Email a song?

Is it possible to email a song that can then be entered into iTunes on another computer? If so, how? I have an iMac with 10.8.3 and the latest iTunes.

Thanks for responding. I don't understand the technical details you wrote about. I do the other, but since it would only be one song I guess that wasn't going to bother me too much. Maybe I'm being too easy on myself.

I have the exact same issue on my iPad 2. An update was released a couple of weeks ago that integrated this feature as well as a fade-in/out option and some others however when I updated it was the exact same as before!
Going by other threads about this, the general concensus is - send all your songs to iTunes, delete the app then re-install it again. When it's re-installed just put your tracks back on and you should be good to go. I'm going to try this today after work so I'll let you know how I get on if you don't beat me to it

For the record, it would be illegal to do that with copyrighted material. Since I know you would never do any such thing, your iTunes files are in the iTunes folder, typically in the My Music folder in Windows.
The person receiving would need iTunes on their end to play Apple's proprietary .m4a format. A protected .m4p file would not play on their computer regardless as it would not be authorized.
You might burn your track to a CD and then rip an mp3 from it.

Why does emailing a song from iPad Garageband distort the music?

When using Garageband for iPad (which is amazing by the way), when I export to iTunes, the sound is perfect. When I use the email export function, I find that there are almost always often distortions, artifacts, or ommissions.
My process is usually to make the song, make a screenshot, switch to photoshop, rotate the screenshot, go to Photos, copy the screenshot, return to Garageband, export to email, wait for the encoding to take place, paste the photo beneath the song in the email, then send the email (usually to posterous).
If I export through my mac in iTunes it seems to work flawlessly.

I've found that the AAC file exported through iTunes or through email are exactly the same... however... I've noticed this: Sometimes when I first boot up iPad garageband and start playing a song, I get distortion, dropped notes or ends of notes. If I stop the song, rewind and play again, it sounds fine. Just recently I booted up garageband and WITHOUT opening or playing the song, I exported the AAC (.m4a) file to iTunes and also emailed it to myself. Both versions had chopped notes, stuttering, etc. throughout the whole song!!! On a hunch, I went back to garageband, opened the song and played it. Sure enough, at the beginning it played like sh*t. When I touched the 'go to beginning' button and played again, it played fine. I then closed the song and exported as the above procedure. Both files played fine!
Maybe it's my earbuds but the imported songs sound duller than when listening to the originals on the iPad.

I do have a very a very same question:
I attach my iPad to my computer and open iTunes. Then I click on "iPad" (right upper corner).
When I click on Music on the top line I don't see my music titles but only the list of iTunes albums I may want to synchronize.
When I click on "On this iPad", I'm getting all music titles on the iPad. When I right-click on an item I'm getting "Play this music / Information / Wertung / show in iTunes store / show in playlist" (or so. I'm using a German version of iTunes). However nowhere do I get the option of Delete this music title. Please, how can I delete titles or albums from the iPad? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The simplest way to send one song from iTunes via email is to drag the song from iTunes onto the desktop, open Mail (or your internet email program), and then upload/Attach the song from the desktop.

Garageband app email song problem

Ipad IOS 8.1.3. From Garageband I am trying to email a song to my Gmail account, but it does not arrive, tried other email address and nothing. Also, there used to be an option to upload the songs to dropbox, but is now gone, am I missing something?

Tap the Navigation button in the control bar, tap My Songs, then tap Select.
Tap the song you want to send, then tap the Action button .

Reason - multiple stereo rewire to logic song templates anyone?

