Email Alert/Notification when client status changes?

Hi,
Does ARD allow for email alerts or notification when a client goes offline or in sleep mode?
Also, does ARD monitor the ON/OFF status of a screen attached to a remote computer?

Something like Dejal Simon might work for you. I don't know of any way for a Mac to detect whether the monitor is turned off or not, though.

I'm looking at either OSX Server or ARD to manage a network of 'client' mac minis.
One requirement is that the system should alert - by email or other form - when a client's status changes (such as Offline, Sleep, Network Down, etc).
Does OSX Server offer that function?

Email notification when Document status changes in Solution Manager

Hi,
Is there a way to send email notification to certain people if the document status changes in Solution Manager?
For example: A notification email should be send to business user when development is complete.
When development is complete, document is set with status 'Build complete'. As soon as this status is set, we want to notify business user to test the object. Similarly on other document statuses as well.

E-mail Notification of Work Status Change

Hi Experts, I configured and triggered a BPC e-mail notification for Work Status change. However, there are few areas I would like to improve on. Please help. A sample notification message is attached below. Areas highlighted in red are the areas I would like to improve on.
Subject: You have received an automated message from %PRODUCT2%
The work status code of Entity has been changed by RCHU:

Here are my questions.
1. Subject line - Where do I configure the variable %PRODUCT2% ?
2. Entity - How can I display the description of the Entity?
3. Date/Time - How can I display local time instead of UTC?

The periodic scripts or launchd would have to send the email. I don't think you have to do anything to send mail, just receive it, you can check that from the command line:
mail [email protected]
When you finish your message put a period on a blank line and hit return, that indiecates the end of the message.
The one butt biter is that Apple puts a .forward file in all home directories that says to direct all mail to /dev/null , essentially it sends it to a black hole. You'll need to edit this file and put in your email address (if you want the email to go there) or the mails (should) wait for the user to run the mail command to read their messages.

VIP email alerts/notifications

I have an iPhone 5, I have a VIP contact setup in my Mailboxes, however, my alert do not show up when a VIP contact emails me. I don't see the email in the VIP inbox unless I refresh my mail then it shows the number of emails and then finally the alert pops up after I have already opened up the email. That just defeats the purpose of notifications if it takes me having to refresh my mail just to see that I have VIP mail. Is there something that I set up wrong?

Now I have my gmail settings as: Notification Center: ON, Alert Style: None, Badge App Icon: ON, New Mail Sound:Ding, Show Preview: OFF and View in Lock Screen: ON. Now I don't have the GMAIL alerts set because even though the VIP is emailing me to my gmail I only want notifications when they email me not from every email I receive from others which is why I set the alerts on the VIP folder and not gmail. Not sure how the VIP folder is attached to the GMAIL. Hope this is making sense.

some general thoughts at the beginning:
Candidates do not have a rejected state. Candidate states are profile locked and profile released. Only applications and candidacies have a rejected state. It is very important for a technical view to have the obect types in e-recruiting very clear or you will get into big trouble sooner or later.
SAP delivered workflows are examples. They do not fit a production environment. Also the sap delivered activity and process customizing is an example (and no good one) you will have to design this according to the business needs in the project.
For the workflow question. It is possible to trigger a workflow by activity creation and activity completion. For status chage activities ths is the same as they are completed directly and never have status planned. The BOR object ERC_ACTIV contains both events, activtycreated is triggered directly, activitycompleted needs a note to run properly.
It is also possible to trigger a workflow by a status change of an object. The super BOR object ERC_OBJECT contains a statuschanged event, which is raised for all status changes of NA, NB, NC, ND and NE objects.
For rejection there are basically 2 scenarions.
Scenario 1
When rejecting a candidacy by creating a rejection activity you trigger a workflow based on the activity to create the corresponces activity automatically. You can either send it directly or just create it to allow the user to have an individual text. (I do not go into details of this workflow according to the chosen application-candidacy-relation, that would go to far at this point).
Scenario 2
When rejecting a candidacy directly in minimum data entry you do not have a status change activity as the status is set directly. In this case you have a workflow which is triggered directly by the status chang which again creates (and sends) the correspondence activity.
Of course you need checks to ensure the two workflows are not mixed.

How to generate a notification when a user changes his password?

I have OIM 11.1.1.5.0 BP02 installed. When an administrator resets a user's password, the following email is sent to the user:
Password has been reset for user <Firstname> <Lastname> . You will be required to change your password on next login.

Last Name: <Lastname>

My requirement is to generate a similar email when a user changes his/her own password. How would I go about doing this?

