Email and Adobe Business Catalyst

I would like my client to host their website with Adobe Business Catalyst. They do not want to move their email accounts. What do I need to tell them to ensure that all continues to work - both wedsite and email. Will there be problems having two different hosting companies?

They just need to point the A-records of the domain to BC.

CAPTCHA w/o Adobe Business Catalyst?

Is it possible to place CAPTCHA code in the Forms Widget without using Adobe Business Catalyst? I have a Web client who wants to use her own provider and not transfer to Adobe but also wants a CAPTCHA option for her email.
OR do I need to create (or find) a complete piece of Forms code (non-Widget) that includes the CAPTCHA code?

If you have BES, then you need to talk to your BES admin for the proper method to activate your BB on BES.
If you do not have BES, then you should not even be going into anything related to Enterprise email...instead, you should see Internet or Personal email setup in addition to Enterprise. If you do not see Internet or Personal, then your device is not properly activated by your mobile service provider for BIS-level Internet/Personal email services...contact them for assistance.

I've been developing in BC now for many years now, and I’ve integrated more than 300 websites. I have always felt there was a need for a resource to learn how to do site integration from start to finish for developers – so I created my own lesson series. Delete site in Adobe Business Catalyst

How can I delete a SITE create in Adobe Business Catalyst, I have a Creative Cloud account.

From this post from the Business Catalyst forum:
Login the into the admin first
After login click on the Partner Portal link on the top.
Click on clients tab
Click the site that you want to delete
Under Details section on the righthand side you will find [Delete site] option at the bottom right corner of details section or next to the Upgrade site button.
Click Delete site button a feedback will be asked fill it if you want or just press the Delete site button at the bottom of the form and your site will be deleted

We moved the "Delete Site" functionality to the Admin Console of the website in order to help Creative Cloud users and beginners cancel an existing paid website that they don't need anymore. Here's a snapshot of this new feature.
Note that this "new" BC does not go live until July 2nd, so this feature may not be accessible until then.

Help with Adobe Business Catalyst?

I am having a serious issue with trying to get information regarding a tech issue with Adobe Business Catalyst for a client. I cannot get even a chat room help. Is there no access to a chat room or immediate support? I was told yesterday that I would get an answer back and have not had a response. I have multiple accounts and have encouraged client to sign up with Adobe CC....now I need to get some help and it's hard to find.

The piece of code seems to work, but everytime BC fires a pop up window, like wen we add a new product to the shoping cart or wen we hit the empty shoping cart button, they go back to the original strings in English, and only when we refresh the browser or move to another catalog and continue shoping, the messages go back to Portuguese. There is an AJAX refresh of the DIV when you click certain items, you need to rebind your javascript on the refresh of the content.

I am looking for a third-party Affiliate Program that will integrate well with the Adobe Business Catalyst platform.
The requirement is fairly basic, i.e., to track multiple affiliates and down-stream affiliate-to-affiliate referrals. Also looking to report and display these referrals an affiliate’s dashboard.
We have looked into Affiliate Program Software, Affiliate Tracking Software Marketing and would like to entertain other options before making a decision.

For what it is worth, I am a fan of NuGen, I have both SEQ 1 and 2 and two stereo enhancing tools (stereoizer and stereoplacer I think they're called). Since I have the SEQ 1 it replaces all Channel EQ's. And the stereotools sound great and very lush, in stead of the more usual cheezy combfilterthingies that pass for stereo enhancing tools.
And I actually like the interfaces. Simple, but stylish, functional and ergonomic (in this case meaning you can see all parameters in a quick glance, no guessing at settings).

BC is a SAAS site so you can not just migrate it to another hosting. You would have to take layouts/templates and export the data as spreadsheets through reports in BC etc.
From there you would have to replace modules and tags with flat content or what ever the system needs that you migrate to.
Like with any system to system migration it wont be straight forward or a push click solution.

Switching hosts to Adobe business catalyst...

I am looking to utilize the in-broswer editing feature via Adobe business catalyst, but my clients website is hosted from a different source. Is there a way I can switch over to Adobe Business Catalyst and keep the same URL? Looking to be able to pass this off to my client for their own editing as it is consuming my time.

Adobe Business Catalyst Training

Hi,
I have some experience using Adobe Business Catalyst but have a budget to improve the gaps in my knowledge. Mainly I need help developing custom templates along with the e-commerce side.
I am struggling to find any courses on the subject in the UK? I don't really like the online training videos as they just send me to sleep, I would much prefer a few days in a class room working on example projects.
Any BC fans out there that can suggest some courses for me? Ideally in the South West, but willing to travel.

I'm just about to accept registrations for my upcoming Build with Me course. We'll do an entire site build (real project) using my new framework BC Pie and best practices. The course is twice a week for 90min each session, and runs for 6 weeks. My intention is to train the next generation of BC front-end developers.

Push your site live with Adobe Business Catalyst

I don't see how to access this feature? Any documentation on this? New to the Cloud services.

Hi Denis, Sorry for not replying sooner. I actually managed to create a multilingual site. (See also my other post on http://forums.adobe.com/message/4873218#4873218 and the replies I've received)
I have created an English subfolder where the English site resides. If you want to reuse content, images or video's you have to "point to" the directories where these documents are stored.
First I made a duplicate of the Dutch Adobe Muse file and altered the text content to English. Then I exported the English site on my local hard drive.
Forms are another matter. If you use Adobe Business Catalyst (ABC) they are compiled when you publish you site within Adobe Muse. In my case the English version didn't work. I created a blank form online in ABC with the forms module. Copied the html-code and added with Adobe Dreamweaver CSS-styles. The form (all the html codes and the CSS codes) I copied as an html element in Adobe Muse.
In Adobe Dreamweaver or any HTML-editor I opened the html-pages by changing the codes that points to the directories images, assets, stylesheets and scripts.
I.e: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/site_global.css?259224851"/> had to be changed in <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../css/site_global.css?259224851"/> where the ../ "tells" that in the above directory /css the document can be found.
this works the same with images and other documents.
I.e: <img id="u8668_img" src="images/apartement.jpg" had to be changed in <img id="u8668_img" src="../images/apartement.jpg"
For a small site the above procedure works fine but if you have a large site I think it's better using Adobe Dreamweaver or any other html-editor.
