Email Alias auf Icloud verschwunden, auf Mail und Iphone noch vorhanden

Hallo zusammen. Ich habe folgendes Problem. Ich habe einen @me.com Email-Alias angelegt. Über den Mac (da dann Mail) und über das iphone kann ich auf den angelegten Alias auch zugreifen. Auf icloud.com erscheint der Alias jedoch nicht in der Übersicht bei den Einstellungen und auch auswählen lässt er sich nicht. In den Einstellungen steht 3 von 3 Aliase noch verfügbar (ich habe sonst keinen Alias angelegt). Über Mac und iPhone lässt sich der Alias auch verwenden (Senden und Empfangen funktioniert einwandfrei), über icloud jedoch eben nicht. Weiss wer Rat?

Has anyone taken an Mobile Me Alias, that was migrated to iCloud, and then switch that alias to an iCloud account?

Yes. I had an alias and migrated that to iCloud without a hitch. I did this via the web - icloud.com first, then on my iphone/ipad I shutoff the contacts/calendars on my mobileme account and it asked if I would like to leave on phone/ipad or delete. I selected to leave on iphone/ipad so when I sign-in with the new icloud account it asked if wanted to sync (can't remember the exact request) the contacts/calendar on this iphone/ipad with icloud.
But I am having trouble adding alias email to the icloud - it won't let me do it at all.
I can't wait until (or hope) Apple will allow you to combine two accounts - icloud with your itunes account (if they are seperate).

Adding school email which is powered through google mail to iPhone 4s

I hope you can help me with my issue.
I want to add my school email to my iPhone device. My school's email is powered through gmail if that makes sense.
Steps I have taken based on instructions from google:
Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings
Sign in to Gmail.
Click the gear in the top right.
Select Settings.
Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Select Enable IMAP.
Click Save Changes.
Once, I completed the above steps, I then continued with the below steps

Everything worked correctly, my email was saved to the device. BUT, I then get a pop requesting me to enter in the EXCHANGE password, which I assume to the password for my school email address acount. I entered " Abc123 ", just like I did in step 12 and it says the password is incorrect?
Thus, I cannot get any of my emails through the mail app.

Can't default to email alias when sending mail

I set up an email alias on iCloud. On my Mac when I send a new email the "sent from" email defaults to the alias but I can't figure out how to do that on my iPad or iPhone. I can manually change the sent from email while composing but that's a pain. Does anyone know how to default to an alias when composing new emails?

Eventually solved the problem by changing the password for the two email logins and recreating the accounts in Sparrow.

You should be able to access it from Safari on your MacBook, or another computer.
You can only access it on an iOS device if you use an altrenative browser like iCabMobile Web Browser, and set the Browser ID in the app's settings to Safari (Mac).

These addresses are only now becoming available, and are being rolled out to subscribers over an unspecified period of time. It will be an @icloud.com alias, not an @me.com one, and so it seems possible that you won't be able to create an alias until your account has been upgraded.
Incidentally your signature says you are running 10.6.1 - is this in fact the case? If it isn't, please bring it up to date to prevent possible confusion when people answer your questions.

No Mail On iPhone After Going to iCloud

I went to iCloud a few days ago. Got mail via iPhone and iPad 2 until tonight: 8:30 NYC time. Neither my iPhone nor iPad 2 can reteive mail. I get the dialogue box: "The User name or password for iCloud is incorrect." Which it isn't as I went to settings to make sure everything is in order on both devices for mail. Ok, here is my theroy. In looking at the settings on the iPhone & iPad under mail/account/advance/outgoing mail server/primary server/
The Server is on (cannot turn it off)
but under Authentication it is set for Apple Token. Since you cannot turn off the server and change it to id/password I came up with this temp solution until apple comes up with a fix:
I did the following:
under mail
Add Account: (other)
Mail
Add Mail Account
Name (Your Name)
address (account [email protected])
Password (iCloud Password)
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: imap.mail.me.com
address (account [email protected])
Password (iCloud Password)
Outgiong Mail Server
SMTP smtp.mail.me.com
address (account [email protected])
Password (iCloud Password)
After your done filling out the information hit the next button & it will start to verify. It my verify sucessfuly or come back & say it was unable to verify. if the latter, then just hit continue.
Hit the save button & you now have access to your mail.
It worked for me.
