Email account migrated to google, too many emails coming in?

My cable provider migrated their own email service to google. They gave instructions on what needed to be updated in the settings. When I did this on my windows live mail account, 2000 emails popped up off the server. So when I updated my phone, I got two waves of 200 messages each, but now i can't send or recieve any emails. When I try to send it says the sender was rejected.

If you go to your carrier's BIS site there's a forgot password link. But if you don't remember the username you can call your carrier and they'll be able to tell you.
That's the first thing I'd suggest would be to try and delete the accounts and re-add them back.
Is it happening to all your accounts on the device?

  • I can't remember my two security questions on my account. I made too many attempts and got kicked out for 8 hours. I do have a back up email addy that's verified on my account as well. Any resolutions?

Looking for some help please!  I just got an iPad 4 and tried to purchase some apps on it and was prompted to answer my Two Security Questions that are on my apple account, and I can't remember them. I do have another verified email account attached to my account besides my @me.com one.
I created an apple account a couple years ago when I purchased my iPhone and now I can't remember what my answers were. If anyone has any suggestions or resolutions, it would be greatly appreciated as I cannot purchase anything on my new iPad and cannot make another attempt for 8 hours to my failed attempts :( Thank you

Tomorrow call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to the account security team.

  • Can't add new icloud account to iPhone says that I have too many accounts please help! Forgot old username and email

I Made a new icloud account bc forgot my username and email and now I can't access bc says I have too many accounts on phone please help!

If the messages says the maximum number of accounts have already been created, you will not be able to create a new one on that phone.  All you can do in that case is either reuse one of the accounts previously created or create your new account on a different iOS device or Mac, if you have one.

There is no such Trojan or other malware known today that will do that using OS X nor has there ever been one. The most probable explanation is that somebody hacked into your e-mail account on the server, so you should change that password to something stronger right away. If it had come from your Mac then there would almost certainly be copies of those messages in your Sent Mail mailbox.

  • I can't sign in...too many apple email addresses

As of right now my iphone is useless.
Too many past Apple email addresses have been assigned by Apple, which I never asked for.
Keeps asking me to change password.
    Sez my birthday is wrong.
    I cannot update my phone.
Try to call, but you want to charge me $19 to fix your mistakes.
I have a phone that is perfectly useless, cannot update apps, so why bother?
I'm so disappointed in what this company has become.

  • Got message trying to log in to email 'too many l...

    Hi BT,
This morning when first logging into BT Mail I got a failure message to the effect that there had been too many login failures on my account try again in 10 minutes.
Since this was on my FIRST login in attempt it could not have been me that caused the login failures.
    Questions for BT:-
    1. Is someone trying to hack my email account?
    2. How many times does it have to fail before causing this message?
    3. Are you able to detect (IP Address?) where these failures are coming from?
    4. If you are able to detect there are too many login fails how about displaying the number of login fails?
    Looking fwd to your reply.

    radclifm wrote:
re:  Did you receive any replies?
Yes, in the form of delivery failure messages. So I could see that the real email address used (it was mine) and I could see what the spam message was (it contained a link to a dodgy website). Not being an email spoofer I can only go by what I have read and it would appear that when an email address is spoofed it will be returned by the delivery failure system to the spoofed address because no authorisation checks are done on spoofed address. That is the point of spoofing a genuine address.
re: ... email would return to you so there would be no gain for the spammer
The messages sent out contained a web page link, so the spammers (and there have been several) would not be trying to get replies from the email, more trying to get the recipients to look at some dodgy web site. Fair enough.
re: The volume of emails sent by spammers is I suspect more than the 49 permitted group email limit set by BTMail on your account so this would be rather limiting for any spammer.
I've seen the failed deliveries come back in batches, which would fit the group email limit, and mean they were trying to circumvent the group mail limit.
As an aside, it's worth setting up a non-existent email address in Contacts to see if anyone is doing this, then you'd see the failed delivery come back. I have already done that. It is the only email address I have in my contacts. I don't keep contacts or emails on the servers. I would rather be responsible for my own emails and contacts security.
re: deleting the emails to cover their tracks - I've found that with BT Mail webmail if you delete from Sent box they don't appear in Trash, so you wouldn't see the spam mails there either. I have found that in BTMail if you do delete from sent box they do get put in the trash so your spammers are very tidy not only deleting it from the sent folder but also the Trash folder.
I am not trying to convince you one way or the other, you have your views that your email account is/has been logged onto and emails sent from it and I have my view that it was only your email account address that was spoofed. I think we will just have respect each others views and agree to differ.
The bottom line is you do what you feel is best for your security and piece of mind when using your email account.

