Email Address Quickfill Problem

MAIL evidently has a quick fill option for addressing emails.
I like that but...
whenever I write to a particular friend,
I now have an address that MAIL insists on putting into the email
that is no longer the correct address for that particular person.
How do I stop it from doing this?
I do NOT want to stop quickfill entirely.
I just want to have more control over WHAT it quickfills.

You would think that in times where email address' are changed as often as one changes their clothes there would be an easy way to delete the "autofill/autopopulate" field. Then I came upon this thread & wow it was as easy as you indicated here.
I had tried deleting preferences, history and looking for mail history but could not figure it out.
Now that was a true fix.

Sky cancelled their complaints email address and problems with my sky box

After writing an email to the sky helpdesk it appears that that email is no longer in use, and the website has no email address to use for complaints only a postal address, how convenient sky.... lets fob off the customers yet again... and make them wait even longer to get a complaint resolved. I have had issues with my signal on various channels now for about 4 weeks I called this morning and after a very lengthy discussion with the operator it appears I have to have an engineers visit........ Ok but then Im told I have to pay for the priviledge of this visit, even though I pay a fee to sky every month. I am told I own the equipment and I have to pay for a visit. Lets squeeze yet more money out of our hard working strap cashed customers.... I advised the operator that this isn't acceptable If i pay a fee to sky and have done every month for the years ive had it i dont expect to have to pay an extortionate amount for an engineers visit. I have had to agree to the engineer visit and guess what ....... nothing until next sunday.. a whole week away.. a whole week of not being able to use a service properly that I pay a lot of money every month for.... diaboloical service and no offer of good will compensation in the meantime for a service that isnt working property and yet Im still expected to pay the full fee every month. This sky dish has been installed originally withouth my authorisation, by a tenant I had living here, who funnily enough worked for sky during his time here and had all this installed as part of his contract, i was neither asked or informed of this sky just goes aheads and installs it, i am told if he states he is the owner and not the tenant not skys responsiblility... Then when the engineer got here last june when i moved back in i pointed out all the shoddy workmanship and am told by the engineer nothing he can do about it and he wouldn't have put the dish there himself..... Anyway he reinstates the service for me, now a year a later i have problems accessing certain channels.. whereby i get no signal, i am advised the engineer will sort this in 7 days when he visits. i am completely disgusted and annoyed with skys lack of empathy or compassion towards their customers especially on this issue in all counts. If i dont receive a satisfactory response to this I am seeking further advise from the likes of trading standards.

EMail Address & Password Problem

I have about six EMail addresses and I have set each up as a seperate account on my N9 and, mostly, it works fine.
I have two iCoud addresses; one works and the other fails everytime - it generates an error message that "either the username or password are incorrect"; they are not.
Both accounts were set up automatically on the phone with the Accounts app. I have checked and the settings for each, except the username and password, are the same.
Any suggestions to get both working?

Email/Address Book Problem Web Surfing Problem?

I'm new to this group but I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a PowerMac G3 running OS 9.2 and Internet Explorer 5 with SBC DSL. I do email in Internet Explorer and until last week it was great. Suddenly every time I try to get into my address book I get a blank page it freezes. If I try to forward or reply and click on To or CC and get into my address book that way, I get only a couple of address in teeny tiny print (like about 6 point) and I can't insert them. Now I also own an IBM laptop so I can do my email that way, but I'm finding this really annoying. I've called SBC twice and they say it's a browser problem and something in my browser needs to be reset and I should call Apple. So I called Apple and was told that my computer is "vintage" and they won't service it. So I'm out of options since I've done Norton's and all the things I know how to do and none of them have solved the problem. The girl at SBC had me lower the settings on the Norton's AntiVirus because she thought that was interfering with the internet but nothing has changed.
I'd be happy to upgrade to a newer browser but I don't think anything else will run with OS 9...everything I've looked at seems to require OS X which won't work in this computer.
Any ideas? Please help! Thanks!

