes here yourself coming back over the connection.
    If it is more like reverb in that it makes the sound "hollow" like you are in a big room then try moving Speakers and or Mic About and further apart.
    Pointing speakers away from the Mic can help.
    If that does not solve it you could try Headphones or a Headset.
    Either of these will need setting in System Preferences > Sound > Output tab and in iChat > Preferences > Video > and the relevant drop down name (I have forgotten it)

  • [SOLVED] World of Warcraft's Launcher crashes after a few seconds

    Recently I run into problem with World of Warcraft. I have kind-of solved it, but I am posting it in case someone else experiences it as well.
    I haven't played it for a while, and when I tried to run it yesterday the Launcher would start downloading updates and, after 2-3 seconds, it would crash.
    It turns out it's a problem with wine compiled using gcc 4.6.0. It has been reported already: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27375
    The solution is to downgrade wine package to 1.3.16-1 (I'm not sure if this is the last version compiled with gcc 4.5.x, but it's the last before gcc 4.6.0 was added to pacman's repository - and it works).
    Also, to prevent it from updating again, "wine" has to be added to IgnorePkglist in pacman.conf.
    EDIT: This issue is fixed in wine 1.3.24

    When something is wrong and you uninstall and reinstall, you should always run the Cleaner Tool inbetween to remove what may be lingering, although I doubt whether it will help in this case.

  • Polygon Tearing in World of Warcraft

    I've been running Tiger on my PowerBook G4 for a while. I upgraded to Leopard on the day it was released, and have been having graphical issues in World of Warcraft that weren't there before. Specifically, there is "tearing" of the models in the game (such that the vertices of the polygons glitch and go to infinity in their direction). This only has shown up since the upgrade to Leopard, so I think that it's a driver issue. Is there a fix available for this issue?

    Join the club. I been having problems with World of Warcraft, Command and Conquer 3, and Halo. The video just will go wild, I don't thing it is the games software that is problems but a firmware problem from Apple. I did called Apple Support and what they said seems to work for a bit then the problem started all over again. I believe it is something to do with how the Open GL is working. I started a new user account and I still get the problem. I took everything out of the startup and I still have the problem. I reinstalled both 10.4.11 and just World of Warcraft with only a keyboard and mouse and still had the problem. Did the same with 10.5.1 and still the problem. I did not have this problem until EMF 1.2 Patch and Fan Patch. I plan on calling Apple Support again on 11/26 to see if they can tell me how to roll back the patches. It is a real shame that I paid for the best iMac at the time and it can't do video as will as my old dying Gateway 610 P4 that I paid only $800 over 4 years ago.

  • Online audio problems

    In the past couple of weeks, my Powerbook has developed a curious audio problem: while it will play audio fine from inserted CDs & DVDs, as well as QuickTime files, iTunes samples and downloads, as well as MIDIs, it has stopped playing any audio encountered online - RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc. I've tried reinstalling both RealPlayer and Windows Media Player, but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to fix this are most welcome!

    I'd run Audio MIDI Setup (it's in Applications/Utilities) and check that Default and System outputs are set to 'built-in audio'.

  • Strange problem while clearing a customer

    Hi everybody
    I am encountering this strange problem while trying to clear some open items for certain customers. Though these customers have open items on them (checked in BSID and FBL5N), the system is giving a warning message saying that there are no open items on the customers while trying F-30 and F-32.
    The only thing that was different for these customers from the rest was that these customers had some transactions which were supposed to be cleared through AP payment run. (transactions for customer payment).
    Can anybody explain why the system was not considering these line items as open while accessing F-30 and F-32??

    BSEG-DISBN = space  (discount document number)
    BKPF-BSTAT = space  (document status)

  • World of Warcraft MacBook Pro 17"

    Hi,
    I know this isn't the best place to post a question like this, but it seems as if it's the only active place where I might get a response in a relatively quick amount of time.
    I am curious as to whether or not anyone here has ran World of Warcraft on their MBP at the full visual settings, and whether or not it runs the game smoothly, without issue.
    And, if it so happens you have a glossy screen, how does that affect the visual look?

    I run it under OSX as I have no need for Windows XP. I had to do two things to get it to run like this...
    1) Make sure you have your vert sync turned off under Esc>Video settings.
    2) Also, browse to Applications>World of Warcraft>*** and open the file Config.*** with TextEdit. Type the following in as the very last line then save:
    SET M2Faster "1"
    A "GM" told me about this little trick which helps the game run better on Mac's. They will be adding this line in the config file as standard from the next patch / update + more Mac related performance changes.
    FPS is all down to what you have set in your viedo settings. Less eye candy = more FPS. I have most all my settings at 50%.

  • Stereo Audio Record problem (While recording video as well)

    I just just bought Sony Xperia C3 dual yesterday. I'm having problem with audio recording. I installed the Sony audio recorder from Google play store but while recording in stereo mode with it the gain suddenly drops after 1/2 second(s). Same problem while recording a video with stock camera app as well, video quality is fine but the audio with it is,just worst. Tried third party app like regorge pro but faced the same problem. Tried disabling the AGC with it, but no good. Recording in mono mode just works fine and I get clear record.

    @uliwooly  This one i recorded today morning. The audio starts good & clear at the begining but just after one second it drops & then you can hear the bus engine sounds like waterfall. It's mono but so clear & sharp.  Finally, as i dont have the mic swith option while recording video, all videos i record will have the same problem. This is definitely not  the typical "sony" thing to carry on.

  • MacBook Pro freeze/kernel panic while playing World of Warcraft

    Hello, Is anyone else having a similar issue I'm having? I have not had a single problem with my macbook pro until I reinstalled World of Warcraft. When I login to the game, the system will freeze, screen goes black, sound jitters, no keyboard or mouse response, and I have to hard reboot the system by holding down the power button. To make matters more difficult sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. This only happens when I'm running WoW...I also have StarCraft 2 installed (another graphics/processor intensive game) and I never had this problem.
    I read in the forums already about freezing issues and ran the Apple Hardware Test just to check the basics. Report came back clean (granted, I didn't run the full scan, just the quick test).

    It may help if we know the variant of your MBP. Some have serious video chipset issues that can complicate troubleshooting. Do "About this Mac..." from the Apple menu, then click "More Info..." in the resulting window. This opens System Profiler and, on its opening pane, is a complete description of your variant as "Hardware Overview." Copy/paste that info here, BEING SURE to omit your serial number. I'm on one of our older Macs now but the info should roughly parallel this format:
    Hardware Overview:
    Machine Name: Power Mac G4
    Machine Model: PowerMac3,6
    CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
    Number Of CPUs: 1
    CPU Speed: 1.25 GHz
    L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB

    The second line, which under Snow Leopard reads "Model Identifier" will uniquely call out your variant for us.
    Those with the second line of Profiler stating "MacBookPro3,1" or "MacBookPro4,1" are subject to a Repair Extension Program for a defective video chipset.

    Now, please try this process.
    With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT

    Please wait for one "registration" message to pop up
    2) Reboot
    Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt a harsher method by holding down the up/down volume keys together until the device has fully shut down.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