I'm a recent convert to (intel) iMac/Logic Pro/Reason from PC/Cubase/Reason.
After a whole weekend of head scratching, manual reading & forum browsing I've finally managed to set up a working environment with reason 3.05 rewired to logic - I have setup the main stereo L&R & Multiple mono channels from reason as well as a number of internal rewire objects to act as instruments.
I've read that its possible to go further & actually create rewired 'stereo' channels, which only need 1 effect added per pair. As far as i can understand this is done by creating two mono channels, panned hard L&R then linking to aux object/buss object then only making the aux (or buss?)object available in the arrange/track mixer page?
Only thing is.. i can't get these stereo channels to work - As i mentioned, I'm new to MAC & logic (although have studied manual in depth) so it may be a rudimentary error in my environment set up or my understanding of aux/buss object behaviour, but i need to get working with reason asap so wondered if anyone has done this already & could either post a simple walkthrough or maybe email a song template so i could copy & paste the stereo rewire layer?
I've already found a page online for some one (http://www.stormchild.net/music/reasonwithlogic.html ) who had done this but with Logic 6 but doesn't seem to work with my intelmac & logic 7.2.1 (& in fact when i loaded his autoload it 'removed' my focusrite saffire from available interfaces & i had to unplug it & restart the mac to get it back)

Apostol, I do a ton of midi programming & although I'm a massive reason fan the sequencer doesnt do it for me - I've used reason for sounds & beats very happily rewired to cubases sequencer (on PC) for years now.
Got Guitar, I'm impressed (if a little scared!) at your local knowledge of my little hometown, & thanks for the book recomendation & offer of your templates. The rewire templates in logic (on 7.2.1 at least) don't deliver the goods for reason, at least with my intel iMac.
I've since sucessfully set up an environment with a number of mono chammels (& L&R rewire on masterL&R) which works well in that it shows the reason device name in the channel menu on arrange page but it's just creating these 'stereo' tracks that i'm stuck on.
I think I have made some progress late last night as follows.... Obviously reason (with the exception of hardwire interface 1&2 (L&R)outputs isn't designed to output in stereo but so far I've created a number of 'stereo tracks' (2 x audio objects panned L&R), assigned their channels to reason hardware interface outputs 33-34, 35-36 etc etc, & I've then connected each of these 'panned pairs' in the environment to a stereo aux object by assigning the in/out on their audio objects to a buss number then assigning this buss to the relevant aux (so i only have to use one effect/fader per pair).
This setup works great in that i just need, in reason, to assign an instruments output directly to the suitable hardware interface outputs (ie 33-34) & it plays through this new stereo pair.
All i need to do now is to 'clean up' this set up so i can only see these single stereo aux's in my & track mixer (& arrange page if possible?) so there aren't 3 x tracks showing as playing per instrument? - I feel like i'm nearly there, anyone able to help with this last chapter in the saga????

Bassline via email?

I am working with Garageband '09; i have a song with a bassline in need of tightening. I want to hire a pro player to record the part. Can I do this by emailing the song? Can they just send me the part, then I drag it onto the song?

Saving songs in special circumstances

I want to transfer my iTunes songs to another computer. Can I email the songs to a different computer? If so, how do I do it? I already know about the limit of 5 computers or 5 devices or whatever, so you needn't mention this aspect of iTunes, I am not worried about this aspect of iTunes.
If I cannot email the songs to another computer, where can I find detailed instructions on Sharing iTunes songs with other computers? I know this is possible, I just don't know how to do it.
Also, I would like to find a definitive source of info about backing up my songs. If you can give me a url for this, it would be much appreciated.

what exactly are you trying to send? the GB project file? that's useless for anyone that doesn't have GB08. use the Share menu to export the GB project to an audio file.

Authorizing songs to my itunes not working

My friend sent me an email with songs attached to it which she purchased from iTunes. I have tried authorizing it into my iTunes using her password and it says the download was succsessful, but when I go to play the song, another window pops-up saying I have to authorize it again. It keeps doing this. Anyone have an idea how i can download the songs to my itunes without having to re-enter the password again and again?

I had problems uninstalling Apple Mobile Support, I had to repair it first before I could uninstall it. You will have to restart the computer after all the uninstalls, and before reinstalling ITunes. I reinstalled ITunes from the Apple website afterwards (fresh download) ... everything works for me now that I have done this.
