Email Account Manager Credential Settings

I have been using the Email Account Manager to set up a few email accounts that I use.
I have succesfully set up Gmail and validated it.
My main account is with Demon (in the UK). The Credential Settings insist on an email address and passward but the Demon email system requires a hostname (single word) and password.
I cannot, therefore set up LR4 to use my main email account.

Yes, that is correct. If I enter only my hostname (username) it remains in red. This appears to only work with a correctly formatted email address but my ISP mail system requires just the hostname.

  • Lightroom 4.1 crashes every time I try to launch the email account manager

    1) I right click on an image in the library or develop module and select "Email Photo"

I tried re-installing but it doesn't seem to fix the issue (it appears that there are some settings or something that are persisting).  A completely clean install in a virtual box VM (windows 8) comes right up and gives me the option to select a new email account (sending pictures works fine).  Any idea how to completely clear the email account settings so i can start over with setting this up. .  ?

    Hi Sean,
thanks for answering. No, it crashes anyway. I tried changing the identity plate color in all different modules. I was able to change it once when I had just bought a new computer and installed Lightroom, but now I can't. I wonder if there are any cache files or anything causing this. Unfortunately I don't know enough about this to fix it myself. I wondered whether LRB is causing a problem simply by having it installed, but as I said, after I removed it from the Web Galleries folder, the problem still occurred. Is there any way to recreate the identity plate in Photoshop (same font and size etc.) and reimport it into Lightroom? I need to finish my website and my name is sol light, it is barely legible. Any fix or workaround would be appreciated.

  • Blackberry OS6 Update: Email Account Management Error

    Hi
I've just updated my Blackberry Curve 9300 (on Orange UK) to Blackberry OS 6.0.0.570. When I try to use email account management the device requests me to download an update. There are several prompts asking to replace an existing file which require an 'OK" response or the update won't progress and the email account management is unusable.
After the update completes and the device reboots it hangs on the loading screen - I've left this for well over 15 minutes to be sure but nothing happens. Battery pull and soft reset lead to the same result. I'm able to get out of the problem and restore the device and I have backups but I'm stuck without the email account management option.
Any ideas? Any help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    James

    Hi,
I had exactly the same problem on my 9780 and still can't access the email account settings.
    Please somebody help.

  • Why can't I choose Apple Mail from Lightroom 4 Email Account Manager

I know that the built-in emailer in Lightroom is pretty half-baked but I'm having trouble even getting limited functionality out of it. While many people report you can send an email and leave the "From:" menu blank and that will take you to Apple Mail if you select it from the Email Account Manager. But I never get that option. All of my options are webmail: Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Other... No matter what I do Apple Mail is never an option. Truth be told, what I'd really like is to find a way to automatically attach the image to a Gmail webmail session in Safari or Chrome so I could have use of my address book but that seems like a pipe dream. I'll settle for Apple Mail. Can anyone help?
Secondly, one of the other problems I have with the built in emailer is that Groups in the address book don't work at all for me. I've taken the time to input a bunch of addresses and then add them to a group. But I can find no conceivable way to automatically put that group in the To: field. It never comes up on autofill, can't drag it, nothing. I just have to manually type the addresses.
Something must be wrong. But what???
    Thanks.

Apple Mail only appears if it's your default email client on the computer.  For example, I have my default set to Postbox so Apple Mail never appears.  It would appear in this pop-up:
If you do want to get through to a webmail session, you might be interested in this instead: http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrgmail.php
I can reproduce the issue with the groups and I'll get that bugged, thanks.  (There should be a checkmark in that Address Book dialog to allow you to check the whole group.

  • Email Account Manager

Does anyone know where I can find the email account manager in Lightroom please?

Go to File/Email Photos.. in the menu and the following dialog will appear.  Then go to the dropdown in the from box.

  • I cannot get to the email account on my settings. It has frozen. I have tried re-booting, but no luck

My email account has frozen and when I go to settings I cannot get to change anything. It has frozen. I have tried re-booting, but it stays frozen. I have two accounts: one is via a proxy server from my work place. I think that is the cause of my problem, bit I cannot get to it to delete or remove it. Can anyone help?