You can use an event handler for this.
Write your own code as a plugin for the event handler (refer to the developers guide for details on event handlers) then you can reference this from your custom event handler XML configuration with operation "CHANGE_PASSWORD"
e.g.
<action-handler class="<CLASS NAME>" entity-type="User" operation="CHANGE_PASSWORD" name="<EVENT HANDLER NAME>" stage="postprocess" sync="TRUE" order="2000" />
The action "RESET_PASSWORD" is also available for administrator change.

Remote alert notification when s2s tunnel tears down

Does anyone have any insight on how to set up an alert notification (say email) natively whenever a s2s tunnel comes down. Currently experiencing some infrequent s2s issues on an ASA5510 - IOS 8.0(3)

Email alerts delayed when UCS fan is pulled.

We are testing Cisco UCS failover\redundancy and when we pulled a Fan from the UCS chassis the email alerts for both up and down only arrived after we re-inserted the FAN. As if UCS was hanging onto the email until the fan was re-seated. We tested it varying the time the FAN was out of the chassis, waited as long as 10 min with no alert. No other alert behaved like this.
I am checking documentation but have not found any explanation yet. Has anyone heard of or seen this before? what am I missing?

Yeah, you would expect that, wouldn't you? Unfortunately, Verizon chose to do away with the contract technicians they had in the stores (no one new they were contract, they looked like VZW employees) who were actually trained on those kinds of details. 10 years ago, you would've had someone in the store who could do it all, but then VZW wanted them to "pay for themselves" by making accessory sales and getting people to upgrade, then turned them from techs into just another customer service rep dealing with billing stuff, while still call them "techs" and finally just dumped them altogether. They used to have people in the call centers who could walk you through this stuff too, but they seem to have gone away as well.
The company has done away with all of the real "customer service" and refocused everyone on sales. If I'm angry with your company, why would I buy something new from you? Yet they (and many other companies) try.

Service Desk: E-Mail notification when processor is changed

Hi experts,
At the moment I'm implementing a Service Desk scenario. I want to send a e-mail notification to the NEW processor of a service desk message when the processor is changed in a message.
An example:
User A is the current processor of a message. He's no longer responsible so sets User B as message processor, so User B is the new processor and should get an E-Mail-Notification.
My actual problem is to get a helpful condition configuration which checks if the old processor is not equal to the new processor, could you help me with this topic?

As I recall, log into icloud.com with a computer's browser, go to the calendar page and click the "Calendars" button (or in ML, look at the left panel). In the list of calendars, find a shared one, click the small icon next to it. There you'll have the option of being notified when a change is made.

Email alert/notification not working with Exchange/Activesync

Hello, I have an Exchange Active sync setup that is otherwise working just fine. Up until this morning, I had the standard audible and vibrate alert when an email was 'pushed' to the iPhone (when locked). This stopped working. I now have to go into the email app, it seems to then 'check' for emails, and only then I receive an alert. I should mention that I upgraded to 2.1 this morning so this could be related. Is it possible that 'push' is not working properly? All my other 'push' settings are the same, and I deleted my account and re-established it to verify I did not miss anything. Thanks in advance.

I am experiencing the same issue. I logged a support incident with Apple; the tech I spoke to added an Exchange acocunt to his iPhone and had the same problem - no "push". He promised to get back to me tomorrow with hopefully a solution. I will keep you posted.

CCMS Email Alert Notifications

Hi. I am creating an alert to let the helpdesk know when someone locks their ID due to incorrect passwords. I've got it working with the SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT but I can't get it to work with the copied version(ZZSALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT). Can anyone give me a few pointers here?

Is it regarding auto reaction ? Usually we use Method CCMS_OnAlert_Email or CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 ( copy these to ZCCMS_OnAlert_Email or ZCCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 ) which calls FM SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT or SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT_V2.Did you check the parameter tab and release tab of the Z method ? Auto reaction should cheched under release tab of the method and the required parameters( SENDE,RECIPIENT etc ) should be maintained under parameter tab

Transfer Rule copy in BW When client is changed ...Urgent please help

We have BI 7.0 System Connected with R/3 as S.system Which has two clients(Client 90 and client 10) , Earlier the Source System connection was with Client 90 and Exists feel Transfer rules and Ipackages, Now the Connection is changed to Client 10, So is there any possibility or a process that i can copy all these Transfer Rules and I package from (client 90)to (Client10), But not creating it manually again.
Can any one please suggest me some idea.

The note is for changing the client or copying it from one S.system to another sys (Eg:- dev to production)
But in my case i have to change the client within Bw system , So that i can get all the transfer rule from one client to another