Internet Explorer is not an email program but a browser. Therefore, I am going to assume you are using Outlook Express as your email client.
If you are not already doing so, you should be using the latest version of Outlook Explorer for your current OS system.
Regarding your email problem, as I do not use OE, until some knowledgeable users come in her who do use OE, suggest that you check out Unofficial Outlook Express FAQ & Outlook Express 5.0 For Macs as there maybe something in those links that may be of some help.
Also you are using a too old version of IE (Internet Explorer) version 5. The latest version for your current OS system is 5.1.7 which can be downloaded from the following link:

Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft.

Trying to update my account with new email address.

My original account details I put in the wrong (non existent) email address.
Problem is appears I have since already setup a new account with new email address from my iphone.
Now verification emails are being sent to non existnet email address and I can't change itunes account on laptop.

Did you update your old iTunes account or create a new one ? If you updated the old one then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad. If you created a new account then you will need to continue to use the old account to download updates to its apps (or to redownload its content) - content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it and it can't be transferred to a different account.

I have iCloud setup within outlook. If I change a calendar event in oulook it is sending updates to invitees using my iCloud email address rather than my outlook work email address.

My outlook on my windows PC has mail setup already using my work email address. I have added iCloud now so my outlook calendar is always synced with my iphone. My iCloud username is my personal email address not my work email address. Problem is I just updated a meeting time in my calendar on outlook and it sent an update to my invitees using my personal email address regisetered with iCloud rather than my outlook work email address. I dont understand this as if I check my outlook sent items, I can clearly see that my updated meeting request was sent from my work email in outlook. Does iCloud automatically send updates to invitees using your iCloud username?

Same here.. My girlfriend imported her calendar in iCloud from work and iCloud has send everyone in her appointments an email. Not funny....
I'm afraid that if she is deleting her iCloud calendar everyone will get a mail that the meeting is canceled. By the way she exported her work calendar to an .ICS file which she imported in Outlook at home. Then she copied the calender (no other way) to iCloud.
Apple I love your stuff but please do not mess around with this stuff or warn people better.. You can not send everyone in someone's calendar an email without let the user decide wether she wants that or not....

ITunes security questions and rescue email address

So basically I want to download an app and when I went to do it it comes up with answer security questions or send to a certain email address
My problem is I can't remember the answer to the security questions and I don't know the email or password for the rescue email address.
What can I do?

If you don't have access to your rescue email account (or don't have one on your account) set up on your account then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When I click on an email address on a web page, a page no longer opens in my email program. Not sure if this is a problem due to Firefox or due to recent installation of Office 2010. I use a PC with Vista.

I'm using AOL for email and Firefox 9.0.1. Problem started 2 days ago. Before that I put in the first two letters of an email address and it gave me a list of possibles. Now I get "undefined" for each possible instead of the email address.

After updating to Firefox 9.0.1 there were no problems. My contact list still shows as it did before this problem arose. When I type in the first letter or two of the email address, it used to give me a list of possibles. Now t is just showing the email address as "undefined" when it gives me suggestions for the email address I'm typing in the send line. This means that instead of being able to click on my choice in the possibles it gives me, I have to go to my contact list, find the name and then click on it if I'm sending the email to one person. If it goes to more than one, I either have to type in the full address or use copy and paste from the contact list. This is a huge hassle. Any help is appreciated.

I moved the file formhistory.sqlite to another file folder. I then started Firefox up again to see if it worked or if I needed to start it in Safe Mode. No need for Safe Mode. It now works exactly as it should. Thank you so much!!

I just used the "find my apple id" and it has an id to my old email address problem is when i try to login to hotmail with that account it says the email address doesn't exist..and this is affecting my application updates and purchases.

The problem is that i have 2 apple Id's now and i used on to purchase my macbook pro a few years back and then i created a new one for my new macbook.. i was trying to update my iphoto and imovie but it kept saying i couldnt update it as it was purchased under a different id, and seeing though i cant get into my old account i cant update what i need to. i know the password for the old one as my brother still uses it but it wont work now as hotmail says the email doesnt exist.
in saying that i dont think i can get into the old account and change the email address

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

By using 1 of the 2 ID's instead of both, choose one, move everything in the other one to the one you chose and stop using it.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I have a bought a IPhone 4S and I wanted to sign up for itunes. I have done everything. A verification mail is sent by apple but when I linked to the web site given and write my ID (I think it is my mail) and password, I got a message "This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."
I cannot install sth without it please help me what can I do for overcome this problem
