Email and session

Hello everybody,
I think I still don't understand Apex and its session handling... I've allready learned how to set a page element at another page with Ajax with this example: http://deneskubicek.blogspot.com/2009/01/ajax-setting-item-session-state.html but now I've got a similar problem again:
I want to send a email to my customer with the confirmation of his appointment. Therefor I create a link in the email, containing the id of the appointment, with which the fetch row process should call all the other data from the database. If I use a link that looks like this:
URL/f?p=310:11:2741489496328030::NO::P11_AUFTRAGSNUMMER:100099
everything works fine. But if i didn't forget everything I've learned, the number 2741... is the session state. Right? So this link doesn't work anymore, after the session is dropped, right again? So I decided, that I would like to send a link without the session state.
URL/f?p=310:11::P11_AUFTRAGSNUMMER:100099
But that doesn't work if I'm opening the link in a new browser window or on another client. But how can I create a new session? Or better, how can I get this working???

Have you tried using the session state substitution string? If you replace the actual session id number from your original URL with this string :&APP_SESSION. (The colon and period are required) this will supply the correct session id for any session automatically at run time. Just a thought. hope it helps.

How to get the job logs from sm35 by using the queue id and session name?

hi all,
can any one please let me know how to read the job log from sm35 by using the session name and queue id. i have the job name and job count but is it possible to download the job log by using the queue id and session name.
FYI..
i want to read this job log and i want to send it to an email id.
-> i am using the job_open and submitting the zreport via job name and job count and then i am using the function module job_close.
but this is not working in my scenario i have the queue id and session name by using this two i want to get the job log is there any function module available or code please provide me some inputs.

Firefox freezes when I try to open my emails and use the internet, what can I do?

Use Mozilla Firefox to see my emails and use the internet from about one week when I try to see my emails or use the internet it takes me to another wed site or gets freezes I am worry about because I don't know what's going up. This is the first time it happening to me. It says Firefox can not work properly it will close and I can lose some information, or click to star a new session but it never starts again it got freeze and I have to shut down the computer.

Use internet explorer as your default until this issue is resolved. Under Firefox, hotmail live will not load my email folders. No problem using internet explorer.

I didn't change my password, but now I can't get into my account. I don't remember my original email. Is there a way to find out what the email is?
Surely it can't be against privacy rules. On other sites when I click the lost password it will say "email to [email protected]"
All I need to know is the email and the rest is easy. Is there a way to find this out?
I've had this account forever and don't want to lose it over someone just hacking my account.

Write to file, send to email and pause...

I have a procedure that writes to a file and sends as an email attachment.
This procedure uses FOR LOOP, the goal is to get the distinct EMP ID, LOOP and his REFERENCE NUMBER, LOOPS again gets all his record on table and WRITES to file and SEND to EMAIL.
I have a total of 1,700 files to send to each EMP, however our Email Administrator told me they could not accomodate to send emails that much, they were afraid our email server would crash.
So I have to rewrite my procedure and use a DELAY option.. Is that possible to put the DELAY option on my code? Let say send 100 email and pause for 10 mins and so on..
Is this possible to write on the query?

Would it be possible to use the DBMS_LOCK.SLEEP procedure?

This procedure suspends the session for a given period of time.

Email and BBM Notifications

I just got a replacement phone and I get sounds notifications for both email and BBM that I want to adjust or turn off. That said, when I go to the "notifications" area of "System Settings" and scroll down to "Applications" I do not have either "Email" or "BBM" listed in there. I checked a friends phone and he has them in there, and we have the same phone and software version.
Would appreciate any idea of where to go to change these settings (not in HUB management I looked there) as well as why these two would not be listed in that area.

If you haven't tried a reboot, or a reset, do it and then check again. Personally, I would reboot first, then try soft reset if reboot doesn't fix it.

Emails and facebook notifications ...

Hi,
I've had my blackberry bold 9700 since the 11th June. Since then i've had troubles reciving emails and facebook notifications. Sometimes they come though but not for a good 15 mins - 1 hour and sometimes they don't even come through at all! does anyone know what i need to do? i tried a new hanset still didnt do it, rang o2 they dont know as all settings are right their end.. anyone? thanks

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

I changed my email and now I am unable to change it on my iphone to get updates

My email address has been changed. I changed it in my itunes and everything however my icloud account will not let me change on my phone. Meaning it pops up asking me to log in but it displays my old email and does not give me the option to change it. I have gone on line and confirmed that it is all changed to my new email but it will not change on my phone. any ideas?

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
Kep trying.

I deleted my old Email account because I wanted to create a new one, and I did. However, when ever I send an Email from the Mail app on my laptop it says the Email was sent from my old Email and I just can not get rid of it.

I deleted my old Email and only used my new Email to set up the Mail app on my laptop. And the old Email is completely dead, hotmail.com says the Email no longer excists when I try to sign back in to it however my Emails remain saying 'Sent from Jordan [*old Email*].

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

We went through my friend's phone and my daughter's email and phone number are not in it. I have never given my daughter's iphone number to my friend. Is it something to do with gmail or my apple id? My daughter (14) has been using my computer as her "base" for HER Iphone.
My friend does use her iphone number as an email address as well.

and her email address would look like this: [email protected]
If I Iphone/email my friend, she receives it as a text message. Then if she replies to that text message, it goes to my daughter's phone and not mine. It's completely crazy! We searched her phone contacts and did not find my daughter's phone number anywhere or attached anywhere to mine. Since when does Iphone emailing wind up in the text messaging area?

I am not aware of a way except for photos that allows you to select multiple files in an email. I even checked settings in the Adobe Reader app, and it does not show that ability.

How to take off email and website subscription from 2006 iMac to sell?

I have a desktop Imac that I bought in 2006 and would now like to sell. I also bought a laptop in 2007 that I prefer using. How do I remove the email and website subscription from the desktop model without messing up the laptop info? They seem to be connected at this point and I am not sure how to take off the information from one without damaging the other.

Have you solved this problem? If not, can you be more specific? You can change the email account information using Email preferences. Which website subscription would you like to remove?
