Email adress not accepted FaceTime en iMessage

O Only two of my email adresses are accepted for use with face time and iMessage. Why?

I have the exact same problem! It's really annoying, and I can barely do anything on my iPad! This just started happening when I updated it to iOS 5! Please help!

I answered my own question. I needed to add my work email address to my iPad FaceTime settings. Works perfect now.

I'm thinking they might slowly be warning people that mobileme is going away , & you have to switch by June or so. And, it seems many iDevices have this detection or change worked in, but not Macs running older OSX versions.
Might as well setup a new account now.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

My apple id will sign in on computer but not in facetime or imessage

i can log onto apple id website with password etc
when i go to ipad and log on with same email and password, the ipad will not accept the password and email with facetime and imessage...
i don't get it.

Hello,
I try to install oracle 11.2 in silentmode on a linux system with an editet Reponsefile (db_install.rsp). All fields are set even the email-adress. But when I start the Installer he stops with the message that no email adress is given?
Can anybody help?

Try resetting the SMC.
MacBook and MacBook Pro with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer
To reset the SMC on newer Mac portables with a battery you cannot remove
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

Why does the "set automatically" button keep turning off in the my date & time area of my settings? When it is off I can not use facetime or imessages.keep during off on my iPad?

I wouldn't suggest going to get it yourself. You could find yourself in a situation you cannot get out of and could get hurt. Your email account is probably a different password.

Adobe email will not accept verification key

Hi, I use photoshop elements 7 and have been using adobe email for sending attachments. I recently changed my email address and for the life of me cannot get adobe email to accept a verification key for my new address. It's always invalid. In organizer I went to edit, preferences, sharing and was able to change the address. I have put in my verification code over and over and it will not accept it. What am I missing? I turned off my firewall and that didn't work either. It worked fine with my previous email. This is getting so frustrating and adobe.com is worthless in getting any help. Please, anybody, do you have any suggestions with step by step instructions? The steps on adobe.com did not work. I am so frustrated!

I had this issue too yesterday. Both my account and my wifes account disappeared and you could not log into them, or reset them as the Date of Birth was not recognized. I am talking with Apple iTunes support.. They are getting quite a few calls like this, sounds like an change has gone wrong, maybe in conjunction with the roll out of 2 step verification. Painful waste of time on a Saturday to resolve this. Interestingly if you have an icloud account linked to your Apple ID and log into that and check your account info, you will see your actual email address as a weird prefix with the word 'disputed'.. A system issues for sure.

My facetime and iMessage will not activate with my apple ID

Ever since I got the phone I can not activate facetime or iMessage on my iPhone 4S, Every time I try to activate in with my apple ID and password it says waiting for activation and when I try to sign in a message pops up and says could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again. It has nothing to do with the network connection because no matter what wi fi I am on it says the same message. Help Please!

I found the fix for the error. Took me a few different tries but I got it to work. You have to completely reset your phone (erase all content and settings) and set it as a, "new phone". I advise you to copy all the information that you want/need onto iCloud first. After I did this my facetime and imessage worked perfectly! Hope this helps.
On a side note as well your contacts won't be erased either but save them on iCloud just in case.

Updating Phone Number for FaceTime and iMessage

My husband and I both have iPhones, iPads, and I just got a new MacBook Pro. We also share an apple ID. But for some reason I can't seem to get Facetime or iMessage to use my phone number... only my husbands. How do I make the contact number MY number? I already changed it on my Apple ID, but when I open FaceTime, it still only gives me the option to add my husband's number.

You can add an email address only with FaceTime and iMessage with an iPad and with any Mac or other iOS device besides the iPhone.
iMessage can be exchanged with any iOS compatible device and with a Mac running OS X 10.7 with the Messages Beta app.