Did you change the email address associed with yur account?  If you only changed that, your Apple ID address is not changed.  See:

  • Update to OS X lost email accounts

Upon update to OS X I lost my email accounts.  Mail settings lookup is OK.  Get "Preferences Error" if I click on accounts. Get the menu bar but few options.

Try a SMC reset: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Try calibrating your battery (I'm assuming you have a laptop, rather than the Mac Pro in your profile): Apple Portables: Calibrating your computer's battery for best performance
Or maybe your battery needs to be replaced.

  • After setting up email account the apple imap does not respond.

Able to get on the internet with no problem but when I try to set up an email account no matter whether yahoo or gmail I get this message. "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server field. I have done this numerous times with no success.  I deleted all email accounts since they did not work and still have had no success.  The problem has to be with this ipad.  The model number is MB293LL, Serial # V50445YCZ39 VERSION: 3.2.2(7B500).  All pertinent information has been put in properly but the unit still is unable to send or receive any email.  I am wondering if I should reset the entire unit back to factory specs etc.  The form below this asked for an operating system and I put Vista in due to the fact that this system was given to me by someone that I know had Windows Vista on their home computer.  If I can change it I would. I just do not know how at present that is why I am coming to this community.  Thanks for any help.

I am trying to set up a basic email account through the settings email, contacts etc button on the ipad.  When the list of servers comes up I pick yahoo and fill in the pertinent info as far as the correct email address and password. When I try to save it the ipad is the thing that comes up with this message "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding.  I have no idea where or how it comes up with this but that is what appears when I try to save the account information it request.  The info that JimHdk sent does not work either.  Thanks for any help.

  • An error occurred during email account validation

    Hello everyone
I have a seriously annoying problem with my BB Curve!
I added a language on to my phone using the Desktop Manager which resulted in the phone being backed up and reinstalled (like a reformat but the data wasn’t lost). Ever since then I am unable to access my email account information that I set up on the phone and wasn’t receiving emails (this coincided with the Blackberry blackout). After that I deleted the email account on using the website email account access for blackberry and re-entered my account information, this allowed the emails to come through my phone but I still cant access my email account information.
If I go to Main Menu > Setup > Email Accounts > Internet Mail Account the phone will hang up while trying access information
If I go to Messages > Options > Email Account Management, I get the following information “Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider” I have called Vodafone for the past 5 days now but they are of no help.
If I try to edit the account information (like signatures) on the hutch.blackberry.com website, I get the following error “An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again.”
Has this happened to anyone before? Is there any solution to this problem?
My phone is currently on Software version 6.0 Bundle 2342
    Please help!!!
    Gwen

I would keep trying, or wait and try again. There could be a server issue which will be resolved.

    Hi
If site plan is web basic then email service would not be included , either you would need to upgrade the site else use external email service.
Using creative cloud subscription sites published will be in web basic site plan,
    For upgrading : http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3161
    For External Email : http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/setup-pop-imap-email-accounts.html#main_How_to_create_ an_external_MX_record
If this is not the case then you can access email accounts section , site settings > email accounts

  • Bold 9900 Internet email account setup

I've look at a lot of post on this subject but no luck.
I have just taken delivery of a Bold 9900 and put in my EE sim (UK). Out of the box phone upgraded to 7.1 Bundle 2061 and everything seemed to go OK.
Phone, texts, wifi, browser all work fine.
Trying to get it to link to my hotmail account and no luck.
Setup - Email Accounts - just asks me for enterprise account details which I don't have.
Go into email icon and select options, email account management, get the message "unable to open email set-up application. Contact service provider" which I did an dthey said its a BBerry problem. (helpful)
Tried to go to www.blackberry.com/integrate and mobile.blackberry/com/integrate as I've seen in a few logs and I see nothing pointing me towards Communications which I think is what I'm meant to be looking for.
Bit lost now. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to tell you, but they fobbed you off. Refer:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Social-Lounge/How-This-Site-and-Formal-Support-Work/td-p/2540...
Regardless of if the problem is with EE (which I suspect) or with BB, EE remains your sole channel for formal support on the matter. If they cannot resolve it, then they must escalate formally to BB via channels to which only they have access. Consider -- you pay EE for all of your services, you pay BB directly nothing at all. EE is responsible for all of your service delivery, and all of your formal support, even if that means they need to escalate to BB to resolve your issue.
