Email address rejected

Can anyone help? On my iPad when sending mail I get a prompt to say the mail could not be sent and its in my outbox, when I click on the mail I get a message saying " [email protected] was rejected because it does not allow relaying" I'm pulling my hair out and bt say they can't help coz its mail on apple mac. Are bt not the server of my emails???

this is a email problem with yahoo and there are many post on the subject - you need to wait a day or so and it will work ok again.  before you ask about fixing BT are moving from yahoo to BT email so nobody is going to fix it as it has been going on for years

  • "...email address rejected by server" How to fix

Using an iPhone on AT&T network and I can't send from one of my e-mail accounts. I receive the dreaded "One or more of the recipients addresses have been rejected by the server." I'm not sure what happened as the e-mail seemed to work fine up until a month ago.
    Any thoughts?

Outlook is a mail client, it connects to many different email systems, the question therefore is: who is your mail provider?

  • Why does my iPad say email address rejected by server ?

When I try to send an email, my I pad says the senders address was rejected by the sever. Help I've already contacted the server.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

  • I cannot send email - error message as follows : 'The sender address (my email address) was rejected by the server smtp.tiscali.co.uk.' I can send email from other apple devices, and the email settings are identical. Any ideas?

For some reason I cannot send email - all was working fine, but now I get the following error message when I try to send email:
'The sender address (my email address) was rejected by the server smtp.tiscali.co.uk'
I can receive incoming mail ok and I can send email from other Apple devices. The problem seems confined to my Mac Book Pro.

    Hi Razmee,
    Thanks for your response.
The mail server worked when I originally set it up and continued to work for months afterwards.
What would make the outgoing mail server not be set up correctly after all that time?
    Thanks again.

  • I get a error when I send a Email. Recipient "email@address"  was rejected by server by sever

I get a error when I send a Email. Recipient "email@address"  was rejected by server by sever

I set up my email the way the phone and iPad do. Very simple. It works most the time, but I am usually on wifi also. I ran into problem saying email was rejected by server, and it put email in my outbox. I looked in here to see if anyone had a good solution, then realized after reading the post I never actually checked my servers. My actual servers were different than the defaults that were set up. Example : the default server was mail.roadrunner.com, but the actual should be pop-server.roadrunner.com, and same for the smpt-server.roadrunner.com. Based on the ISP, must have the correct servers. But I was always able to send while on wifi. That part I did not understand. But since I fixed the servers, I have not seen any problem sending on either the iPad or iPhone. If you have not found fix, hope this may help if still having problem

  • MSEXchange not rejecting bad email addresses

I have written a specialized email application In ACCES 2010 for my department. At first I couldn't send email outside our domain so the server folks turned on relay and gave me a static IP address. However, now the mail server does not reject bad email
addresses unless I leave off everything to the right of the @ sign. Example my real address is
[email protected]. But if I change something in the address, such as
[email protected] I don't get an error message back from the mail server, error handling is ignored and it counts as being sent.  This is true for emails going both inside and outside the domain.
It seems to me that something needs to be configured on the host, or I need to do something in my ap. (I'm no expert here.)  The Send part of the code is an ACCESS 2010 function. (Mail server is MSExchange 2010.) If nothing is wrong it works great.

    Hi,
Generally, when you send an email to an address that doesn't exist via OWA or Outlook, you will receive a NDR explaining that delivery has failed.
Please disable the app temporarily and check the result. If the issue disappears, there is something wrong with the app code. Actually, we have a dedicated support team regarding the Microsoft Office for Developers. I recommend you ask your question on our
Microsoft Office for Developers forum which is staffed by more experts specializing in this kind of problems. For your convenience:

    Hi,
Since upgrading my ipad and iphone software i am receiving an error message when sending emails, saying that the email address was rejected by the server.
Please advise if this is a known problem, and what is the fix.

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

  • Unable to sign into eprint . Repeatedly rejects my email address

Cannot sign into Eprintcenter. Repeatedly rejects email because it is not the same? What email must be the same as what????

    Hi kknudson1,
The issue you're experiencing is most likely due to an old Snapfish account registered under your email address. ePrintCenter and Snapfish account information is stored in the same place and I've seen this conflict before. You will need to go to Snapfish ( http://www.snapfish.com ) and hit "Sign In". Once you hit the "Sign In", you will need to select "forgot password" and enter the email address that you are trying to register / sign in to ePrintCenter. Snapfish will then send you a reset password email so that you are able to reset your password. Once you've created a new password for Snapfish, try to Sign In on ePrintCenter ( http://www.eprintcenter.com/ ) using your email address and the new password you created for Snapfish. After you sign in successfully, use the “+Add Printer” button on the ePrintCenter main page ("Printers" page) to add the printer to your account.
Let me know if this helps you out any. If you have any more questions, just let me know. Thanks!
If I have SOLVED your issue, please feel free to provide KUDOS and make sure you mark this thread as SOLUTION PROVIDED!

Sometimes it is as simple as checking the outgoing server setting and making sure that your username and password are correct.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

JusJust downloaded iOS 7.0 on iPhone and now cannot send email -sender address rejected by server???

What happens when you go to the web based mail for your email account?
Are you able to login and send / receive messages from the web?
If so, you might need to check outgoing email settings on your iPhone
    Settings > Mail, Contacts Calendars
Tap on the account you are having an issue with
Tap on the email address beside the word Account
Tap on info beside SMTP  (SMTP = outgoing mail server)
Tap on the SMTP server name again.
Make sure server is turned on
Check settings & port info, password, etc.
    Good luck!

Just got my first iPhone, (the 4s and installed my email accounts, but wonder if I've done something wrong.  I have verified all incoming and outgoing servers, user names and passwords and they are all correct, but while I can receive email, I can't seem to send.  I keep getting the message "address rejected by server."  Can anyone help?  Thank you all for your time...

You have to go through the out-going server entries again. Consult with your e-mail provider.
