EMAGENT error
the EM is not working i think the problem is related to emagent but i dont understand the error

after i restart the service the em works just for 2 or 3 min after that it stop working.
any ideas ?

FR 10.1.2.0.2 Standalone - EMAgent Error
I have installed Forms and Reports Standalone 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2003 Server. However when I go to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control page it says that my reports server is down.
I can access it thru the servlet URL fine so I know it is up. When I look at the sysman\log\emagent.trc file it says this

My apache server is configured with one-way SSL, and i have already run emctl secure iasconsole several times so the console is using the default keystore.
I read something about a timezone issue with this error and have tried setting the emd.properties file to an earlier timezone but am still getting this error.
Everything else seems to be working on the OEM AS control page.Addendum to the original question:
Verified that the WSDL exists and is Valid. Also verified that the BPEL PM is running . Am able to connect to the BPEL console and successfully deploy the BPEL process. The process appears in the console , however I get the above error when I try to "Initiate" the "HelloWorld' example from the BPEL console. -

it works on all other servers. OFM EM works as well O.o
also, i always thought EMAGENT is for Grid Control. Not sure why they would calling it the same way..

Remove the localhost alias from this above enty.

Poor iasconsole perf; emagent using too much cpu; and errors in em*.logs
Recently the emagent which runs with the iasconsole on our AppServer Mid Tier (10.1.2.0.2 AS and 10.1.0.4.2 emagent) has been using a ridiculous amount of CPU (28% of 8 Dual Core USIV+). The emagent for the INF Tier and for OEM Grid Control never even get up to 1%.
Bouncing the iasconsole helps for a couple hours, but then it's right back up there.
Iasconsole performance also seems to slow to a crawl when the CPU usage increases. Navigating from page to page can take minutes..
During investigations I've noticed some nasty looking errors in the sysman/logs/em* logs that i've added to the end of this post.
Has anyone had similiar issues, or can anyone tell from these symptoms and logs what is going wrong here and what I can try to get our AppServer running nicely?

This was not the original engineer I spoke with, who recommended an incorrect patch for the issue and wanted to transfer the case to the AppServer team.
We checked the ports for all emagents AS_INF, AS_MIDTIER, and OEM_GC and there were no conflicts (for all those reading the thread above).
We also discussed the issue further and he provided me with an action plan with the recommendation to increase the emagent logging level to debug if the problem returns.
Finally we discussed the errors traced by the emagent, and he convinced me that they may have been related to oc4j depolyment problems.
I'm now satisfied to let this SR close and follow the recommendations and open a new tar if the problem returns.
Thank you again for your intervention. This Support Request was going nowhere, you stepped in, and immediately all my concerns where addressed.

Fix your environment.
Pick a TZ value that corresponds to time zone settings listed in:

To check the agent's timezone setting:

No such metric, emagent.trc errors

i need some help with the following problem. In Enterprise Manager DB Console i get the error "no such metric" and emagent.trc shows error messages like this.

Im not sure if it has something todo with 32/64 bit libraries because the same libs are available under lib32.

Actually I have gone through many posts based on this thread. but no one really have a proper solution for it ...I have a situation like this,
I have a 2 node cluster on 10RAC. I was able to access respective oem url's from both the nodes before. But now somehow I am not able to access the OEM url from the first node. I can still access the OEM url from other node. When I tried to troubleshoot, I noticed that it is dbconsole problem. I am getting error while starting the dbconsole as follows,

1. Stop the dbconsole
./emctl stop dbconsole
2. Have a back up of the emd.properties file which is in <ORACLE_HOME>/Hostname_SID/sysman/config
Increase the value of
dynamicPropsComputeTimeout=60
to
dynamicPropsComputeTimeout=120
3. Start the dbconsole
./emctl start dbconsole
I follow the instructions and the problem was solved.

I have 10 databses in the server and getting this error only for the one database " java.lang.Exception: No Such Target "
When i stop dbconsole and start it again then the problem will solve but the within a day or two again the same message is appearing.

Error while creating a Service Naming for OID
Hi ,
I have installed Fussion Middleware 11.1.1.0.7 in REDHAT 32 bit, and configured the OID without a domain.
database is 11g resides in another machine which a AIX machine. Configuration went successfully.
Checked the status of OID
./opmnctl status -l

My rig: Dual 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5 3.5 GB DDR SDRAM. OS X 10.4.11. Logic Pro 8.0.2, Motu 828mkII interface, emagic Unitor 8 midi interface, Makie Control Universal, 7200rpm Firewire 800 Hard drives.
I Just launched a Logic Pro 8 session that was started a few days ago and when I click "Play" there is no audio from the recorded tracks coming through the speakers. All that comes through the speakers is a series of hi pitched (roughly 4k to 6k) beeps and then an error message: "Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI". I've tried restarting everything and still get the same results. I tried switching audio device to "built-in audio" instead of the motu and that works fine, (the tracks play back correctly).
I've also tried other sessions that have different sample resolutions and bit depth and I also tried reseting all midi drivers.
All sessions produced the same results, "Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI", and played correctly when using built-in audio device. It's looking like the problem is with the motu.
How can I trouble shoot this?Sounds like the MKII needs a reset.
You can reset the 828 MkII to default settings in the following way (as provided from the MOTU support page):
Follow these steps to restore the 828mkII to Factory Default Settings.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
Press the Setup knob
Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
Press the Select knob
Press the Value knob
Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable back in

Hi experts,
I 've installed OID 11.1.1.6 on weblogic server 10.6.. on Oracle linux 6.0
The Installation went fine And I am able to lauch the odsm default url http:\\localhost:7005/odsm and even chnaged the cn=orcladmin User password.
Also created few user and Groups using odsm,
However when i tried to access the odsm url after restarting the Admin & managed server . I am unable to access the odsm url. for that i tired to deploy the odsm.ear on Admin server but it failed getting the following error.

Could anyone suggest as why after restarting the server am not able to access the odsm url and getting error in deploying the odsm.ear file.
Also after struggling with this error for 3 days i tried to Reinstall the oid after completely uninstalling it. But as soon as i restarted the server The odsm url become inaccessible
and getting the same Old error.
Also one Important things that i observed that before restarting the Admin & managed server when the odsm url was accessible when i do grep the port 3060 i.e

I could not understand why this truncated output of 3060 port even though all opmn manged proccess working fine as it's obvious from the out put from

and am able start/stop oid related proccess from opmnct command
Please Help. as am really struggling to work around the issue.

PriyaIf what that guys said about it being :7001/em doesn't work, When you configured your domain did you check the box that says Oracle Enterprise Manager. We had the same thing happen to us one time and it's because we didn't install it you have to check that box for it to be installed.

Error while running Enterprise Manager 11gR1 after installation
Dear All,
I have just installed Oracle 11gR1 on centOS 5 operating system. During installation I checked the option to create sample schema. During installation the installer displayed some error message regarding Enterprise Manager and told that you can run the script manually after installation is complete with the script location i.e /<oracle_home>/bin/emca
After installtion i have run the script BUT now when i try to start dbconsole it fails.
When i run emctl status agent it says agent is not running.