  • Too many outgoing email addresses.

What do I do when I have too many outgoing email addresses and cannot get to the bottom to edit or close the message?

    Hello mktapplesupport,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you would like to remove an email account from the Mail application, please follow the instructions below:
    Removing an email account
You may want to remove an email account from Mail, for example if you no longer use the account.
Important: Removing an account will permanently delete its mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do items. If you want to keep those, be sure to copy them to an On My Mac mailbox before deleting the account.
Exchange and IMAP accounts store their mailboxes and messages on the server; deleting these account types in Mail will not permanently delete messages from the server. However, if you are not completely certain that your account is one of those types, be sure to copy the mailboxes and messages you want to keep into an On My Mac mailbox, or save individual messages manually by selecting them and choosing Save As from the File menu.
To remove an email account in Mail:
Open Mail (click it on the Dock or open it from the Applications folder).
From the Mail menu, choose Preferences..., or press Command-, (the Command and comma keys).
    Click the "Accounts" icon.
Select the account you wish to remove.
Click the "-" (minus) icon. You will be alerted that "The account's setup information, mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do's will be deleted permanently from your computer."
If you are sure you want to remove the account and email messages from your computer, click "Remove" to complete this process.

  • Internal Email recipient Status: 400 4.4.7 Message delayed, too many concurrent deliveries of this message at this time

    Hi All,
I've read the other threads on this but not found one exactly like it. We are running Exchange 2010 SP3 Update 1. We recently sent out an internal email to a distribution that had a couple of dynamic DL's in it and a few regular DL's.
A lot of people got the initial email and others didn't until the following day. There was around 3000 or so users in that group. When investigating it with the message tracking log, a lot of users had "400 4.4.7 Message delayed, too many concurrent
deliveries of this message at this time" for the status.
Could this be to do with message throttling? I can find very little information on this on the Internet.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    This is not throttling.
How many HT servers do you have? What is the name of queue they all are residing?
    Cheers,
    Gulab Prasad

    Thanks for your response Gulab,
I have two HT servers and I'm not sure what queue they were residing in as they eventually all went through. Is there any way I can tell this with the message tracking logs?
    Thanks again,
    Chris

  • Email - too many recipients

Each month I email out our Parish Newsletter to about 120 addressees.  This month, for the first time, it failed to deliver, returning an error message saying that I am exceeding the temporary limit of the server and that I have too many recipients.  I tried to resolve by splitting into 2 mails of 60 addressees but got same error message
I can understand the need for anti-spamming techniques, but
    1.  What has changed since last month?
    2.  How temporary is "temporary" ie when will things normailise?
    3.  What is maximum number of recipients I can use during this temporary measure?
    tks
    SD

I have several groups set up in WLM (I use Windows 7). The sizes range from 6 to over 70. Until very recently I have had no problems sending emails to these groups. However, I have been away for a couple of weeks and since returning have been unable to send to the groups with 70 members. I get  an error message relating to the server of a particular recipient, quoting error message 452.
On researching this it would appear that the recipient whose address in each case is blocking the sending, is number 50 on the list; implying that WLM has put a restriction on the maximum number I can have in a group. I contacted BT yesterday who said they had made no changes to their operation, and, anyway, they could only speak about using the web based BT Yahoo.
I received a message  today from BT saying that the problem was "solved". I spoke with them since I tried a test message to one of my groups with 50 recipients - which failed, but when I deleted one person the test message went through.
A different BT customer service person explained that because of the amount of spam being generated these days, a limit was being put on the number of recipients that could be in a group sent via BT. Their suggestion was that I split my larger groups down to less than 50, but also don't send out emails to two smaller groups within a small space of time. They said that they were "monitoring" the situation but did not commit themselves as to what will happen in the future.
I am clearly unhappy with this situation and will be contacting BT more formally about it. At least it explains why my (larger) group emails are being rejected.

  • Too many recipients in email

I get fax from Myfax via email, so I added my eprint email address to the list of emails on Myfax receive preferences. I get the fax to the yahoo email but not to my eprint email. When I check on ePrint Center it says
"Too many recipients in email" any idea how to solve this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Auto forwarding of emails to ePrint server will not work.  If you are using this Auto Forwarding feature provided by yahoo. you need to manually forward the email to ePrint. Make sure that there are no extra email ID's in TO, CC or BCc
