My iCloud account is currently using a email address I no longer have access too, I have tried changing my email via Apple website, however it still asks me to sign in to my iCloud every time I go on my iPhone, does anyone know how to resolve this please?

This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

You need your password to delete it and I need the email address to reset the password. I feel like I'm going in circles!!! Please help!!!

Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account). To sign into your iCloud account you use your Apple ID.
Therefore if you want to change the email address or Apple ID you sign into iCloud with, you need to change your Apple ID.
If your question is how to change your primary iCloud Mail email address, AFAIK, you cannot as it is linked to and is an alias for your Apple ID. You can create an email alias. Alias can be changed and deleted.

I want to sync all my devices and am lost without this functionality, so I have created a new icloud account but so far I haven't been able to switch my ipad to this icloud account as I can't change the icloud user name. Part of the problem seems to be the 'find my ipad' app, which won't switch off without the old password...I've tried every password I can, but no success. Can anyone help?

Or contact Apple for assist. In both cases one way or the other you will have to prove that you are the account owner, by providing correct information in form of either security questions or something else.

I recently updated my primary email address associated with my Apple ID account.
Now when I go to App store on my iPad it still tries to login to the App store using the old email address I had associated with the account, and naturally my password doesn't work. I can't figure out how to tell my iPad to login using the updated email address.
So in effect I'm locked out of the app store and I currently have 26 updates waiting.
I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my IPad to iCloud with no luck.. However I cloud happens to show the correct/updated email address.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

Apple offers free, basic Mail and Address Book apps and creates paid, more sophisticated solutions, also allowing Developers to provide more sophisticated solutions for sale in the marketplace.
When I need to repeatedly email to multiple contacts, I create a blank draft email, and use the Address Book button to list the appropriate address book group. With the Address Book window open, it's easy to click to add multiple email addresses for a single contact name. Each is added to the message email address list. Then I save that blank email to iCloud Drafts, and it retains the email addreses I've entered. Next time I need to send a message I double-click on it in Drafts to open it, and drag it to one of my other email accounts to add Subject and details, then send from the other account.

When I go to ICal it asks for the username and password which I no longer have. The calendar is still on my phone (even though the email account is on my phone but doesn't work) Is there a way to copy my calendar to a different email address on my iphone? I have now set the default email account for the calendar to a current email address but I still can't figure out how to merge my iphone calendars, copy the iphone calendar to iCal, or save my iphone calendar to my mac. Also, I read in ITunes to check "sync to ICal" but my ITunes under my iphone and info just says "Sync Calendars" which doesn't transfer it to iCal when I sync my phone.

I already know I can setup an email alias or create a new account, but I've got so much invested into this Apple ID (iTunes, developer accounts, etc.) that redoing everything just isn't worth it.

Before you change your Apple ID:
Sign out of all Apple features and services that you use with your current Apple ID.
Make sure that the email address you want to use for your Apple ID meets these conditions:
The email address is one that you use regularly, because it will be the primary email address for your Apple ID.
The email address is not associated with any other Apple ID.
The email address is not an iCloud email address, which is already an Apple ID. iCloud email addresses end with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com.
