No. Restoring the iPad to the "out of thebox" configuration is the only way to accomplish that.
Ignore the old address and use the new one.

Simply add the email account to Mail, no need for Entourage.
One word of warning, though, iPads tend to become community property (meaning anyone who uses your iPad can access your email). That is why I have zero email accounts on my iPad.
I use Entourage on my desktop as well, so going back and forth between Entourage and Mail (whether on your iPad or iPhone) is no problem.

We are fellow users here on these public forums, I've asked the hosts to remove your phone number and email address from your post - it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum.
If you are trying to add an email account to the Mail app then you should be able to so via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and on the right-hand side of that screen there should be an 'Add Account' button. Tap that, select the type/provider of the account, and fill in its details - you might then just need to fill in your name, your email address, the account's password, and a description.

If you mean for your email account in the mail app, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Delete Account. Then tap Add Account and enter the new information.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I don't think I'd use the find friends app. My concern is to find a lost or stolen ipad.

I've been having the same problem with one of several email accounts on one iPad2 and one iPhone5. It has been driving me crazy. I have deleted and reinstalled the email accounts more times than I can count and was ready to throw the device out the window. However I just found a post from another user who stated that they were able to solve this problem by confirming that the outgoing mail server password was corrected. Apparently they found that after an upgrade the old password was retained by the server. I had never checked this because it's a few extra steps to get into the outgoing mail server. When I did I found that it was incorrect. Once changed, I was able to send the email again. Problem solved! Also I agree that the other user was rude in commenting to you the way that he/she did. I set up a btinternet account by selecting Yahoo from the Add Account screen, and just had to fill in the name, email address, password and a description - I got the same send and receive warning and I had to log into the account via a browser on the iPad to 'confirm' it on it, but it then worked (though I had to go back and re-enter the account's password).
