Email account without ICloud?

I have (or had, I guess) 2 @mac.com Email accounts, but now have only one ICloud account. Can I continnue to use the email account that is not connected with ICloud? (I use one for personal and one for business mail)

If you had two MobileMe accounts, or a Family pack sub-account, or an 'email only' account, you need to migrate them separately at http://me.com/move whereupon they will become separate full iCloud accounts.
You can add the second account in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars

Not an account, no: you would have to create a new Apple ID and use it to create a new iCloud account. But it depends on what it is you are trying to do: if all you want is a different @icloud.com email address this is easy. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

Your mail account shouldn't take up very much of the capacity on your phone and you can't purchase more of it. So I'm thinking you might be talking about iCloud backup storage. If that's the case, you can change some of the info that goes into your icloud backup and reduce its size from settings > icloud > backup and storage > manage storage

How do I change the email account for icloud on my iphone6 only. I don't want to change my ipad or my husband's iphone6. Currently all 3 devices have the same gmail account associated with them. I have created a new & separate apple id and I want that on my phone but I can't figure out how to delete his email from my phone.

To change iCloud accounts you have to go to Settings>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with your other ID to create your new account. If you want to migrate a copy of the iCloud data to the new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save Image. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out, choose Keep on My iPhone and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with your new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload the data to your new account. Once you are on a separate account you can go to iCloud.com and delete your husband's data from your account (and he can do the same with yours).
Just be aware that the current @icloud.com email address cannot be moved to the new account, nor can the current my photo stream album (which is why you need to save any my photo stream photos you want to keep to your iPhone before signing out of the existing account).

All I need is ONE INBOX (like Windows Mail used to do) ...
I can see in the 'Account' column of each message which email account it's using.
Then, I either junk or read the message, followed by delete or file to one of my created folders.
As it is, half my page is depth is taken up by 12 lines of Account names !!!

That still leaves SIX lines of Account names down the side. All I want is ONE INBOX ... (I can see which account each message belongs to in the 'Account' column...)

If the ID is your the iPad is signed into is your old ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). No. Although you could migrate your mail to iCloud via IMAP, iCloud does not support sending emails from your own domain - only iCloud's own @me.com and @mac.com addresses can be used.

You will need to sign out completely in System Preferences>iCloud (click the 'Sign Out' button) and sign back in again with the new ID.

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

Try doing a Repair disk and a Repair Permissions in Disk Utility. Then see if Lion will install.
If not then save all your data and Wipe the drive and reinstall Snow Leopard. Then try the Lion upgrade again.

I was in the Apple Store today because I was getting duplicate emails on my Mac and on my iPhone. So they encouraged me to just use iCloud. I then went to Gmail and changed my settings to forward my email to my iCloud account. What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone.
